We added a brand new bathroom to the house with BNO and they went above and beyond. We made our master bedroom smaller and took up a closet of a different room so we could add a second bathroom to the house and increase the size of our walk-in closet. Nestor Cabrera was our project manager and was professional, responsive and transparent throughout the whole project. I appreciate that their estimate included a comprehensive list of the work that would be done and the payment schedule, so we knew exactly what to expect throughout the process. They had an in-house architect work with us to draw the plans and a an interior designer to help us pick finishes as part of their service, whereas many other companies quoted us extra for that. Júlio and Rogélio who worked on the construction itself were phenomenal. They consulted us on every decision that wasn't obvious, so nothing was a surprise. As a designer, I loved their attention to detail. We have a family member who works in the luxury construction space and every step of the way, he was impressed with the quality of their work. They kept the workspace extremely clean and were super respectful of our space. It was a pleasure to work with them. You could see how much they cared in little gestures, like making sure our kitten didn't escape when they were coming in and out of the house. As any construction project, there were unexpected things that came up. We have an old house and it's located in a flood zone, so that slowed us down a little bit. We've worked with Ben Giat before on a complex retaining wall project. Since then, he's launched his own company and we recently completed another piece of work with them. It involved rerouting pipes to the street and as per city permits we needed to cut open a large portion of the sidewalk and pour concrete and asphalt to finish it. They redid my asphalt driveway to concrete driveway. The condition of my asphalt was pretty bad with huge potholes. They gave me a quote that was very competitive to replace my driveway with new asphalt. It was so good that I inquired how much to do concrete because I originally didn't think I could afford it. But in the end, the concrete pricing with the financing through another company made sense for us to do the work with them. Nestor sent me the contracts and quote in a timely manner and any discrepancies and questions were answered or dealt with quickly. When the time came to do the work, it was delayed because of waiting for 411 to mark the water and Pge lines. While searching for contractors for a kitchen remodel, we were contacted by BNO builders who offered to come and give us a quote. Not having done any remodeling since the purchase of our house in 1992, we were unsure of what to expect. Several companies were not interested in our smaller project and those who came to give a quote wanted to convince us to do a much higher end remodel than we were prepared to do. Nestor at BNO was willing to come short notice on a Sunday, took preliminary measurements, discussed what we wanted, made suggestions, and gave us company background information.
