Boardwalk is fine, but out of all the choices at the Wharf this would be on the bottom of my list unless you have kids. It's nice and fun, but the food is pretty overpriced and there's nothing really special. I stopped by with friends on a Thursday night. You seat yourself, and most of the tables are long communal tables. The decor isn't too exciting although they do have a nice long bar in the front with a great view. The staff were friendly but definitely running around to all the tables. The hot dog was $12 with chips, and it was an average hot dog. I got the Cubano sandwich which was good but not great and was $18. Again, the food was fine but not worth the money. There are a few arcade games, including some pinball machines and crane games. Upstairs they have a basketball game and skeeball. There are no tickets so I would think it would be a nice date night activity. I would guess kids would want tickets or prizes. Boardwalk does an average job with a few different things. I would go instead to a nice restaurant or bar or a great arcade.

I had a great experience here! I came on a whim while randomly walking by, and I saw that they had hotdogs so I had to stop. I got the loaded dog and some nachos with chicken. I love the loaded dog! The hotdog itself was really good quality, and the toppings were generous without being overpowering. The bun stayed intact throughout the whole dog experience, which is rare I feel when you have a lot of toppings like that. The nachos were great but definitely something you need to eat on site as they do not transfer afterwards. I also got a nonalcoholic strawberry slushy and it was quite tasty. I loaded $10 onto a card and got to play a good number of games, including skew ball, basketball tic-tac-toe, and pinball. They have a solid happy hour menu and even though they were shortstaffed, my service was friendly and fast.

This place is absolutely fun! The arcade is very fun and energetic. The workers were so nice to us and very funny. The food was very solid . The restaurant looks very nice and 100% good for kids. The hot dog was great and the jumbo pretzel was also great.

This might be a cool place to come at night (it's an arcade!) but left something to be desired during the day. At least the unlimited buffet did. They had an array of options comparable to a hotel. Nothing special, or that could justify the $31.95 price tag. I saw other diners with trays that looked delicious, so maybe that's where the effort goes? The service wasn't terrible but it wasn't the best. They looked annoyed most of the time. The area itself is cute, perfect for a quick stop (did you SEE the bar?!) and it's the Wharf. We love the Wharf :D I can see this being the perfect spot to come at night for OC vibes, especially with all the restaurants and entertainment in the area. Would I come back? Yes, at night.

Came with a group of 7 adults and 4 kids. We sat outside and fit at one of the outdoor tables. Our server greeted us and took our order pretty quickly, then after we got our food we didn't really see him again. I had a frozen drink without much of a flavor and a club sandwich, which was very good. Inside there are games both on the main level and upstairs-some are claw machines, others are video games and they even have ski ball. Instead of using quarters, you have to preload money onto a card and swipe it for the games-which all cost various points. I think I still have a random number of points leftover on the card. This place is good for outdoor seating and they have a variety of drinks and food.

Fun place for the kids to play arcade games. Picnic table and bar seating downstairs. Great for big groups. Easily got it. Cornhole to play for free. Food came out fast. Service was good.

Went here on the day of the cherry blossom festival. They have three different bars so the service was quick. I ordered a hot dog at the bar. It only took about 15 minutes on a day where the wharf was packed so I appreciated that. The hot dog was good. It also came with chips. The chips were some kind of spicy garlic chip. It was honestly not good. They were spicy but somehow still lacked flavor. Would've preferred just a classic potato chip instead.

When every place has a long wait, you come here. We had no wait and sat outside, which was really nice. It was still busy here, and given how busy it was, found the service friendly and attentive enough, which was a nice surprise. Drinks were strong, which we both appreciated. The food menu is very small and likely just heated up quickly, but not awful if you need a bite to eat. We had the pretzel and pizza and both were edible. I'd definitely come back for drinks or if I wanted to play some arcade games.

Our server JR was amazing and had GREAT energy and made sure everything was perfect for us!

Stopped by on a beautiful Saturday to have a drink at the outside bar and had a good time. The bartender was very friendly and quick. The drink I got was good (I believe it's a strawberry margarita and a pina colada mixed together), and my friend had a beer that he enjoyed. The reason I'm giving this four stars honestly is for the price of the drinks.

The Boardwalk was ok. Loved that it's off the water, but it's typical bar food. We had the nachos with chicken and it was really good! Service was good too. During our visit it wasn't crowded. For it to be an arcade, there wasn't a lot of games and they were expensive to pay. But that's to be expected. Overall it's ok for a cute date night.

Such a fun spot to grab some tacos and quesadillas! Lots of sitting outside. We had a lovely waitress who was super attentive, informative and kept refilling our waters multiple times without having to ask. She was on top of it! Even let my friend charge her phone. Food came out rather quickly! I enjoyed my mahi mahi tacos , salad was fresh too! My friend enjoyed her chicken quesadillas-- just wish she had a side of salsa and sour cream to dip them in. :) TVs were on but no volume which was fine and for being outside right by the "board walk" it wasn't that noisy. I would come back to try more -- maybe come for HH!

It's very nice of the young guy to allow me to bring my own food. It's not good. Please don't do like I did. The story was I bought steamed shrimps from the fresh market. Was intrigued by the happy sign, I went to the bar and asked if it was ok to have my own food with your cocktail. The young man said ok. The refreshing mojito was really matching with the steamed shrimp. And so relaxing to watch people walking by.

Food was bland and way overpriced! And to add 5% surcharge is absolutely ridiculous! First and last for sure!

The space is incredible, it's two stories, and it's not a ton of space, but they make it work! The drink menu is creative -- themed after pop culture movies, shows, and video games -- and GameOn really plays into the bit of this being a nerdy bar. They even have anime and game shows playing, so don't come in here expecting to watch the NBA Finals or some shit like that. The arcade selection is decent! NFL Blitz, Tetris, Area 51, Street Fighter II, and Mortal Kombat 2 and MK3 machines were highlights. The service was incredible I mostly stayed on the second floor and the bartenders manning the fort on May 2nd were just the nicest people! So about that shot o'clock wheel, it's one of the coolest bits at all GameOn locations. You pay $6 and the bartender will spin the wheel -- whatever it lands on you take a shot of it. The food is also great (recommend the hot dog or hamburger). Also the slushies, adult Capri suns, and the "they killed Kenny" cocktail were incredible as well. Def check this place out.

Upon entry I noticed there was a bar upstairs and then one on the main floor. Both bars sit maybe about 12 people with small seating on the sides. Both bars have multiple TV's. What I loved is that, - they have $5 shot specials on Saturdays - drinks were pretty strong - the arcade games looked like a lot of fun. I have no idea how much it cost because I didn't go to that side What I didn't love as much, -the upstairs bar didn't open till 10 pm forcing us to go downstairs to get drinks/food which was already packed since there was only 1 bartender. Later as the night went on there were about 4 bartenders. I wish they were a bit more prepared for the increased customers that would come in since the World Cup and nba finals were going on. But also maybe they didn't know - the team wasn't necessarily the friendliest - I was annoyed that the manager didn't want to change one of TV's from soccer to the basketball game despite everyone in the area crowding around the 1 tv that has basketball. Then like the last quarter of the game the TV that had soccer on was just turned off I would come back again to enjoy the arcade games.

The arcade games are pretty expensive and they blew through the $15 in less than 15 mins. The boys finished all 18 holes in less than 30 mins all by themselves. The laser tag was fun too. The vests were pretty big and heavy and it looked so big our littlest guy but he held his own. It seemed crowded when the summer camp group of kids were there, but when they all left, it wasn't crowded at all. Coming from LA, where anything fun is crowded, it was nice to not have to wait in long lines. We wanted to try the laser maze, but it wasn't working. The lack of a fun barcade feels a bit depressing. That's why I love that GameOn is in DC on U St and especially that Continues Arcade in Alexandria exists!!! Continues Arcade is fairly new and it's been a wonderful edition to the suite of bars in the DC Metro region. The owners are active on the business' TikTok page and I enjoy it a lot. You can tell they really enjoy video games. As a former full time reporter that worked at The Verge and IGN it's always refreshing to see business owners so engaged and passionate about gaming and turn that passion into an arcade to celebrate the games of yesteryear. Especially given the ongoing memory shortage that's causing gaming consoles to spike up to unprecedented numbers and no signs of the price of hardware going down. Nevertheless, Continues Arcade offers community gaming fun. With an expansive menu of food and drinks, solid hours, parking nearby, and an 8-10 min walk from the Braddock Rd metro station, this location is ideal for multiple options of travel whether you're driving, rideshare or public transit. I completely understand why they have it--it helps prevent people from camping at tables--but it does create a bit of "clock anxiety." If you're planning to eat and play games, it's probably easier to focus on one and then the other rather than trying to do both at the same time.
