Irvin, Hugo, and their crew did a great job with our backyard. Irvin had suggested an amazing idea to set stepping stones in the corner of our yard which complemented our pre-existing pavers well. Their quotes and price contract was laid out in-depth detail and they were accommodating of any changes. What stood out to us was that they went the extra mile and help us re-plant some of our pre-existing plants and fixed some of our pavers at no extra charge. A time to Finish our front Landscaping My hubby had a Vision and started but wasn't able to complete it for me. Again, with much Prayers for God's Guidance, Directions we contacted for 3 Bids. One company with the initials of SL on Yelp great reviews was not a pleasant experience for us. They wanted Photos before they would even consider to bid. After much stress I did the photos, took the measurements as requested. I didn't expect them to come out to bid but they did and their bid was very high. I kept on praying and D&I Landscaping appeared and had great Yelp reviews. My initial reaction was Alyssa Torres was my first contact very personable and then we booked for Luis Blanco to come out to access our needs. No request for measurements or photos at all. Our job was easier only because my hubby knew what he wanted to have done and gave them his Vision and with their advice and help we tweaked a few things. Pavers is not an easy job especially when there's already Pavers installed, the guy I watched him and he was so methodical and kept placing Pavers down until he felt that he got the flow down and it was an amazing and challenging job but he did very well in my opinion. What we Love about D&I , is one of the owners Irving and their Designer Luis came over to meet with us. D&I doesn't charge for a Designer as some other companies do its part of their services. Irving, David, Luis and Alyssa and the entire Crew are so professional again this company was very Honest, Reputable, Hardworking and most of all they listen to our needs. One time our water spigot started leaking or spouting and we have this Project Group Text that they set up for us, all we do is text and within a few minutes David one of the owners showed up and turned it off while we were gone. They installed a water spigot that is easy for us to reach. They finished our Irrigation system along with installing a Rain Bird timer. It's hard to find a good honest company with Integrity but this company has it. Remember the company with the Initials SL think of S = a hard rock. Well... we had 3 bids which included backyard and front yard. When I called SL company and explained change of plans not doing the backyard she said oh, well that changes your front yard quote by 8 - 10% I was livid are you kidding me? No, it changes your price, the Lord quickly had me shut the door on this company bad feelings from the time I contacted them had to do measurements and photos. When the guy showed up,from SL, I told him you're young but you are passing on small jobs because you don't have time, let me tell you something passing on small job could lead you to something bigger, he was cordial and what was funny was after I went into the house he took measurements. When during our conversation I said how can you bid without taking measurements he replied because I've been doing this a long time really you're not even 40 Years old. D&I I contacted them to not include our backyard sent me a new quote penny for penny they just took off the back yard quote the front yard stayed the same. Honesty and Integrity goes a long way plus they don't charge us for a Porta Potty as SL did on our quote $250 for a Porta Potty folks she said unless you want the crew into your house to potty. I did let our Painters use our restroom which is fine they're in our house anyway and they were so professional and kind to us. To each its own. Looking for good Quality Work, a company with Honesty, Interity and a great ideas on your Landscaping this is the company and we had Carpenter Bees in one of our Post. David one of the owners worked really hard into the dark repairing it and he also placed the boulders back onto our neighbors lot for them. Irving drops by to check on the progress of our project. D&I were fantastic to work with from start to finish. Our front lawn was completely overgrown and we had dead trees that were falling over. Well, let me tell you, D&I came to the rescue (not all heroes wear capes!) Within 1 week D&I had dug everything up, removed these trees and unwanted bushes and covered the entire area with weed cloth and pea gravel. They planted some really gorgeous flowers and shrubs, and set up irrigation so it's super low maintenance. The neighbors have commented that they love how the front lawn looks now! D&I are very communicative, kind, and give a fresh perspective to things. For example, I was thinking about redoing my backyard which I thought was stamped concrete. D&I inspected it and told me they are real flagstone and it's expensive and not worth replacing. I really appreciated that they weren't trying to squeeze every last penny out of us. We recently completed a substantial outdoor project with D&I Landscape, and we are very happy with both the experience and the final result. This was our second time working with D&I, and the experience was just as positive as the first. From the beginning, they were professional, responsive, and realistic. During the quoting process, they never made exaggerated promises just to win the job. In fact, they seem to follow an "under-promise and over-deliver" approach. They estimated roughly three to four weeks for the work, but once the project started, everything moved very quickly and efficiently. Communication was excellent throughout. We had a dedicated project leader who stayed involved, checked the work regularly, visited the site frequently, and kept in touch by text. We were asked for feedback along the way, and any concerns or questions we raised were addressed immediately. The crew was also great to work with. They arrived early, worked full days, and were courteous and professional. There were no long unexplained gaps in the schedule, which is something we have experienced with other contractors. They were respectful of our home and neighborhood--no loud music or unnecessary disruption--and the work site never became an unreasonable mess. They also made a point of periodically cleaning up dirt and debris that accumulated in the street during the work. Our project included about 700 square feet of new pavers in the garden, refurbishment of a 14-by-18-foot deck, a raised planting bed filled with soil, and additional water outlets. D&I also helped us with material selection. They brought samples so we could choose the pavers and the decking boards ourselves, which we appreciated. Drainage and water evacuation were carefully planned throughout the project. One detail that especially impressed me was how precisely the refurbished deck lined up with the pavers. The pavers had already been installed the previous week, yet when the deck was completed, the two surfaces met at exactly the right level. That kind of accuracy says a lot about their planning and technical experience. We also made a few changes to the original plan during construction. D&I was very accommodating and incorporated our requests without trying to nickel-and-dime us for every adjustment. Even though some of our changes may have added a little cost on their side, they stayed with the original quote. I also appreciated how professionally payments were handled. Progress payments came with proper invoices clearly stating what work had been completed, and we were not expected to pay most of the project cost upfront. D&I may not be the absolute cheapest contractor, but their pricing is competitive, and the professionalism, reliability, workmanship, and peace of mind are worth a lot. We had a great experience whith D&I Landscape, who worked on our backyard after some serious water damage. They quickly scheduled an estimate that was very detailed and the price was very reasonable. They worked on a retaining wall, drainage system, leveling,  decks, and adding cement and mulch. D&I is super organized and easy to communicate with. It was time for our HOA to replace our old black asphalt driveway that could no longer be recoated. We decided to go for pavers as it would improve the curb appeal of our homes. We had the privilege of working with D&I on redoing our front and back yards a couple months ago, and we are so happy with all the work they did! Even two months after completion, they are still very responsive to any questions or concerns that have come up. From the start, working with them was super easy. We are so glad we found D&I Landscape to transform our backyard and bring our ideas to life. From the very beginning, the experience was excellent. Luis, the designer, was our first point of contact and helped us refine our vision and budget. Our project included new plants, two large planter boxes, decomposed granite, artificial lawn, pavers, and a dry creek. We also wanted a gazebo, and Irvin recommended one from Amazon that the crew skillfully built for us. Included in our backyard design was a major fix to our existing patio cover roofing. We had installed a patio a few years back, but the roof leaked so badly during rain that we could not use the space--and we constantly had to cover our outdoor furniture. During the initial walkthrough, Irvin and Luis immediately noticed that our second story had no gutters and the patio roof had no slope, so all the rainwater just collected on top with nowhere to go. Their solution was to re-slope the roof and install proper gutters and drainage that directed the water into our new dry creek." I am happy to report that after the first rain, our patio stayed completely dry--something we had not experienced before! After signing the contract and submitting a deposit, Luis and Irvin (our project manager) met with us again to explain each step of the process in detail. D&I Landscape did an amazing job with our front yard makeover. Irvin was the project manager and led a skilled crew of workers. They arrived early each morning and cleaned up at the end of the day. The project entailed demolishing an old cracked concrete driveway widening it, removing the concrete walkway leading into the house and adding a walkway towards the sidewalk and replacing it all with pavers. I requested a quote for a backyard renovation. Though they were nice to talk to, came & heard my project requirements & gave me a free quote. But they were the MOST expensive amongst the 5 quotes I took - I only reached out to landscapers with 4.5+ Stars with at least 100+ reviewers on Yelp. D&I were 3x the average quote for the others. Not only they were double & triple charging me to haul away dirt during the renovation (charges for hauling away dirt & debris for pavers, again charging for hauling dirt & debris for turf installation, and a third charge for hauling dirt & debris for retaining wall installation!!!), they also added access fees & material handling charges 3 times. None of the others did this - they all had a single total price for hauling dirt, access fees & material handling which alone was 70% cheaper than theirs. I liked the person who I interacted with, but I kept feeling like they were trying to get as much money out of me as they could :( I wish them luck with their other clients. read more

I first hired D&I landscape to repair the sidewalk in front of my home. The company had the best quote and Irvin Ochoa informed me of what will exactly be done to the sidewalk. Demolish of the concrete, which concrete pavers needed repair and which needed to be completely redone, clean up etc. The company did such an amazing job with the concrete sidewalk, that I hired them to repair and replace a wood window frame on my 100+ year old home, also, replace my old and rusty front yard fence metal panels and redid my tiles in my master bathroom. I hired D&I Landscape to re-do my landscape: front yard, side yard, and backyard. The scope included: 1. Demolition of existing landscape (including a large concrete wall) 2. Drainage throughout 3. Drip irrigation throughout 4. 550 SF paver patio 5. 570 SF artificial turf 6. 2 wooden gates 7. Over 60 new plants 8. Landscape lighting 9. Some exterior trim work and paint 10. I hired D&I Landscape to rebuild some paver steps that were poorly built by a previous contractor. They did a great job. They were extremely communicative, and responded to any of my questions very quickly. They were flexible in scheduling the job, and were prompt to get it done. When I pointed out there some issues with their installation (a crooked step on one side and chipped tile) they fixed the issues the following day and paid for the chipped tiles. Scheduling the initial consultation was very quick and easy to coordinate. I needed about 500 sq. ft. of pavers for my backyard. I received several quotes from landscapers and Irvin's was very straightforward and easy to understand. He had a catalog of options to leave with me so I could look at the types of pavers that were available. D&I's quote was in line with several others I received but they were able to start working much sooner. We selected D&I based on quote, availability, and because Irvin was so easy to communicate with. Today is the first day of enjoying the completion of our backyard by Irvin Ochoa, owner/contractor of D&I Landscaping Contractor and his professional team. Irvin was our main contact during the 2 weeks to complete the job. He checked in with us every day. Each step of the way, he would confirm the next steps. He communicated with us at the end of each workday on what to expect for the next work day. Irvin displayed exceptional communication skills. His team always arrived at 8 am sharp, worked consistently throughout the workday, and would meticulously clean the worksite. Irvin and his team went above and beyond. They had to remove excessive clay soil left from foundation work, tree roots left from old trees, and repair of a crumbled concrete wall (which they were able to match the paint). I decided to update my backyard after 30 years, from the beginning the representative from D&I was professional, thorough, walked me through his ideas. The initial proposal was detailed and clear and included mock ups of my yard and space. I was assigned a team for every aspect. I met the representative a the store so I can see the product in person, which was very helpful. The project manager contacted me on a daily basis to address any questions, concerns and making sure I understood next steps. The employees were punctual, hardworking, and respectful. I am beyond thrilled to have worked with D&I Landscape for the conversion of my water-inefficient front lawn to a stunning drought-tolerant landscape. The owner, Irvin Ochoa, was key to my very positive experience. He was highly knowledgeable of landscape construction. He was also helpful with landscape design -- for example, plant suggestions and placement. This enabled me to bypass the need for a landscape designer, which would have added a couple thousand dollars to the overall cost of the project. I was especially appreciative of his patience, when I had to defer the project a few months. Through it all, Irvin went above and beyond a reasonable level of customer service, responding to a ton of my questions and providing professional guidance as I began to develop (and repeatedly revise) my vision of the front yard. On the construction end, Irvin's construction crew was top notch. They converted my sad, old lawn into a beautifully landscaped water-efficient yard in a mere three days, and the quality of work was impeccable. Needless to say, I've received compliments on the new yard. The overall cost was reasonable and competitive. The icing on the cake was a rebate that I received from the Santa Clara Valley Water District. D&I's work was so impressive that Water District staff waived a formal site visit after reviewing several photos of the converted lawn. One more thing, and this is important: D&I Landscape is a formally licensed landscaping contractor recognized by the state of California. Many landscapers who claim to be "contractors" aren't. Buyer beware. Keep this in mind as you plan your landscaping project.
