This place doesn't seem to know to communicate with one another or customers for that matter, and I…read morewould never try to do business in the future. After agreeing on a price on a car they had listed... They (Courtney) Said the car was in the shop and she would notify me the minute it was out. I called back every other day for almost two weeks, stopped my search of looking for other cars, ect. Not only did she not call me back when the car was out of the shop, she stopped returning my calls at all. I found out from another person at the main number the car was returned from the shop a couple days before, and they would no longer honor the same price, They want it almost $3,000 more, even though I told them who I spoke with. Was told again by Courtney she would talk to her Manager and another promise to call back, but never happened either. In the end, I'm glad I didn't purchase a car from Bob Allen motor Mall because looking at the reviews, there's a lot of unhappy people with their vehicles, and faulty warranties. Some things are a blessing in disguise.

All's well that ends well. I mean, sorta…read more This has been a two year (almost to the day) journey that honestly should've taken two weeks. Max. I bought a new vehicle at Bob Allen. I noticed a paint imperfection on the lot the day I bought it. Everyone there agreed that it needed to be repaired. Pictures were taken. Assurances made. And yet, this nightmare went on for two long years. Keep in mind that this is a warranty job. The car was new. But every time I spoke to someone, they passed it on to someone else like a crazy game of hot potato. Think for a moment. How many people do you know by name at your dealership? One? Probably none. That's the way it should be. I shouldn't have to worry about who is who at the dealership. But, during this ordeal, I talked to Austin, Hannah, Tim, Thomas, Steve, Lauren, and even that curmudgeon Brian. You all, it shouldn't have taken two years to fix the paint. I shouldn't have to talk to that many people over two long years to get a warranty job done. I'm not sure how that many people can drop a ball but I'm proof positive that it can happen at Bob Allen. The two year trial is finally over. They did what appears to be a good job with the paint (thanks, Steve). But now, after having gone through this, I have to wonder if they'll honor their Bob Allen Allegiance Lifetime Powertrain Warranty should anything go wrong in the future. I like the car I bought. It's quick, nimble, and reliable. I just wish the dealership could've been the same. Here's to hoping the future relationship with them is better than the past.

Can't say enough how glad I was to buy from Stuart Powell in the end…read more I live in Lexington, and I tried to buy here. But, keep in mind, they have to pay Coach Pope and Coach Stoops for advertising. Apparently, it ain't cheap. Stuart Powell can meet or beat Paul Miller on price. It is worth the drive to Danville to at least compare. I had a fantastic salesperson. Barry Wilson is low pressure, easy going, super helpful, and available. I contacted him on a Sunday outside of work hours with an offer and he was back with me early Monday morning with an answer. He guides you through the process quickly and easily. I can't say enough great things about Barry. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a vehicle. The only part of the process I wasn't entirely satisfied with was closing out the deal with the finance department. Look, I realize that they make great commissions off of the window tinting, extended warranty, etc. But when I say "no", accept that as my answer. I don't need questioning of my decision, I don't need financial advice, and I don't need the pressure when I'm already spending tens of thousands of dollars on a vehicle. That said, they all do this. It just comes at a time when you're already exhausted mentally from making a large financial decision. But, as long as you know that going in, you can be prepared for it. As I said, I still highly recommend the dealership and Barry in particular. I also would suggest you compare the large city versus small town dealership. Paul Miller has a beautiful showroom. Grand piano. Massive video screens. And the coaches. But someone has to pay for all that...namely you. Stuart Powell, on the other hand, has a showroom that looks like something straight out of 1970. But I love that. I say embrace it. Save that showroom money for the deal. And they were able to do that for me.

If I could do a fraction of a star, I wouldn't have selected an entire star to rate this business…read more I spoke with the owner about the buy here/pay here program (because I had a car stolen so I can't get a loan yet) he assured me they could do this with $1,000 down. I test drove a 2009 Ford Fusion. The title was a rebuild if memory serves me correctly, so some things like the tail light not having a cover was to be expected. I did notice the turn signal was very rapid which usually implies a light is out, and I forgot to check it so I called later to let him know. Before I left the lot however, I let him know the speedometer wasn't working. He said he would have his mechanic check it out. He asked that I call back the next day around 11. I called and it was taking a while to get the part. I checked the website and noticed a Ford ranger I hadn't noticed. When I called again I said I think I'd like to check out the ranger, it was significantly cheaper. (Fusion - $5,275 & Ranger - $3,275) When I arrived to look at the ranger the rust (not shown online) was so severe I seriously don't think the frame was safe so I didn't even get inside! The bed was sunken down where it meets the cab. So I go inside and say, jokingly, I changed my mind again. I think I'll stick with the Fusion. The owner Scottie replies, "well I'm gonna need $2,000 down on that now so the ranger is your only option if you're just putting $1,000 down." I respectfully declined and left. Did the downpayment change because there was a repair? That's my fault how? I'm used to doing business with a man of his word so I'll never go back there or recommend such a rude business. I got a 2007 NICE JETTA for that $1,000 he didn't want with ZERO payments & it looks way better than any of the cars I sat in there so it worked out for the best. To God be the glory! Just so nasty to treat someone that way!
