The 2025 Sorento we purchased new from them in March has given us many issues including already getting a brand new transmission, two new window motors and subsequent bumpy riding requiring two more visits to service. They have tried to sell us a Nissan to replace this vehicle and while I appreciate their efforts, they were offering a Rogue, which is a smaller vehicle, at a higher monthly payment. I had written an email of complaint to a person in the corporate office to whom I was referred. The only reason I gave two stars is because I will say they have always been friendly and professional in all areas of the Peltier company. However, once the problem went undetected and once we had to drive it to Kia in Frisco when a danger light came on when we returned to the car after a week away in another state and on a Friday night, so we were lucky to get to Frisco on a Saturday. It will be our last Kia and likely our last vehicle from Peltier. read more

It's been 4 years since I bought the Kia from them and that was the biggest mistake of my life I've been bombarded repeatedly with phone calls and occasional email and at least mail once a week about trading it in. If you want to buy something and be harassed continuously after you do about trying to trade it in this is definitely the business you want to go to. The salesman was completely dishonest about the different features and about which ones you had to pay for after the trial.... And before you buy any Kia you need to look at the maintenance and what I was required to stay under warranty that's how you really get screwed. As far as the shop I would trust them with my life. I'm not sure how this place stays in business or has so many good reviews. This is my experience: I have been trying to get an estimate for work on my 2016 kia forte. On multiple occasions I have called wanting to speak with someone about getting an estimate for work to be done and scheduling. First time it was new tires, struts, and breaks. This time it's 100k service which includes a lot of work. The first time, I called 2 or 3 times, never got a call back and eventually went with a local garage here in Palestine. This second time, I called three times and still have not gotten a call back. Each time I called, I allowed a day before calling back, and each time they told me they will have the service manager call. I bought this car new when I lived in Dallas and never had this type of issue. I guess I'm going to take it back to Dallas because I can't get the service here. The car has not had many problems and has been a good car, but since this is the only local dealership, I'd never consider buying another one. Take time to read all paperwork before signing. When they quote you an interest rate, see if it is higher when you receive the paperwork. If you purchase their their Autoguard Plus , best warranty plan, and they tell you it's for 125,000 miles or ten years, check your paperwork and see if it shows only 72 months. When they tell you that you will get two free oil changes, check your paperwork and see if you paid $290.00 for that free service. are these just mistakes or are they lies. You be the judge. I researched online reviews, social media accounts and their website. One thing stood out: they are proud of their employees, it's important for their hard working employees to have fun and customer service is their #1 priority. Their state-of-the-art facility includes software enabling the customer to see their repairs in real time. Your service advisor will update you via text or in person if you are waiting and actually show you the repairs while they are being made. The lounge to wait for service is VERY comfortable. They even have a screen constantly updating the progress of the cars in for service that day. I appreciated how easy it was to navigate their website to input my information & make an appointment! I even spoke to a couple of people in the lounge about whether they like this dealership. Both responses were "best dealership repair place I've ever had; people are knowledgeable & friendly". When Ginger, their SM Director finds out it's your 1st time there, she will come greet you personally and thank you for choosing Peltier KIA! Matthew is the Service Director. I immediately liked him and felt he was being honest about exactly what my vehicle needed to be road worthy & safe. Summerann, A-Rod, Neil, & the rest of the service staff are great to work with! Only giving one star because it won't let me go further without it. Went in to purchase a vehicle. The salesman was fantastic. Coop was his name. One of the best I've ever worked with. unfortunately the finance guy, Joshua, cost poor Coop the sale. we laid out our budget from the start. Gave them the limit we were able to pay per month. Got approved for a vehicle. Then enters Joshua. First offer was $250 ABOVE the limit we gave him. I get it. It is their job to push a little. We doubled our original down payment. He refused to lower the payment. we left to talk about it. They called us to come back because they had another offer. Still over 150 from our limit. The finance guy refused to work with us and the limits we set. He was condescending. he was the epitome of sleazy pushy sales people and he cost poor Coop a sale. Worst service. (2013 Kia Soul)Started when my car developed steering problems. Looked up about it, noticed a recall. Called up talked with warranty manager, gave my vin #. She responded that yes it was covered. Made an appointment in couple of days. Brought the car in and also since the car was also on the fuel reimbursement, ask if they could also submit the mileage. Got a call later telling me it was not going to be covered since I bought the car in 2012. Picked up the car and asked the Service manger (Matthew Binning) to submit my mileage. This was the beginning of April. One month later had not received reimbursement, call the company handling the court appointed reimbursement, had not received anything from the dealer. Called left multiple messages and finally calling, got hold of Mr. Binning's, was told it was sent in and would resend. One month later, still no reimbursement, called company, they had not received. So called again, left messages. No answer. Tried talking to GM Joshua Hartman, each time only talked with operator who sends messages. Now 2 more weeks and no call from anyone. read more

He texted, not called, literal minutes before they opened. I had already been driving there for 45 minutes to the dealership. "We sold the car an hour ago." HOW? Liar. Brought my car in for a problem with the radar unit that controls the adaptive cruise control and the autonomous emergency braking system. Technician test drove the car and declared there was no problem. Spent 5 hours (it's a 2 hour round trip from my house) for a car wash. Problem still exists. Texted and Emailed the SA about it and received no response. Monday AM a rep called me asking if I was satisfied and I indicated the problem wasn't repaired. She assured me that the SA would call me back ASAP but I received no call. I also received a survey and filled that out expressing my concerns. Crickets. I have a copy of the service manual and checked the procedure for checking this component and the technician didn't follow the procedure. He simply test drove the car and decided there was no problem, without using the prescribed procedure, which would have fixed the issue or indicated the failing component. This is not the level of service I got from my former dealer and I am probably going to go elsewhere due to the lack of response. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews but ignoring a customer will get you to this. read more

It's funny how Brianna at Peltier Kia is their apoligist. Shes so concerned. Lol. All the bad reviews are justified and it's how they run their business. Extract as much money as they can as often as they can by deception. I brought my car in recently for a required inspection that's required to keep the warranty valid. They had no clue about the service I needed, but the service tech said that I also needed, according to the service manual, that the transmission needed the fluid/filter changed. Thats strange, the transmission is sealed and no maintenance is ever required. That saved me $400+ that they wanted to charge. The tech said the sparks plugs also needed to be replaced for $100 each. Of course the manual says it's every 97,500 miles. Was also told the radiator needed to be flushed. Again, the manual says 120,000 miles. The tech said the brake fluid needed changing. Not according to the manual. This was all before they even examined the car. For the record, the car meets no manual parameters for severe driving. Orlando called me about an inquiry I had made about a vehicle Online. he was very nice and polite BUT I was told twice that they were going to "crunch" some numbers and both times I was told after a couple of hours the vehicle had been sold... I've never done business like this. It was pretty upsetting to be told it had been sold but to text me and tell me later it didn't and he would get with the finance manager and then a couple hours later tell me 30 min before the dealership closed it had sold was to much. Definitely the greatest experience I've had in any dealership. I was treated so well I raved about it to my friends and family and they were treated the same way. Ginger is a doll, she has the biggest most genuine smile I've ever seen. She touched base with us and made small talk with my kiddos. The salesmen were also amazing, and I even talked to the GM Josh who made time to thank me for my business. Bruce was more than fair when it came to seeing what I had to trade in, he was my hero and got me out of my gas guzzler! Please read before you go here, I bought a used 2017 manual Subaru WRX about 5 days ago. I regret this decision, because first of all I live in Dallas and they placed the car for a good price and they got in touch with me pretty quick and told me yes that's the sales price. So I drove the 2 hours over there and when we sat down they added 1500 dollars in "Dealer Fees." To go through the transmission and make sure it was "Perfect." We test drove it noticed the clutch felt weird and when we said that the salesman quickly responded with saying that they went through and he could guarantee that car. He told me multiple times if it wasn't for me he would have bought it. He made me feel confident about the car. When I got there he asked for the down payment, so I gave it him. That was a bad idea, because after they added all their fees I wanted to walk away, but I couldn't because he had my money. When I asked for it back he told us "No, sit back down let me talk to my advisor first." so he walked back and spoke with him, but it was still not the price we wanted so we told him we wanted to leave but once again he still had my down payment and refused and went back to his manager. We asked several times to leave, but he never gave up. I felt pressured to buy the car, because we couldn't have walked out when we asked multiple times. They then lowered the price and I couldn't walk away, because he made me feel that I couldn't because it was already after closing time and we were on their time and they were doing it for me. They added a warranty that I paid for. They promised me it would cover all powertrain pretty much everything. I was very much stuck and felt there was no walking away with the pressure they put on me. Im 18 and this was my first car to buy on my own. Now 3 days after purchase the car broke down on the side of the highway and I couldn't get to work and had to take it to Subaru to fix. I called Kia and asked for warranty information. they gave it to them and it wouldn't cover anything. I was lied to and given false confidence. I begged the dealership to take it back in which, they denied multiple times even offered a portion of my down payment for them to keep. Still no, they basically said it's my own problem now. And when we called them, the salesman stated that me and my brother didn't know how to drive a manual and that we ruined the car. When Subaru had it they stated it's almost impossible to ruin the car even if you didn't know how to drive manual at all. They said when they opened it, it was clearly done over time and that it was hard to miss. Especially if they opened the car like they claimed to have because that's what their "dealer fees" covered. so either they knew that it was bad and hoped we wouldn't noticed or that it lasted long enough for where it could be pinned on us or they never went through the car and just wanted to make money on an 18 year old to take advantage. If it wasn't for Sewell Subaru in Dallas Texas the car would still be broken down. Kia did nothing for me, they claim they convinced Sewell to fix it for free, but another lie. They still refuse to take the car back. read more

I was in search for a new car since I do travel nursing and did not want to put a lot of travel miles on my SUV. So a friend suggested that the new Kia K 5 are nice and have a nice red interior so got in touch with Jessica at Peltier Kia in Tyler she gave me a quote for a Kia K 5 at $37,000 which I thought was pretty steep since I could of had the car built online for a base package of 27,000 or the vip package of $28238. She then text me back on a Monday 2 days later and said they were ready to make a deal I informed her that I was 2 hours away so I need to know the price before I leave work and drive that way so how much would it be.... she then sends me a text and says that the car is $47,000!!! So not only was the car financed extremely higher than the MSRP but in 2 days this lady increased the price by $10,000. Jessica at Peltier Kia and to your managers you should be aware of this and the awful customer service that is offered here by this person. She seems to lack integrity and just pure honesty. I do not recommend to KIa in Tyler to anyone due to this practice of jacking up their prices in order to get over on their consumers. Buyer beware and certainly do not allow this lady to attempt to sell you a car or at least I would not! However, on a good note I have found that Kia in Longview customer service is great and am looking to purchase my K5 this week! read more
