I am 21, I am actually sober and had no interest in drinking, I often don't carry my ID on me because of this reason. I said I might have a photo of it but my phone was dead so i couldn't give her that. she refused to serve us after asking if we knew the owner (as if we had known the owner it would be fine?) so we ended up leaving. the only reason I'm writing this review is because there was a 7 year old sitting at the bar right next to us. We made it very clear we just wanted food and we're still refused service for lack of ID despite having a child sit there at the bar eating. I wish I would've lied and said I knew the owner because then I would be knee deep in some fries right now. Super disappointing. #WEDONTCARDANYONEUNDER10 #BRINGIDFORFRIES

The bartender tried telling me that the portion size of the food is not as large but it's much better food than it used to be. I'm not exactly sure how you can go from a 1 pound burger to a 1/3 pound burger, and it'd be better?!?!. The burger wasn't anything special. Lacked flavor and probably was the same price as before, which you would have paid for the 1 pound burger. I understand that a 1 pound burger with a lot of bacon isn't cheap to make, but don't tell me that your food is better when it's clearly not, this is Wisconsin, if you're not serving at least a 1/2 pound burger, you're losing. I will try again another day but disappointed so far.

I've been visiting Devils Lake for years, and I always pass by this bar. Then it hit me--this bar's burger was on Channel 15's morning show last year! So, I decided to swing by on our way back. It was just the middle of the afternoon on a Monday, so it wasn't too crowded. The service was fantastic, and the burgers were absolutely delicious.
