Just got a tow from Southfield to Troy when my car died in rush hour traffic. My insurance company said it would be two hours to get a tow truck to me. Bob Adams was there in 20 minutes. Charged a reasonable price. Was friendly as can be. And I was home eating dinner before the original tow truck would have even arrived. Lesson learned. Just call Bob Adams first. read more

While the response time may have gotten a boost from the fact that I broke down just across the road from Bob Adams', I still can't speak highly enough of their rapid service and professionalism. It took less than half an hour from the time I called to the time the car was dropped of at the shop. The truck had arrived at the site before I had even gotten off the phone with dispatch! When comparing that to the 1-1.5 hour waits quoted by other companies, it can't be beat The woman who took my call was absolutely a pleasure to work with, and she made a stressful situation much easier to handle, walking me through the process and making sure that everything was taken care of before she let me go. My check engine light came on and my battery died on the same day. Of course I had just recently cleaned my car and forgot to toss my jumper cables/ emergency kit back in the trunk too... Anyway, it was the end of the work day- most people had already left, and my phone battery was at less than 10%. It was just one of THOSE days, ya know? I texted a family member with my GPS location and explained the issue, and asked them to call me a tow truck. They called Bob Adams, and let me know that they would be ~45 minutes out since they were just finishing up another job. I honestly expected to have to wait a good 2 hours. 45 minutes have passed, and I see the red Bob Adams tow truck pull up, right on the dot. I'm already impressed. I walked the guy through the issues, and after trying a few things, we got my car started, and I was able to drive home without needing a handful of additional services. I was able to pay with a credit card, and less than 5 minutes later there was already a receipt in my e-mail inbox. For the drive out to me, and the service itself, I think the price was definitely reasonable. I am very pleased with the customer service- quick and friendly from start to finish. I hope to never need to use their services again, but should I find myself in need of a tow truck, this will be my first call. read more

I got my Honda Civic towed by them. They were extremely nice to me. The guy who came out was super friendly and helpful. Additionally there was an issue with the dealership that I took the car to treating me like garbage and not accepting my Honda. The tow guy stayed with my car throughout all of this. Jump started it with the help of someone else, and I was able to take it to another dealership. Additionally Shawna who I spoke to on the phone went above and beyond to help me when the dealership wouldn't accept my car. Both her and the tow guy (whose name I embarrassingly forgot) went above and beyond for me. I couldn't be more thankful to them. If they are reading this, you two are amazing people and what you did meant so much to me. I had been trying to get my car towed since 1am, no one would tow my car. Finally at 8:00 I contacted Bob Adams, they said they would tow my car, and came out within the hour. By 9:30am when the dealership was being an asshole this company had my back. Social Media---- this has gotten so out of control, in today's world anyone can say anything they want against anyone even if it is made up and unfounded. A review made on this web site regarding our company is untrue and unfounded. When customers visit our impound facility a small amount of them are not the most polite and trust worthy customers you can ask for. And for that we have to take these accusations on social media. This is why our facility is video and audio recorded to be able to see the truth. Cash only and was $180 at first and then $240 later. Fees are the highest I've ever paid a tow company. At least they let me look at my own car, because normally they won't let you according to they guy. Not like you get a tow choice, but if you do....... read more

Locked our keys in the car in the back of the driveway so none of us could get out to go to work. Called Bob Adams Towing, the truck was here in 20 minutes or less, car was unlocked with no damage and we were all on our way. Price was reasonable, too. This business deserves zero stars. Please be aware that they have a CASH ONLY policy for their outrageously expensive towing service. They do no accept cards or checks. There is no ATM anywhere near the property. I called on the phone before coming to ask how much I owed them and they stated they would only tell me in person! My friend's car was damaged during the tow process, and the computer on my car is malfunctioning also. Absolutely horrible experience. read more

Unethical. The dispatch center my insurance company uses for towing called them to tow my car from a remote spot to the service center. The mileage they charged was over the maximum covered. Bob Adams reported mileage was higher than that shown by Google Maps, which is always quite accurate. If you have used them be sure to check the mileage charged against Google Maps. If you are looking for an honest towing company, look elsewhere. read more

I ran off the road due to icy conditions and found myself with a wheel lodged atop a boulder and suspended over a water pipe. AAA called another company that actually made my predicament worse. The Bob Adams team showed up and worked with the local water crew to find a solution to get my vehicle out with no additional damage to the car or the pipe. I will not be calling AAA again for a tow when I can call Bob Adams. So thankful! read more

LOOK OUT THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF WITH INCOMPATENT STAFF FROM THE OFFICE DOWN TO THE DRIVERS. It took the driver twenty minutes to arrive at out place which was a half a mile from where he was at. The truck itself was not road worthy with only one cable to hook our car up with, he used no lights to warn car was in tow, no four ways were used, no over head lights, his break lights and turn signals could not be seen while car was in tow. The charge was $92 dollars for a three mile tow which the driver extended the mileage by going out of his way to get to the dealer. Driver did not go into dealership to drop off car to inform them car was parked out back, let it up to customer to inform, just dumped the car and left. Driver was rude with a god complex. All around worst experience ever. If you want to waste time, money and don't car about how your car arrives this is the tow company for you. read more

Unethical, scumbag operation. Will fleece you at every opportunity. Had two run ins with these jokers. Once they illegaly towed my car. NO NOTICE on private property. Wouldn't even let me take my personal belongings. Can't say enough about how bad these people are. Plus they will charge you an exhorbinant amount for storage if you arent in a position to get your car out right away. Stay away at all costs and call someone reputable. read more

Totally took advantage of us after an accident it cost $165.00 to tow my car 2 miles to their yard and then $20.00 extra because I could not get it out that day. The lady at front desk was VERY rude I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

In February 2015, I came out of work to find my car battery dead. I did a search of local towing companies and selected Bob Adams Towing, mainly because of its location. The person who answered the phone was courteous, and the tow truck driver was patient and helpful. I wish I could remember their names so I could add them to this review. So I have only used their services once, yet I had a great experience. read more

WOW, great customer service. I use them several times a year for hauling construction equipment to jobs and they have been wonderful.

They charged my kid $300 for a tow from her high school. Totally took advantage of a kid. Two thumbs down. Very bad guys.
