We had a private event here and it was so much fun. At board and brush you pick out the project beforehand so that way the materials are prepared for you. I opted for the clock and didn't realize how big and heavy it would be. However I love how it turned out. There were a couple of ladies there to assist us, including Amanda and Susan who were lovely and attentive. I was nervous about how my project would turn out since it was my first time doing something like this. The ladies made it so easy by walking us through each step. I love that you can bring your own food and drinks. I had a blast, love how clock turned out and plan to return. The pricing for the projects are reasonable which I appreciate. read more

My friend and I did the front porch makeover and had a great experience! We chose our design for the porch sign and front door mat ahead of time and when we arrived to the studio the stencils were laid out and ready to go. We were guided by Kimberley and had a table helper as well. They taught us how to sand and distress the wood, pick out stain colors and paint colors, then we got to work. They instructed us along the way so we knew exactly what to do at each step. This was a 4 hour workshop and BYOB which is really fun. I'm thrilled with my new projects and can't believe I made them myself! It was a really fun night and I can't wait to come back and make a new project! read more

Coworkers and I attended a private corporate event here. What an excellent concept and great bonding experience! The space itself looks like a page out of Joanna Gaines's book. Everything is VERY Fixer Upper-esque. If you aren't really in to the vintage or farmhouse look, the aesthetic might not appeal as much to you. You choose a sign to make. The employees prepare wood to the proper proportions and stencil overlays to the customer's choice. You can pay extra to customize or have a double-sided sign, etc. They offer a wide selection of stains, white-washes, pickling, etc as the background for your sign. No polyurethane or fillers are available. They provide tools to distress, sandpaper, brushes, protective masks, exacto knives, stain cloths, and paint. They have an entire wall of decorative paints and glitter to choose from. If your eyes are sensitive to wood dust, I would recommend bringing goggles or glasses. The instructors were very helpful and knowledgeable and do a great job of balancing teaching you and coming to your rescue to fix any booboos. Great activity for kiddos, adults, GNOs, and date nights. read more

The customer service here is horrible and the available times are limited. It took me 3 months to get a project done because if the limited time slots. When I did go, there were two women helping them group. The younger woman was very rude and even humiliated the older woman because she wasn't sure what to do and was trying. She told her to move aside and give her space to fix her problem. I will never recommend this place. read more

A friend and I attended the Porch Makeover event last night and it was so much fun. I'm a big fan of this concept as it's a fun way to do a fun activity with friends, family or coworkers and you get to have a great handmade piece to take home as well. Last night I got to make a fall sign (my choice) and then created a Christmas themed mat. It was fun to see all of the different choices people had and then what they did with them. You have to choose your design when you register and provide personalization details so they can create stencils for you before you arrive. But then there are so many options from there - different color stains, so many different colors of paints, different techniques to distress or not, etc. Some people had picked the same design but they all ended up having a different look in the end and all looked great. I would definitely do this again and look forward to visiting soon. Kimberley was also great! read more

My coworkers planned a Saturday morning to get together and do this activity. I was really excited, and thought this was going to be a great experience. When I first arrived, I noticed the text was incorrect for the stencil and immediately pointed it out to staff. We went through the distressing, sanding, and staining, and when it was time to paint, my stencil was missing. It turned out that I had made the mistake of ordering the wrong stencil on the website (I ordered the US Map instead of the World Map). The title and picture were aligned on the website and was confusing, but I should have done my due diligence and read it completely instead of scanning the title. Employees told me that I would have to pay $10 cash to get the stencil I had intended. I was ok with that at this point because I realize that the mistake was mine, however, it took over an hour to get the correct stencil. If I had known it was going to take that long, I would have just asked for a refund instead of paying extra money to wait around. When the lettering came back, it was miss-cut, with part of a t, h, and i missing from the stencil. I finished an hour later than my coworkers, and had to have an employee come and free-hand some of the lettering. I understand that the original fault was my own, but it shouldn't have taken over an hour to fix the mistake, only to have mistakes in the stencil cuts at the end. I would like to do this again in the future, but I would hope that the kinks would be worked out if situations like this arise. read more

This place is amazing! The staff knows their stuff and will answer all your questions and help you create a product that looks great. I went for my second time last night and Kimberly was our table assistant and she was so patient and helpful. We also need to throw a shoutout to Andrea and Ricka because we had some family emergencies that required juggling our prior reservations to new times and they were angels about our specific situation. I also custom designed a board with a Bible verse from my wedding and they were great with helping me through email with the font and layout. I will definitely be back as soon as I figure out where I can hang another board! read more
