My favorite brands were still in business and their products were way advanced. The store manager gave me great tips on what I should buy so I can stay in the game. This place has been repainted since last time I have been here. Came on a weekend with my brother to just look around. Never did I expect that I would be buying three pairs of shoes from this store. Last year I ended up buying shoes from this place too. Basically they have a lot of hype name branded clothes that are somewhat over priced for me but their sales are really good. They always have sales on shoes. They have a bunch of shoes stacked up specifically for marked down/sales which is nice to look through. Apparently I was just looking through their shoes to see if they were decent, and never did I expect them having sales on the type of shoes that I like. I was a little annoyed that there were people just sitting on their chairs and having their stuff occupy the whole seating area having not enough room for me to sit down and try on the shoes. I complained to an associate and he was kind enough to bring me out a chair for me to sit on. Anyways, this is one of the stores that I love going to in this mall. read more

Received a pair of vans as a gift that where 1/2 a size too small, took them back and the manager would not exchange because I didn't have the receipt even though the box clearly had a Boarders price tag on them. They were purchased at a different Boarders location. I asked him if they were not a chain store and he said yes but still wouldn't exchange them. No real reason given. I would not shop here anyways when the vans store is in the same mall. Their selection sucks and they are overpriced. read more

Horrible customer service. I guess management does not care as I see most reviews say the same thing! Over the weekend my fiancée and I went in looking for a gift. She then pointed out that they had Nixon Metallica watches. I then proceeded to ask the young man if he could please let me see the watch, he replies with "just to let you know those run about $240. I was thinking to myself I did not ask you the price I asked if I could please see the watch. Long story short. I loved the watch and would have gotten it, but because of his rude comment and him assuming I could not afford the $240 watch. I'm really not one to complain about the mask mandate, however these employees will harass you if it slips below your nose while talking. I was looking around throughout the store & wasn't offered help nor even greeted until I began talking on the phone when my face mask slipped below my nose. I was asked from across the store to put my mask above my nose, I apologized & put it up! However as I'm still talking on the phone & looking around it happens again, my mistake I get it- but the employee was extremely rude about it. He then told me "I already told you, it needs to be over your nose." Came in looking for board shorts/swim trunks after being everywhere and finding nothing. I didn't see much on the floor in way of what I was looking for, but a gentleman by the name of victor came out and told me he had boxes in the back and he would pull them out to help me try and find something I'd like. Let me tell you, this guy worked for me, he pulled out like 6-7 boxes and started tearing through them. Low and behold thanks to him, I found what I needed. Pretentious workers. These employees act like they're more important than the customers. No smiles, flat affects, and know-it-all's. I got the same treatment from the montebello town center branch. These employees have their friends who don't work there hanging out. But most importantly these guys are highly judgmental, rude, and snobbish; wish a high sense of self importance for no reason and to top it all off these employees dress like bums. read more

They discussed with me that they may ruin the product because they don't have the right attachment, but we're still will to take it off for me, but they exchanged the product for me so that they wouldn't ruin the product. Boarders is a cool new addition to the Westfield West Covina Mall. It's located on Level 2 near JCPenney and next to H & M. They sell clothing, shoes, and accessories for men and women. I like that both me AND my bf can shop instead of one of us following the other around with a blank, bored stare. Some of the clothing is a little pricey but others are reasonably priced. I bought a really cute shirt here on sale for $9.99! =) The only thing I didn't like is the ONE dressing room... and I wouldn't really call it a "room." It's more of a dressing "space" with a curtain for a door. I mean, anyone can pretty much walk in there if they don't notice the paper sign hanging that says it's occupied. What kind of clothing store in a mall has one dressing room anyway? That's a little strange to me. However, the cashier was really nice and just put the cherry on top of my "I just bought a shirt on sale" giddyness. I'll definitely be back soon. =) read more

It's a boarders store , everything you want is there except the environment compared to Montebello and Arcadia. It honestly falls down to the employees at this location and their overall attitude and work ethic. I'd rather prefer driving the distance to Arcadia and Montebello since the employees at those locations are engaging with the guest and seem to at least do their job and engage with any questions or concerns . The one star just falls down to the overall shop environment or lack , of this location. read more

This place used to be American Eagle. Upstairs next to H&M (mens). I like their wide variety of apparel and shoes. I bought a shirt and apparently you can ask for 10% off if you find a defective item. I found a small hole by where the brand logo was attached. I'm not a pissy shopper so I didn't ask for a 10% discount. There are no returns, but you can get store credit within 30 days. It's all good. The atmosphere is quite different from the Santa Anita store. Again it used to be American Eagle so it still looks like it. I really like this place but the fitting rooms...they need work. I almost walked in a changing woman. So embarrassing. read more

Really bad service overall, sales rep gave wrong information on pricing, so as soon as I got to the register, my purchase was +$30 than anticipated. Then using a credit card with my picture ID on it, they would not let me use it for the purchase. My actually picture is on the card.. It's just a large hassle especially not carrying my whole wallet with me around the mall. Both employees didn't seem interested in the customers satisfaction. read more
