Very small local dive bar. Their pizza is their speciality. The crust was very hard. If you love a lot of cheese on your pizza you'll love it but the ratios of toppings to sauce to cheese was way off. A lot of sauce and cheese, skimpy toppings. Need more balance of ingredients. The staff was very friendly. I should've researched this restaurant more before stopping by but it had great reviews so thought I'd try it. read more

Even though the place was fairly busy, our food still came out in a reasonable amount of time. The highlight was the "pizza fries" which is their pizza dough with garlic butter and cheese along with their sauce for dipping. The thin crust here is flaky and the cheese is very satisfyingly stretchy. The sauce is chunky, but our pickier eaters just picked the big chunks off. The inside is a bar area with some seating and then a second room with more seating, which I am putting pictures of since it was just my family inside. There is also a patio. My in-laws say it's important to add: they only have Pepsi products on the soda gun. Also, beer in cans and wine only. I'm excited to go back for the spinach-artichoke-dip pizza. read more

Stopped in tonight for a pizza. Ordered the Margarita pizza with light sauce and loaded with chicken, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, basil and plenty of cheese on homemade thin crust that was cooked to perfection. Service was great even though they were short staffed. The place is small but the quality is superb. Highly recommend without any reservations. H's is fast becoming a go-to for us! Their baked fish on Friday is outstanding--hard to find better this side of Lake Wisconsin! Seating is limited so come early or carry out. Prices are reasonable and owners are really nice. We've had the fish, the baked shrimp, the pizza, and the chicken Alfredo fettuccine. Everything is always good and plentiful. I'm always impressed with their huge side salads--romaine, tomato, onion, and croutons! I'm looking forward to trying the rest of their menu! read more

This is located on the Merrimac side of Lake Wisconsin. We took the ferry over after 6pm to avoid traffic and had a table of 7. The fish is baked and you can pick from four different flavors. Lemon Pepper, Parmesan Crusted, Cajun and Buttered. We had the Lemon Pepper and Cajun and both were amazing. They come with a potato or rice & a salad. They also have shrimp. Others had the large and small calzones. Those were amazing as well. The large feeds 2-3 and even the small will feed 1-2. Service was great and the bartender, Clayton, was very accommodating. There is some outdoor seating. The place is smaller, so plan accordingly. This can be accessed by boat or car. read more

We were total strangers here on our first visit and the owners/ wait staff and local regulars treated us like family. We had a great time and Clint made our child feel right at home with a homemade cookie,and a couple of CLEAN jokes. Cathy - the owner- is warm and friendly , you wont have to wait for a drink and the food is served immediately from the kitchen. The deep dish does take an hour but it's worth the wait and this place is incredibly kid friendly! The pizza is right up there with Chicago's best deep dish at a fraction of the cost,and the mozzarella they use is the creamiest I've ever eaten. I eat at this place, usually 2-3 times each summer. Tonight I ordered a calzone. After a (30) minute wait, on a not very busy evening, i inquired with the owner about what was the hold up. She said, "it takes (30) minutes to bake a calzone". After (5) minutes, she returned to say that it would be another (15), which is what I suspect was the actual time to bake a calzone. I told that I would pay for my beers and would leave. She said ok and left. (5) minutes she returned and I again asked for my bill. And she said it was taken care of. Which would have been nice to know when she walked away the first time. read more

This is hands down one of the best deep dish pizza places I have been to. My buddies and I hiked Devils Lake (off trail views and all) and we met someone on trail who recommended H's Place. We were NOT disappointed with the food, the service, and the hospitality. The 16" Meat Lovers easily fed four of us grown men and it was super reasonably priced. Heard good things about H's place so we thought we would give it a try. Had G/F bun so we tried the 1/2 # burger this trip. They use an air fryer for the steak fries so they were G/F also. Food and service was great. The place was crazy busy with carry put pizza which they are known for. Next trip we'll try the G/F cauliflower crust pizza. read more

Can't imagine a more fun place for A uniquely traditional pizza, both thin and their 10 lb thick pizza. Take out or dine in, there is a special every day. Went here after a morning of golfing at Devils Head. We had our jetskis with us and was pleasantly surprised there was a public landing right there as well. As far as food, we ordered an 18" thin crust pepperoni and sausage. The cheese was good and there were chunks of tomatoes on top in addition to sauce and the meats were yummy as well. The crust was nice and crispy and flaky which I like. Husband wasn't as keen to it. They have fresh deserts to order as well. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to answer some questions we had about the lake. There is seating inside and outside. Would have liked to eat outside but it was hot that day.
