We rented from Rideaway to bike the Cape Cod Canal. Had no idea what we were getting into, and mostly made the reservation to mix it up and get in some exercise, but it ended being a highlight of our vacation. The canal bike path is beautiful - peaceful, pristine, and not crowded. It was challenging for us to go the full 13 miles up and back (we aren't experienced cyclists so it took about 2 hours), but we only had to stop a couple times. The staff at Rideaway were very helpful at getting us onto the right size bikes and explaining the route - highly recommend! read more

Best Kayaking we've ever done. Kayaks are delivered right to the Scorton Creek access point. You just park your car and away you go. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Shallow enough to get out and stand in most places. Watch for sandbars. Ocean view at the end is amazing and worth stopping and walking to see. Winds and waves can be a bit of a workout. read more

I had a great time kayaking in the salt marshes in Sandwich. Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. Friendly and helpful staff.

We rented two kayaks for five days. They were delivered early and were in great shape. The vests were also in great shape. I called on the last day and asked if I could extend the reservation for another day because we were having so much fun with the kayaks and it wasn't any problem. The rental fee is a little higher than at some other places, but with the delivery service and the quality of the equipment, I think it's worth it. I would definitely recommend them! read more

This was a great activity,especially with COVID times. Everyone was in their own kayake on open water (in the marshlands) with a beautiful breeze. Our guide, Mike , was great. We really enjoyed this little adventure. Most of the time you either go to the beach or mini golf on the cape. This was a great, family activity that got us out, showed us parts of the Cape we had never seen and we had a wonderful time. read more

I went on an evening kayaking tour of Scorton Creek and it was so beautiful and relaxing. Wayne was an excellent tour guide, so helpful and friendly. He even gave me some great paddling tips and took the time to point out birds and wildlife. We all watched two osprey (ospreys?) on the nest and out fishing. There were herons and swallows zooming around low catching bugs and a straight billed dowitcher in the grass (for all you bird nerds). The sunset was an added bonus and I went home feeling like I'd discovered a new, beautiful part of my hometown. This place is fabulous! We found them on yelp & loved the $40/3 hour deal they had, so decided to try. While they are located off of 6A, they aren't directly off the bay. They are less than a mile from a wildlife & game area that opens onto a creek, so they delivered our kayaks to us there (which also happens to be an amazing spot for fishing). After we were done, we just called them up, they picked up the boats, & that was that. Really friendly staff, they supply all if the equipment; the kayaks are ones that aren't as long, but, you know, whatever. All in all it was a pretty sweet experience (plus we got a 10% off card should we decide to come again). Would def recommend!! read more

We loved our experience at Rideaway Kayak. It was mine and my boyfriends first time kayaking and Mike was extremely helpful, he explained everything to us without making us feel stupid or inexperienced. The prices were very reasonable coming up to $85 to rent 2 kayaks for 3 hours. We went around the Bay that was located about 1/2 a mile from the kayak location. Easy drop off, and then we just left the kayaks and gave a call for pick up when we were done. Fabulous experience! read more

My family and I had an amazing time out on the water with Mike. He's a local guy who has spent his whole life on these waters, and his laid back personality kept things light and our schedule flexible. He was patient with the kids and he told funny stories to them about things he had seen in his past, which they all cracked up at. A true professional, Mike made us feel safe the whole time we were with him, and he has a great way of adapting his teaching methods for people of all ages and experience levels (group age range 9 to 69)... and we are now expert SUP'ers!
