The blueberry pancakes were only 3/4 the regular size and the blueberry sauce was only on 2 pancakes. The omelette was also small with almost no vegetables. The kids pancakes, also small. The service was excellent. You can't beat attentive and friendly. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and helpful/patient with my children. The bathrooms were clean. While I never had to ask for a refill on any of our drinks, the food was just lacking some. My burger was dry as a bone, and tasteless. At least it came out hot. Wish I could give no stars. Every time I order from this restaurant they always mess up my order and the food is cold. There was a time over a year ago when the place was better. But over the last year the food is terrible and they always mess up the order. How hard is it to ensure you include everything ordered? My kids end up disappointed. So proud of the workers at this location for dealing with this aftermath of Kent OH Halloween and Sunday church goers. We had a 20min wait and so did everyone else. I'm giving it one star because I ate seven rolls and it made me hate myself. I don't know if you've ever eaten seven Bob Evans rolls, but your mouth gets so dry. Then you feel terrible, I mean really terrible. I slept for three hours last night and woke up just to go to Bob Evans. You ever have that dream where you're talking to the woman you love and she tells you she's moving to Ghana to be in the peace Corp but you can't go with her because your widowed mom needs your help getting her diabetes medication? Rude Manager Chris!!! I did an online order for what I thought was the same thing I usually get, I explained I just had surgery and didn't want to cook, and had my husband stop and get dinner. When I explained this to the girl she was so sympathetic, I didn't mind her getting a tip even on an online order, but the manager Chris was so rude and said there's nothing he will do because I got exactly what I ordered. I have eaten at Bob Evans many times before, but I have never been served burnt food until today at This Bob Evans When the waitress brought out my food she made An attempt to still present this travesty of a meal, she said while placing it on the table they were re making the potatoes. I am floored as to why there was an effort at all to serve burnt food! When they brought out the food the second time around it was undercooked this time! M- I endured a early morning music festival for breakfast. The noise levels were so elevated and the music selection was so Kent I left my breakfast for a quiet car. I did alert the staff a few time of my displeasure. I was about the only customer they had at that time. The place was empty but the music was at concert level. It may be a common issue at this location. You go to Bob Evans because you know what to expect this may not be the location for an early morning crowd. It was clear that entertaining the staff was a high priority. Food marginal but I didn't do a whole lot sitting around savoring. read more

I've had better experiences at other Bob Evans locations. The service is usually decent although the most recent time we ate here our waitress was rude. However the food is very mediocre and carelessly made. The chocolate chip pancakes we ordered had barely any chocolate chips in them and one time we had grilled chicken and it was cold. The restaurant was fairly empty and we were seated right away. Waited a couple moments and figured out what we wanted, mid visit the server was switched out because of a shift change so we waited only a little longer until our orders were taken. Nothing we ordered was complicated, in fact I don't think there were any changes to what was listed on the menu. The food came rather quickly and that is where things went down hill. I ordered steak and eggs and by far that was the absolute worst steak I've ever had in my life, it tasted like minced meat and was cooked extremely hard when I asked for medium rare. EVERYTHING tasted like it had a chemical butter sprayed on it. That is probably due to a non stick cooking spray. It was gross, I couldn't even drink the water. I mentioned my steak and it was remade and again, it came out and was disgusting. I could not eat it. I asked for mushrooms and onions and the server kept forgetting them and then when they did come out, again, disgusting! The eggs were absolutely nasty and the hash browns were burnt on the outside and tasted uncooked or raw in the inside of them. The restaurant itself was also not the most clean. The table felt sticky and the high chair we got for our child looked and felt gross. All in all it was a terrible experience and I'll NEVER go back! My spouse did enjoy his blueberry pancakes but honestly he'll eat anything because I tasted them and they also tasted like non stick cooking spray, which he agreed they did taste like. This bob evans location may seem family friendly at first but what goes on in the kitchen is far from that. While I was enjoying a late breakfast I overheard a man apart of the kitchen staff openly insulted and made fun of a customer, to the point of the customer walking into the kitchen and adressing the staff directly.This same kitchen staff member also rarely fixes dishes when they are sent back for being undercooked. I watched this man take back a plate of mostly raw hashbrows and just let it sit off to the side for 5 minutes before simply sending the plate back out to the customer still undercooked and now cold. I was very appalled when I ordered a refill of my caramel coffee and overheard the women making it complain about not wanting to clean the machine and just forced it to produce a dirty coffee drink for me which... I had lost my craving for. All the while I was enjoying my meal I witnessed 3 groups of people come in and wait nearly 10 minutes before getting seated. The section we sat in had two other tables and the waitress was tending to them and looked over at us multiple times. As well as the other waitresses did as well. Me and a group of 6 of my friends came in last Sunday (yes, I understand Sunday's are busy days) and waited 45 mins to be seated after being told it was only a 20 min wait. Then once we got seated we found 7 bees at our table, there must have been a hive somewhere? I have no idea how they got inside. We told the manager and he eventually came over and killed them. I have always had faith in Bob Evans and their food. Always thought the food was good and safe. UNTIL I went to this location! It was thee worst meal I have ever encountered at a Bob Evans. I was highly disappointed. The food was a disaster. Do not ever get the potato crusted flounder. It came out soggy and lukewarm if that. It took forever to get the server's attention and asked him if they could make it warmer. He said, "like how, in the microwave?". Unbelievable! At the end of the meal we decided to have a slice of this three layer pumpkin pie. We literally waited 20 minutes and our server came to us and said we had to make another pie, that is why it is taking so long. We jokingly said, "since we waited so long, maybe we can get a slightly larger piece." That must have jinxed us, because when the pie came out, it was a very small piece.
