What a cool concept it is and it actually produces art that you want to hang up and display. You choose your colors, and layer them in such a way in a cup, and then pour them out onto the canvas and "swirl" the canvas around to produce the art. The staff was so helpful and did their best to help you create the masterpiece you wanted! You can do tumblers, and different size canvases and they even have special classes where you can make some of the more complicated specific art such as a beach with rocks. I want to go back and make one of those. Definitely a cool activity to do with your kids, or even as an adult! Go check them out!

Our instructor was Randy and he definitely put on a show…read more We arrived about 10 minutes before our scheduled slot and after checking us in, he took us on a tour of the building and made us feel very welcome. My mom, godmother and I were the only attendees since the other group never showed up. Although I had been to other "sip and paint" functions, this experience was unique because Randy was actually the author of the painting we completed and it was a tribute to Prince. He was very patient and kind even when we were super critical of our painting. He even performed "Purple Rain" for us which was a special treat. I'd love to go back.

She encouraged us all & reminded us that no 2 are going to look alike nor are they going to look like the example but they will still be a work of art. She was marvelous & I'm sorry I don't remember her name but her gorgeous face & her kind words are forever burned into my mind & heart. She never rushed us nor did I ever feel like we were on a time limit. We did go to the evening class, I don't know if that had anything to do with it but it was awesome. The whole class finished before the 2 hrs. We also loved that we could bring our own drinks & snacks. Javier had his Coronas which he loved! His daughter had her dr.peppers & I had my sweet tea. For anyone who still hasn't tried this get out from under your rock & do it! If you don't want to get out because of the virus, they make to go packages to do at home she let us know & they do private parties. This is so relaxing & as you can see from our pics no 2 are alike nor perfect but we had so much fun as a family. Even my boyfriend & his was the best! Now my brother wants to try it. During my search one of the first things I stumbled across was Elm Street Studio. I loved the reviews and pictures on yelp so my co-host reached to get all the info on everything. The process was pretty easy and it was priced reasonably. Even more importantly the venue was adorable and the perfect size. We were planning to host a group of 25 ladies. The venue has a nice front room, a center area which is good for a couple of tables, a back room with fire place that is pretty big and a nice size kitchen. We used all the indoor space for our event. There is also a lovely backyard and patio area that can be used for different things as well. Everyone was super nice and accommodating to us. We got so many compliments on what a cool venue this place was for a baby shower. I would absolutely recommend this spot if you are looking to host an event. I think it would be really cool to have a small wedding and reception here.

I really love the simplicity and bit of history that the school house offers Bedford!…read more The OBSH sits nestled behind a large open field off of old Bedford Road. The field is home to Twilight Thursdays, Bedford's own little spring concert series, and to the huge Bedford Christmas tree. More informally its my girls and I's secret spot for exploring and Ice Cream on Friday afternoon's when my 3 year old gets out of preschool. I love that they can run, collect rocks and lady bugs, climb large rocks, and dig in the dirt road (Don't worry! We always put it back!) and be safely away from traffic off of the road. I can sit on a picnic blanket and watch and not have to worry about my kids falling off of a some large plastic playground, or getting run over by a car! My only suggestion, especially for twilight Thursdays, is that those fire ant hills are crazy! I got bit several times last season.. yikes! The school house itself is classic, and is like a last piece of country history in a city that becomes more suburban and built up every day. You can see pictures from the its glory days, look at a traditional one room school house set up, attend a murder mystery dinner, or rent one of their different rooms for meetings, or the entire building for a wedding. The last time my girls and I were there, my little one had to go to the bathroom and there was a wedding set-up going on, so we were able to sneak in (with permission!) and use the restroom. The set up was adorable...a PERFECT wedding venue. If I had known this place was available back in the day when I was married, I totally would have chosen it! The wooden stair case and old beams and windows make for great photo ops! I have also attended a 50th birthday celebration here a few years back! There was plenty room for a buffet, a bar, tons of guests and a live band.. totally fun! Last year we went to the school house to take some christmas pictures, and ending up choosing one with the school house in the background for our card! We also took some family photos here last weekend... out back they have bluebonnets, and some great stairs for backdrops. ....I am kind of sad I am writing this review, because now everyone will know my secret hiding spot in HEB for pictures, parties and play! :)
