After seeing the excellent reviews for Garage Kings, I was excited to have them complete my garage. Mid August, I contacted them to come to my home for an estimate. The appointment was set for August 20th between 8:40am-9am. That morning at 8:20 I received a text that said they "didn't think they were going to make the appointment due to the flu". I responded "ok". Today is September 5 and I still haven't heard back from them to reschedule. I don't know how a business can survive when customers are treated so indifferently! read more

I had done a bunch of research prior and chose Garage Kings initially for 2 big reasons : they diamond grind the floor to prep (ensures a proper bonding surface) and the price was much better than others in the area. The estimate visit was a testament to the level of detail these guys go to. Robert came by to measure moisture levels across various spots on the floor and educated us how that affects the product. He provided us a sample of colors and we were lucky to have him build a sample for a new color. The biggest challenge in our garage was a wood concrete expansion joint. I knew this isn't a great bonding surface and it would affect the 21 year warranty they provide. Robert and I bounced some ideas around and he went the extra distance to find new products to use which he could stand by and produce wonderful results. I appreciated his comittment to making my garage look spectacular. On day of the job, they arrived promptly and finished the job in approx 5 hours. Big difference I noticed with the stuff at the big box store: they put more product on. Base coat and flakes. I don't think I could have done a better job if I did it myself. EVER ! We had a slight curing issue that Robert quickly resolved by coming back and apply an additional clear coat. Cured perfectly AND makes the floor extra solid. After a plumber assisted in flooding our garage with grey water I was involuntarily pushed into the project manager role. I had vinyl flooring down and the grey water went underneath that and necessitated it all to be ripped out. I decided to go with putting an epoxy type material down for the ease of cleaning and so I would not have to go through this again in 8 years when a plumber breaks a pipe again.
