It's best to learn from their mistakes instead of making your own. No type of dealership is perfect whether it's cars, boats or motorcycles and Boater's Landing is no different. After my boat was taken to the Fort Myers Marine, within a few hours, I received a call from Manager Myron, informing me that my boat did not require a major repair service, which I thought I needed. I was impressed with his honesty. He recommended other minor repairs for the boat. He gave me the best price possible for various repairs and services. My boat was quickly fixed and within a day, I was back on the water. While I was testing my new Jack Plate, I was having some electrical issues. Whenever I called him, which was several times, he was always kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. With his proper guidance, I was able to fix all the minor issues. He was so helpful. Company No 1 did not respond for a week; Co No 2 set an appointment for the following week with a $150 visit charge to be applied to the repairs. I received a same-day response from Elevation Boat Lift Services LLC, and Scott set an appointment for Friday that very week. The following day, I sent a photo of the two motors, and Elevation sent me an estimate. Scott came on Friday at the appointed time. He checked the cables, pulls, motors, gem box, etc. Scott was knowledgeable, personal and friendly. The following Monday Scott installed the motors and gem box. First issue was with our 255 Open…read moreID. we had bought it from a non scarab dealer and wanted it completely gone over. they recommended a "jetpump service" as we were at 200 hours and they said it's recommended at 150. They charged me for the jetpump service, even the orings were on the invoice. 10 hours later, my starboard jetpump went. Mobile mechanic verified they missed an oring, causing it to fail, and I had to replace the jetpump. 10 hours after that (20 total) my port side pump went. Wavetec became invisible when I sent them the video of what the mobile mechanic found. fast forward to this week. purchased a brand new 285 and took delivery of it Saturday of Easter weekend. was told "scarabs require a 20 hour service". I also had a few warranty issues I wanted logged and started with Scarab. they confirmed yes, there is a 15 hour service and then every 50 hours. $1100 dollars for that "15 hour service". Except there isn't a 15 hour service or a 20 hour service. it's a 50 hour service. then I found out it's 50 hours for the first and 100 hours after that. These guys cheat, lie, and steal. I would NOT recommend them, EVER, unless it's absolutely strictly warranty work.

Dishonest, rude, condescending dealership. Recently I had a…read morenon start issue with my boat that I purchased at Fishtale. I took my boat there thinking I could trust them. BIG MISTAKE. They gave me a written estimate for over $10,000 in parts plus labor. Are these people serious, or were they trained by Richard "I am not a crook" Nixon. They were condescending, rude, and pushy. They told me that the engine (with only 107 hours on it) was not worth saving and I should just have them put a new one on for $20,000 plus. I have never been treated as poorly as the Fishtale employees I met with. Dejected, I went to another dealership, Pier 41 Marine, where I was treated with respect, and honesty. Pier 41 quickly repaired the engine for a small fraction of what Fishtale was asking, and also informed me that the trim motor which Fishtale reported as leaking was in fact NOT LEAKING. If I could give Fishtale less than a one star review, I certainly would. They deserve a NEGATIVE TEN. These people would not know what honesty is if they fell over it. Incidentally, the tech who worked on my boat stole my gas filter wrench, at first he denied it, but when I insisted that we look in his tool bag, guess what? It was sitting there. He replied "oh, I must have accidentally put it in there?" It is not enough that the dealership rips you off, the Fishtale tech also tried helping himself to one of my tools, hoping I wouldn't notice. As Cher so famously said, "gypsies, tramps and thieves".
