I came here for Friday fish fry in the winter - I think there was a basketball or hockey game, but nothing causing a crazy wait or crowd. We had some old fashioneds before ordering food, and I thought they were good. Service was super attentive, especially as we delayed ordering to enjoy drinks and an appetizer for a bit. I ordered the beer battered cod fish fry (my staple), and overall it was yummy to eat. The two pieces that came out were enormous and a bit wonky shaped... made me wonder what on earth this fish looked like in its swimming days. The batter was quite tasty, crunchy but not too crunchy/hard, but it was so incredibly think I'm not sure I got fish in every bite. I took one piece home and give the fish part to my pup as a meal topper, and the ratio of breading I had to pull off compared to fish was a bit (quite a bit) much. Still, everything I ate was tasty. I got the salad with my dinner, and was so happy that it came out with quality greens instead of a chunk of iceberg type lettuce. Quaint little corner-ish bar in the middle of downtown Regent street. Got the sour cream and chive potato wedges for an app, which came out piping HOT and fast. Great seasoning! Ordered the soup and half sandwich special for $6!!! Soup was good flavor but the consistency was chalky, you can tell it was on too hot and milk had split. Sandwich was perfectly grilled and served with a pickle. Nice portions for how extremely reasonable. Servers were helpful and quick, they both helped each other and had a good time behind the bar. read more

Went for the $6 soup and half sandwich & it did not disappoint. I do think that it might only be on Sunday's since it was on the separate Sunday menu. I had the broccoli cheddar and it was amazing. My BF got the chicken chili. He said it was good just a lot of large chunks of tomato so if your a fan of that, it's for you. The parking situation wasn't the best. They do have about 8/9 parking spots on property but it is very, very hard to get out. The drink selection is pretty small for a "pub", but what they have is affordable. read more

I was there for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place was busy and noisy. But there were plenty of seats available. I went with a cajun walleye with potato pancakes. Cajun walleye was a lot less flavorful than I would like. I think next time, I would go for cod or bluegil. Potato pancakes were good. I went for a clam chowder soup. My rating is for the food. We came for a weekday lunch. My suggestion is get there early! There are a few off-street parking spots to grab (but only if you're early). Big row of cozy booths make you almost forget you're in a college bar. They have daily food specials, so check them out on their website. I ordered the half sandwich and soup combo for only $6.00. Their chicken chili was surprisingly spicy. I would say Medium+ spicy, not mild. I tried the turkey half sandwich toasted. It was fine. Next time I will also add a side salad when ordering this combo. My husband adored the smoked brisket and cheese sandwich! It was super big and very tasty! Went during a Sunday afternoon for the Packers game and was pleasantly surprised when my group was able to be seated right away. Unfortunately at the booth, I wasn't able to see the TVs that well. Great food, service and Badger hockey shuttle. We let them know when we arrived we wanted to eat and get on the shuttle. They fed us in time to make everything perfect. Was charged $4.00 for a side a sauerkraut in a ketchup cup. I asked why the charge was $4.00. I was told because they don't have a Sauerkraut button. So you just make up prices? They told me coleslaw was $4.00 and the closest thing to it. Here is an idea...Don't lie to me! What restaurant doesn't have an add-on food button. My husband & I keep going back to Jordan's Big Ten Pub yet to be disappointed! :) Parking is not the greatest with limited parking but continues to be a great local WI neighborhood sports bar! Nothing fancy but it is a phenomenal place for great food, great drink specials, friendly staff, & fun times! We came back & tried their Cajun dusted shrimp popcorn as an appetizer which was absolutely delicious being crispy & nicely seasoned with Cajun seasoning. My husband & I were play fighting over who would get the last handful of popcorn shrimp! Jordan's Big Ten Pub garlic ribeye steak sandwich with a side garden salad! The sandwich was excellent being topped with fried onions, mushrooms, garlic aioli, greens on a french roll with me adding cheese on it! They were able to cook the ribeye steak medium well for me. This is been one of the more fun Fourth of July me and my family got to spend some time together and then I went out with my brothers to Jordan's Big Ten pub. I'm definitely recommended if you were a out of town or or something in the area and you wanted to go to the place where you could watch some sports and drink some beers. This is definitely the spot. I wouldn't recommend it if they didn't sell my favorite Budweiser I really wouldn't go to any bar that doesn't have Budweiser. I'd spend more time describing it, but I am running to work now and I just remembered because I walked by it on my way to McDonald's. Plenty of parking the staff is nice. Been trying to move my many possessions out of my place these past few weeks, and after several sweaty back breaking hours we always find ourselves at none other than Jordan's Big Ten Pub. This is your quintessential Wisco Pub: complete with sports bar, outdoor patio and cozy booths. Maybe it's missing that random sand volleyball court but, hey--it's got quality food to make up for it. First time we went on a Sunday. They had a sandwich and soup special for $5.25 and it was a very decent meal. I went with turkey and Swiss with chicken chili and my mom went with the chicken and rice. Both soups and sandwiches were great. Exactly what you'd expect and you can't beat the price. Next time was on a Friday which means Fish Fry. We got the Beer Battered Cod and Cajun Buttered Peel N Eat Shrimp. Both excellent- reign supreme. And the soup that comes with is Clam Chowder which also reigns supreme. Like this is some real good hefty seafood. We had a different server each time we went but they were both so friendly and attentive. TLDR: you won't forget this fish fry. Really all their specials seem unbeatable but the fish fry tho. Went here for lunch on a Wednesday for Burger Week. There was a pretty good lunch crowd on the day, but we were still able to pick our own seats. The waiters/waitresses were super prompt to come get drink orders and food orders. We ended up getting the house burger and the special Old Fashioned Burger. The house burger comes with red onions, Muenster, pickles, and a house sweet red chili aioli. All the components made for a well-balanced burger that I would definitely order again. They all grilled it to the perfect medium. The special burger had house cured brandy and orange bacon, brie cheese, and a branded cherry compote. It was a tasty burger, but I could have used a little more punch of old fashioned. Maybe a little more cherry compote would have done the trick. I was impressed that you did get some of the orange flavor from the bacon though. Overall tasty food and good atmosphere. They know what they're doing on the grill. read more

We arrived at a very packed Jordan's right after the UW graduation and had the best experience! Our waitress, Francesca, was so friendly and unflappable in spite of the crowds. The drinks came out quickly, as did our food. My husband and I ordered the Mexican Street Corn Ensalada and said we were going to share it. Two bowls came out with a hearty serving for each of us. The presentation was very nice, and the salad itself was delicious. It had the perfect amount of zip/spice. Our son had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and the portion was generous. My fianceé and I believe this is one of the best, if not the best, place for bar food in Madison. We started with the cheese curds as our appetizer, and must I say more? Cheese curds in Wisconsin? Rainy day and looking for a place to eat inside. Also, a lot of places are closed on Monday, so we stopped at JORDAN'S BIG10. We tried the specials of the day, the Chorizo burger with sweet potato fries and the soup and half sandwich, which was turkey, with the lobster bisque (Monday's soup). They were both delicious. Jordan's on game day is such a fun time! I love going to their outdoor tailgate and ordering cheese curds and a pulled pork sand which or hamburger. Their food is so delicious, even though it's outside under heat lamps. They must make it fresh at Jordan's and bring it outside. They have lots of mixers, beers, seltzers, and more to choose from. I love their rail whiskey Pepsi's! You can opt to go inside for food and drinks instead if you'd like but i prefer the outdoor area if it's nice out. They have several TVs outside to watch games, one is really large. The vibe is great there, it's usually not to crowded but there are lots of Wisconsin peeps there! Came here during a March Madness game and Friday Fish Fry and it was chaos. The place was extremely busy and we had not been here before so we didn't know what to do. We stood for about 5 minutes before we decided to claim some bar seats that a couple left and pushed aside their empty plates. It took another 10 minutes before we could flag someone down to grab menus. We already looked at the menu beforehand and knew what we were going to get. We tried the clam chowder, sweet potato fries, chips, fried perch, and grilled walleye. We saw our clam chowder ready at the bar, but they ran out of spoons, so we did not get it until about 10 minutes later. I have mixed feelings about the chowder. It was completely cold by then (if anything, slightly lukewarm in the middle). The place was so busy and packed that we didn't bother to ask for it to be reheated up. However, the chowder itself was delicious. It was thick and creamy with good strong flavors. It probably would have been even tastier if it was warm. The walleye was simply grilled but tasty, nothing too special though. There were small bones in there, so watch out for those. The fried perch was also decent. We enjoyed the cole slaw because it was not drenched in mayonnaise and was nice and fresh. The sweet potato fries were decent (and also a $2 upcharge by the way). I really enjoyed the homemade chips. Overall, it was a good meal with huge portions, but I don't know if this fish fry stands out in comparison to others. Our bill ended up being a little higher than I expected (around $40 after tax and tip). In addition, the place gets really packed. This is our "go-to" post game joint. Close to the stadium and close to my kids apartment. Accommodated a group of 14 with no advanced notice just last weekend after a volleyball game. Burger were delicious as usual and the waitress was more than patient with us (amazingly patient given the multiple checks and people coming and going). Friday fish fry is awesome but the burgers and sandwiches hit the spot. Turns into a college kid nightclub at about 10pm or so. Fun to watch them come in but we use this as our que to exit. I was hooked on their regular fries, moved on to the sweet potato fries, and have settled on the wedge fries. All replacing the former as my favorite fries in Madison. Jordan's...where do I start? The food is so good it's worth the annoying parking, which is saying a lot in this area! It's the kind of place you walk in and seat yourself, it's definitely got a cozy neighborhood pub vibe. Lots of regulars. The curds are so dang good and the aioli that comes with them..I wanted a bottle to take home. Their bar food is so good, you'd expect it to be from a food truck. Try the papas fritas, I shared them w my husband and we still had a full take-out box to take home. Only complaint is that the street corn on it wasn't as hot as the fries. Also, expect a little wait for your check during rushes, personally I prefer waiting a bit to being rushed out. We will definitely be back! read more

We had tickets to the Friday night Women's Volleyball game so we decided to stop here for a very early dinner. We got here before 5pm and we were glad we did since we got some of the last seats at the bar (and the restaurant). The bartenders were super friendly and the old fashions were very good. The whole staff was busting their butts given the crowds. We both tried the fish fry - I had the perch, very good but the onion rings were breaded not beer battered a minus. The cod fish fry was also very tasty. The only downside is that there is no one to help people get seated so when busy it is a pain in the butt to get a table.
