Always come to this place everytime I want to get a new cap. They have lots of varieties of cap brand, mostly New Era and 47 Brand, so it's a good place to get a cap from every MLB, NBA, NFL, etc teams, or you can even customize your own. Unfortunately, there are limited choices of cap compared to the other Lids store since it's always running out of some special items. They spelled a word wrong and Vanessa the "manager" won't even take accountability or help the situation at all. All she had to say was that I have to purchase a hat all over again. Do not go here to purchase your hats. Horrible customer service, went on Dec. 30th to try and return/exchange a hat my daughter bought for my son which was too tight. The assistant manager male, Hispanic working at 6:30 PM was completely rude and confrontational. Told us we could not even exchange the hat for a bigger size/ tried to rationalize that we didn't want the money just wanted a hat that would fit. (Tags and stickers still on it), no gift receipt. He continued to raise his voice and basically said to leave the store after we wanted to talk to his manager. The hat originally purchased at Montclair Lids but they didn't have the size we needed, so they recommended we try other Lids in the area. Hesitantly told us manager was going to return Thursday Jan 4th. Other customers overheard him yelling, left the store as well. We will never shop at another Lids store again and will make sure all our friends and family go give their business to other vendors who care about their customers. read more

Went in earlier today and had was helped by a young gentleman named Dominic. He was very well mannered and helped my son and I. Great with children and all the customers around us. I promised my son only one hat because his baseball team had just won their championships. Dominic really worked the hats on me and I ended up letting my son pick out 3 hats. Also one for myself. stopped by here and found some white hats that i needed for work. The hats were really dirty because they were there for a while. Kyle was looking in the system to see if he could order me some new clean ones. after no avail, he gave me a discount. I showed him a picture of the embroidery i wanted and they came out perfect. However he did forget to put another hat that I purchase and since i was already on the freeway i was not able to go back and make it on time before closing. not a big deal since I have the receipt. So I saw that they had a BOGO 50% off on 1/10/13 so I placed an order online for 2 items that qualified for the promo. Shipping was on the high side, so I opted for the "ship to store" option which was free, but took a couple days longer (which makes zero sense to me, you'd think the store would be getting weekly inventory). So today 1/23/13 I still havent heard anything via email or telephone. My understanding is that the store will call me once the item have arrive. So I call the 800 customer service to see what the status of my order was. Apparently the items arrived at the store on 1/21/13 - two days ago. Checked my caller ID - no calls from Lids. Checked my spam folder - no emails from Lids. So I print my receipt and drive to the store. Theres only 1 employee working (5pm) and theres 3 customers there before me. Wait......wait.....wait. "Hi Im here to pick up my items." "Oh yeah I saw that order the other day". I asked her why I didn't get notified - and she said the stores phone doesn't work, and hasn't worked in months. And the employees are told to use their cell phones to call the customers. Just a horrible experience all around. Not blaming the employee for being understaffed or the phone not working. Or not wanting to use a personal cell for business calls. Thats just management being cheap and trying to save a buck. read more

Terrible customer service. Was just at the store with my parents trying to exchange a shirt for a smaller size and they handed the right size to my dad he tried it on and everything and at the end they're like we can't exchange it because the shirt smells like perfume and another girl said it smelled like armpits. My dad didn't even tried that shirt on he had tried another one on an L and since his was an XL he assured it wouldn't fit but they were saying it smelled. I smelled it myself and it had no smell at all. They kept smirking and laughing as If it was a joke. The manager Matia M called her other manager on the phone and said we could let out our frustration on customer service and there was nothing they could do. They kept saying they didn't want to take a loss but the shirt was already paid for we only wanted to exchange not return and it was one out of 4 shirts we had bought. So, because i am a very good customer to Lids, i received some coupons in the mail. They were 5 off a 25 purchase and 10 off a 40, sweet going to Lids. They happened to have a sale of $10 hats so i thought this is the best opportunity to use my coupon. I understand it says some restrictions apply but considering the sign they had up just said "10" and nothing else, no asterisk or anything i figured im good. So i picked up 5 hats, didnt even think i was gonna get that many and was ready to go. The guy says the coupon is rejected, not cool. AND BECAUSE IM STILL VERY LOYAL TO LIDS, I STILL GOT TWO!!! Good store if you love buying hats. They have a lids club card you can buy that gets you a discount on your upcoming purchases. Enjoy this store because they have Broncos hats when most other stores do not. Also the staff is nice and always willing to help. If you are looking to buy a hat check out the store. Went in here this last weekend to pick up two hats that we had shipped there from our online order. Free shipping to the store vs having to pay for shipping to get it delivered to our home... shoot! I'll take the free shipping. We had our ordered process fast and we did receive the phone call from one of the representatives at Lids, at this particular store to inform us that our hats were there. First impression was a bit off but once the guy helped us out, he was pretty cool and really easy going. Really chill and helpful and even said it was "cute" that we had matching hats. He wasn't so sure what signatures were needed but I am glad he asked his coworker to help him out so that way it was done correctly and we wouldn't have to come back later to sign again. Too bad I do not purchase hats very often, this place seems like a really easy going place to shop at. read more

The only reason it was 12 days is because I called to see if i could pick it up. If not, who knows how many more day i would have waited.
