After going to many and I mean many boat shops answers were never fully answered, felt like the information provided enough, or the ultimately the customer service to answer questions stunk. We visited The Boat Shop and felt very at home from a family fan business, maintenance being done in the back and friendly people. It was great to be able to customize the boat from the many options, look at others in comparison, understand the difference between the nitro versus others...even checking out the Bass Cat being built from the ground up on their Facebook page! A few months later even getting a thank you note from the originator of Bass Cats Boats....if that doesn't show you pride and comfort in a purchase I'm not sure what could! During July 2019; during COVID we purchased a Bass Cat Boat. Even though it was delayed in production due to COVID information of boat progress was nice. We were able to get the boat in Oct which honestly was earlier than originally projected. My husband is happier than ever that he purchased the bass cat even if my checkbook was numb for the purchase! We just did 20 hours of service maintenance and Eric was able to do that on the spot and saves time. In addition, the trailer was bent and rubber padding broke due to gassing the boat up but he was able to fix that as well! Very thankful and great place. I would highly recommend anyone to check this place out and we have no regrets with The Boat Shop, people and the purchase of our Bass Cat.

We went back on the lake same problem took it back and this time the mechanic said it was bad gas and that he flushed it all out. When we took it to the lake again same problem. This time we took it to a different mechanic who was referred to by a friend. This mechanic informed us that the carburetor was never rebuilt. So summer comes around, boat still hasn't sold. So my partner on the boat and I decided we wanted to pick the boat up and keep it. Pat seemed aggravated by this and told me he had all these customers in different states interested, but no commitment from anyone. I asked what it would take to pay him for everything and get the boat back. ($1,420.00) I paid that with no problem because I trusted him. Well I get home and the three speakers he installed for 375$ weren't even wired in and were 45$ speakers on amazon. I called Pat and told him the issue, which he thought he would resolve with cussing and yelling as well as hanging up on me three times. I decided to let this shady gentlemen keep the money and I'm moving on to avoid confrontation. Pat is a complete SCAMMER In my bill it clearly states the 300$ I paid for the storage fees. So there was nothing free about it . AND I told you everything about the boat and asked if you wanted to get in it and look it over with me in which you said no, it looks good from down here. I had no problem paying for repairs until I was ripped off. So I don't know where you get FREE And I never didn't want you to fix anything , I paid you 400$ to replace a vinyl strip... On top of that I cut my price 5 thousand dollars and you couldn't sell it. So don't say I was using you as a free storage facility .

Though we weren't even renting anything from them - they went so far above and beyond what most people would do it was genuinely amazing. My husband and I were traveling home from visiting family at Canyon Lake and found that our tire had not been rescued to the underside of our truck properly. As we passed by their business, our tire swung wide under the car and bent our rim causing quite a scare. My husband had no choice but to pull over and by grace, Tristan was there followed shortly by Conner who dropped everything they were doing to make sure we were safe and to offer any help they could. Though it didn't take long to correct the cause of the problem, they stayed with my husband the whole time and made sure we were safe to travel again. Thank goodness for good, honorable and helpful men as these. We are so fortunate to have met them, and so grateful to know that they are either the co-owner or affiliates of this business. This place is cool if you're trying to get on the water, but be aware of some of the issues…read more Pros: Able to squeeze me the day of on the lake which was nice. Shop is friendly and close by the water Cons: Equipment isn't serviced right. We had a jet ski get delivered where there was no brake/reverse function and a maintenance required alarm going off while driving around. They won't mention any issues until you're on the water. 30 minutes late to drop off and 20 minutes late to pick up. Both times we had to call to get an update and when waiting to be picked up, they acted like they didn't realize we were waiting on them. When unloading the jet ski they refused to turn jet ski around which wasn't a big deal, but one guy said they had to turn us around and the kid refused to get in water to help. Overall: It's up to you. The waiting times are what really caused me to write this review because there's no rope or way to anchor off the jet ski so we had to wait out on the water. A customer shouldn't have to call to ask where you're at, especially when we are following the guidelines given to us about where to be. The paper they make you sign says they went over the rules and regulations, etc but it literally consists of wear a life jacket and this sign shows you how to roll the jet ski back over. That's it. If you're need a jet ski last minute then do what you will, but if you have time, there are several other local spots in the area to consider.
