Great food and service, we keep going back!! Haven't found anything that wasn't good.

We went for dinner on Fathers Day. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and he ordered the Fish and Chips. It was the worst meal we've had in years. He had to send the fish back because it was burnt. How it left the kitchen I'll never know. The second one wasn't any better. Too much breading: burnt in the outside, soggy on the inside. The pasta on my dish was BARELY cooked. We ate outside where the bar area was covered in remnant of a birds nest. Will never go back again. read more

We sat outside on the patio to enjoy a nice day, it was a nice area with an indoor outdoor bar. The food was really just okay, and the portions on the breakfast tacos were underwhelming. The fried cauliflower was very rich and the fish sandwich was under seasoned. The jalapeño tartar sauce was really good. read more

Service was slow. Happy hour menu was confusing. Main menu said happy hour menu items were $9. We were charged $15 instead. Manager gave us happy hour menu after the fact. Bait and switch tactic. Ambiance was poor as well. Will not go back. Word of mouth will hurt this restaurant. read more

Decor is rustic and casual like a road side tavern--casual but nice enough for business lunch or date night. My personal favorites are fish and chips, salmon salad, fish tacos and most entrees are shareable too. Burger is more than basic and full bar and great mocktails too. At this location ask to be sat in Truman's section--he leaves no details behind and will treat you like a VIP too. read more

Visited Burntwood Tavern on a quiet Monday night recently. Upon arrival, the restaurant was not busy and we were seated immediately and given menus. We requested some drinks and then reviewed the menus. For dinner, I requested chicken milanese, my wife - fish & chips, and my son - a chicken sandwich. I scoped out the decor while we waited and it was kind of dark in the place. But it was nice. When our food arrived, it looked and smelled great. My chicken milanese was stellar. The potatoes it was served over were excellent and I very much enjoyed the flavor and texture. Everyone loved their meals. I think we'll visit more often because we had a great dinner. the food as just ok. I ordered the salmon which was supposed be served with rice and vegetables. The salmon was in pieces on the plate and was overcooked. Instead of rice I got 3 over cooked round potatoes. The vegetables were just cooked red peppers. I ate most of it because I was hungry but I should have complained and sent it back. I live in the area, and I feel Burntwood has dropped the ball. The food is, for the most part, terrible. Greasy, burnt, and of poor quality. The dining area needs to be updated. There is so much competition in the area, I am shocked they are still in business. I would certainly make another choice in the area. read more

We had predictions for a snow storm so wanted to stay fairly close to the hotel. This restaurant came highly recommend, and was very close to the hotel. Win win! I absolutely loved it here!! There are booths that are private and draped linen and a private back room. The bartender certainly understood her assignment when it was explained that the hotel was pretty much next door hah. I got the Rasta Pasta. Delicious. Everything on the menu looked amazing. I absolutely recommend coming here! read more

Don't understand how a company can fire a server for questioning the GM about their section and the time he has been with the company. I was with burntwood for 8 years got fired by someone who worked there 2 months. Just want to let my regular guests know that Chuck no longer works at Fairlawn burntwood. Menu change and management change has ruined the business. read more

The food was ok, unfortunately they were out of a few item's because of the holiday weekend and their truck comes tomorrow. The staff was all wonderful and friendly, with smiles and laughs. Please reconsider eating here at Burntwood Tavern in Fairlawn. I was with a friend and ordered a salmon salad and friend ordered 3 sliders with no sauce. Her first slider was ok but the other 2 were undercooked. She asked for the other 2 to be reordered without sauce and they brought new order but they had sauce on them. Just after this I pulled out some lettuce and found a hair! Manager came out and fully apologizes to my friend and was not going to charge the meals and she is looking at my friend the entire time. She said no one wears hair nets and most are bald. She seemed to imply that it was my hair and I don't lie to get a free meal. Please go somewhere else to get good service and not lied to your face (or more so, to your friend's face). read more

Place needs some serious updating/maintenance. Seating in the booth was torn up and paint is peeling off the overheard ductwork. And I wasn't even really looking for these kind of things. The food was OK but the time from ordering to receiving food was way longer than expected since this was lunch time and they were not that busy. I live far afield but during this pandemic I wanted to make sure my elderly parents (86 & 91) remained well fed and safe. Burntwood was nearby and was a consistent part of the meal rotation so I couldn't wait to visit in person. Our meals were fabulous and abundant so thank you Burntwood for delivering good meals. Today we had a wide variety of entrees, lobster and shrimp Mac and cheese, tortellini carbonara, French dip, lobster bisque and burgers. The Mac and cheese was rich and luscious with chunks of seafood. The tortellini carbonara featured grill chicken and it made a brief appearance on my dad's plate before disappearing down his gullet. The French dip featured a wonderfully soft yet crisp bread that soaked up the flavorful Au jus and made for a good mouthful with the tender beef and horseradish. And the bisque was heavenly! read more

Deb was our waitress and she was wonderful! We are so thankful we sat in her area! The food was delicious and very timely. She reminded us about happy hour specials and Kids eat free on Monday nights. She was patient with us even with two young children! She was friendly and very helpful, especially when it came to getting our food and drinks out quickly with the little ones! Host and hostess were very nice. The booths have large gashes in the seats in the vinyl. The floor was extremely slippery due to just being washed and no warning. Usually we are very pleased with the food. First time we were disappointed. They changed the way they serve the fish and chips from a whole pc of fish to multiple pieces....like chicken strips. They were terrible. Nothing but breading...couldn't even taste the fish...oil was old. Our entire meal seemed to be overly breaded and fried. I got the 'homemade' tater tots and they were also terrible. It was like they mixed hash browns with way too much flour. Product was dense, gummy, and tasteless. Service was good, but you guys need to focus on serving quality product at the prices your charge. 22 bucks for a plate of fried batter is terrible. We had 10 people in our party after making a reservation for 18. Our waitress was very accommodating even though our party size decreased to 10 due to 8 people backing out. She was very cheerful and upbeat the entire visit, all while giving us great service from start to finish. read more

The experience was truly horrible. The strawberry lemonade we ordered for several people was too tart so we asked for grenadine to try and sweeten it. After getting a tablespoon of liquid, we asked for a serving for each beverage (usually comes in a shot glass), but the server claimed they didn't have any more grenadine (and didn't have shot glasses). When we got ready to order, my daughter tried to get breakfast tacos but was told they ran out of taco shells. She then ordered an omelet with mushrooms, as did my husband. About 25 minutes later, the server returned to say they were "out of mushrooms". We asked for the manager because at this point we expected the food would actually be coming out and worried about the status of the other five meals. I wanted to ensure they weren't getting cold while we sorted out this issue. The manager then appears and admits that they actually don't carry mushrooms at all so we should been advised of this when the order was initially placed. When we told her about all the above issues, she said she would check into whether there was more cherry juice (since they didn't actually carry grenadine in the first place). She also said she had just went and picked up taco shells so my daughter could now order the breakfast tacos. I asked her to please send out meals that were finished so they didn't get cold. She miraculously returned with the cherry juice we had been served a tablespoon of before (in place of the grenadine) even though we had been told there was no more available. But when the food started coming out the issues quadrupled. My husband's omelet was served with cold hash browns. My mother's chicken and waffles were served with cold waffles. My son's breakfast burger was missing the avocado and they forgot his french fries. My chicken parmesan and my son's rasta pasta didn't have enough sauce. I could hear his friend down there complaining that the chicken on her sandwich had a sauce that was too sweet. It was a complete disaster. When the corrections were requested, everything came out in pieces so my husband had to eat the hash browns after he finished his omelet, my mom had to eat her chicken (that she discovered was soggy on the bottom) while she waited an enormous period of time for waffles to be remade and so forth. My daughter finally got the breakfast tacos and asked for hot sauce, which she never received. When they finally brought back my mom's waffles, it was no longer presented with any fresh berries as it originally was served. Just a very disjointed and unpleasant experience and what's worse the manager was not at all apologetic and demonstrated no concern and offered no gesture for the inconvenience. A simple apology and an offer of a complimentary dessert or something would have gone a long way. We had the pleasure of paying the bill - minus the chicken and waffles and breakfast taco - and I enjoyed the shame of having picked this place to enjoy a leisurely brunch with my family.
