After sending Jay the Home Owner's Inspection report with the roofing issues, Jay reviewed what the document said I needed, offered a few options and very reasonable pricing. He worked with me to coordinate with the Tenant on when he could visit. Jay or his office always responded within 24 hours to my calls and texts. Another reason I would recommend Jay is for his true professionalism. After someone was injured on the job, he actually called me to apologize they couldn't do the work and offered to reschedule at any time that was convenient for me. How great is that!? It wasn't Jay's fault his employee was injured. Jay took it upon himself to make sure the job got done as fast as possible despite dealing with the accident. Accidents do happen, and when they do, all you can hope for is a reasonable professional to work with you and that's exactly what Jay did. They had to remove the existing slate tiles, replace most of the plywood around a curved dormer, and also resurface the ledge gutter. Jay prepared me in advance for any extra work that might be needed and took many pictures when the slate tiles were off so i could see what was needed. The new work looked terrific when completed as a result of certain finishes that Jay suggested at no extra cost. His crew was very respectful of my tenants and maintained the grounds of the property throughout the job. I believe the pricing for the work gave me an excellent value and that Jay is a fair-minded and competent roofer. I used Jay for two other jobs before this one and I continue to be very satisfied. .

Friday came and a garbage truck was sleft in the middle of our drive. Called back and wanted payment. Rob did not believe that the roof was not done. His employee did not bring long enough ladders so he went and did another job, leaving the truck. They came and got the truck after our calls, more than 1. That was when the employee told me that he did not bring tall enough ladders. The shingles they ordered and delivered were mint mist, GREEN our roof is tan. Employees thought it was funny that we were upset with the shingles being put off for almost FIVE weeks. They explained that they were too busy, We paid for the shoddy siding job that they did to appease us this week. We canceled the contract, They did NOT answer calls usually. Made promises they did not keep. explained to the secretary that part of good customer service is good communications. We are not happy and would not recommend these smooth talking guys.

Last March 2024, during an especially windy day a country club's tree came down and whacked the rear of my house, starting from the highest roof, ripping down wires and landed on my detached garage where it sat until PECO could make it safe. I initially gave the go ahead for my insurer, who I'll call SF, to send out a contractor to assess the damage. Well someone came out, slapped a tarp on the hole in the garage, but seemed dismissive of the house damage. And then I heard nothing for the longest time. So, getting concerned I called Impriano to get their opinion, as is my right, since I had a good experience with them 13 years ago with a new roof. Jack Impriano came out and did a very thorough inspection finding a lot more damage than SF's contractor did, including a split rafter in the garage roof. He looked at the plan for repair that the adjuster had drawn up finding it completely inadequate, so he drew up his own. He basically worked directly with the adjuster, all while updating me about what was going on. There were many problems such as the SF contractor sending the wrong information to SF that led them to believe the work was complete when nothing was repaired. The contractors invoice included pictures that wasn't even my property. Jack Impriano handled everything, everything is repaired/replaced, their crew came out in the most inhospitable weather and did an excellent job. You could tell how well done my 13 year old roof was when shingles were removed. It's amazing how nice our new roof and siding looks. It's peace of mind working with a company that takes pride in their work, and there's good reason they've been around for so long. I didn't realize they also handle windows which is on my to do list. I don't think I would trust anyone else. Thank you Jack and Ed and the rest of your hard working crew, including the office, you guys were great, can't thank you enough.

Approximately 13 months ago, we had windows and new gutters installed by this company. Shortly after the installation, we noticed that the gutter along the side of our building, next to the kitchen, was pooling water because of the way it had been installed over a small portion of our roof. As a result, the gutter began leaking into our kitchen and caused damage to our kitchen ceiling. We contacted the company and made three separate appointments to have the issue addressed. Unfortunately, all three appointments were canceled by the technician. Despite repeatedly trying to get this problem resolved, we are now more than a year later and still dealing with damage caused by their installation. Today, we made a fourth attempt to have the damage repaired. My wife initially called and was told by the corporate office that the next available appointment was not until October 7. I was extremely disappointed with that response, so I called back and spoke with a very nice young woman who again confirmed that October 7 was the earliest available appointment. I explained that this was completely unacceptable. By October, it will have been approximately 15 months since the original work was completed. We should not have to wait 15 months to have damage repaired that resulted from the company's own installation. She then offered an alternative: we could find three contractors to provide estimates, submit those estimates to the company, and they would reimburse us. While I appreciated her attempt to find a solution, I explained that this was also unacceptable. We are the customers. We paid this company to perform the work correctly, and now, more than a year later, we are being asked to take time away from our work schedules to locate three contractors, arrange appointments, obtain estimates, and submit additional paperwork--all because of a problem caused by their installation. I also explained that when we initially reported the problem, the company should have taken care of it. Instead, they scheduled three separate appointments and canceled each one. Now we are being told that they are not an emergency service and therefore cannot send someone out immediately. While I understand that they may not consider this an emergency, the situation should never have reached this point in the first place. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and unfair. We hired this company, paid for the work, and trusted them to do the job correctly. Instead, their installation resulted in damage to our home, our repeated attempts to have the problem corrected were unsuccessful, and we are now the ones being asked to jump through hoops to resolve an issue that we did not cause. At this point, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering using this company read the reviews carefully before signing a contract. Unfortunately, our experience has been consistent with many of the concerns we are now seeing in those reviews. We should not have to spend more than a year fighting to get a company to address damage resulting from work they performed on our home.

I called a few different folks for estimates and received nothing but a list of problems with the repair. First I was told that my PECO lines were too close to the hole and I had to have PECO shut off the electric or move the wire mounts entirely. Then I was given a quote for $700-$1000.00, which is ABSURD considering if I was brave enough I could climb my ass on the roof and fix it my damn self with a little brut force and a screw. Thankfully McCabe and Son were able to come out like a day after I called them to give me a quote. They said it was $225 for them to fix it. When I asked about the proximity of the PECO lines the dude turns to me (I think it was Jim?) and goes, "Well, I don't PLAN to touch it!" I really can't say enough good things about McCabe. They are just straight shooters, no bullsh!t. They get the job done for a reasonable price and don't drag things out for weeks or try to extort you for hundreds of dollars. The fellow fixed everything up nice and pretty for me today and now I don't have to worry about unwanted intruders coming into my house. Scott McCabe is the man!…read more One of the solar powered skylights he sold us 3 years ago had stopped working. As soon as we told him this, he was all over it. He actually spent several hours trying to figure out how to get it working, but the thing just wouldn't work. He didn't give up though! Scott got the manufacturer involved. Today, a technician from that company replaced the motor unit in the dead skylight and replaced the motor unit in our other skylight even though it was working fine. And it was all covered by the warranty. Wow! We are so impressed with Scott's service mentality. This guy is gold. I mean, he did all the legwork to get this repair done. We did nothing. He took ownership of the problem 100%. He also just did our neighbor's roof and our neighbor was also pleased with his McCabe Roofing experience. Scott is terrific to do business with. I'd give him a 6th star if I could.
