    Biscuits and Gravy
    William S.

Service was very poor. I ordered coffee and food. My coffee came 15 minutes after I ordered, about 2 minutes before my food. My server never showed up again until it was time to give me my bill. The pancake and French Toast were excellent. The rest of the food was sub par. The eggs were over cooked, I ordered medium, received medium well. The sausage was extremely greasy. The bacon fried so crispy, it broke apart when I picked it up. The ham was good and the potatoes were as cold as if they were just then removed from the refrigerator. DO NOT GET THE BISCUITS AND GRAVY!. It was garbage. I even tried to cover the taste with hot sauce. It did not work. The country music in the background was good.

    Cinna-Biscuits - WAY overcooked.

The bathrooms are disgusting and how does it take an hour from the time you get to a restaurant to actually get your food. The waitress, when we finally saw her, was friendly. Really disappointed in this place after being excited to see a Bob Evans. RIP Bob Evans.

This Bob Evans restaurant is located along US 90 just west of the interchange with I-75. We were coming to our hotel for the night and missed the turn, so we happened to pass this place by as we made a U-turn. Since we don't have this place at home, we would come back here for dinner after getting settled at the hotel. My visits here were on August 26, 2022 (dinner) and August 27, 2022 (breakfast). After getting settled at the hotel, we wanted to have some dinner. We have always liked Bob Evans, so we came here that evening. Plus, we didn't have to deal with the traffic on US 90 to get there either. When we first came up, they weren't too busy at the time, but you could tell the building definitely looked newer. There was ample parking available as well. When we came inside, the staff were working on different tables and the bakery. We were acknowledged as soon as we came in and they said they would be with us in a moment. Sure enough, a moment later one came over and we were seated at a table. Our server Allison came over to the table shortly after getting seated. She asked us what drinks we wanted to get. Everyone went with a different drink. Just to note, they offer Pepsi products here for sodas. After she came back with the drinks, we were ready to order. I went with the Turkey and Dressing Dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and macaroni and cheese as the sides. My mom went with the Pot Roast Dinner and my niece went with a Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. In a little under ten minutes, our dinner came to the table. The food came out nice and hot and as ordered. The entrées also came with bread, so I got banana nut bread and my mom got dinner rolls. The turkey and dressing was really good, along with the sides. It definitely hit the spot for me that evening. My mom had the pot roast dinner. She also noted that it was good too, but the only issue she had was that the pot roast was very salty. My niece had the bacon cheeseburger, and she really liked that as well. All in all, this was a good experience, so we came back the following morning for breakfast. When we came in the following morning, they weren't too busy at the time. We had gotten there a little after 8 am. After being greeted when we came in, we were immediately seated and our server Judy came to the table to introduce herself and ask for drink orders. After she came back with the drinks, we were ready to order. My mom and I both ended up getting the same thing, which was the French Toast Breakfast with bacon as the meat of choice. My niece got the Fresh Berry Farmer's Choice breakfast with hash browns, eggs, and bacon. In less than ten minutes after ordering, the breakfast entrées came out to the table. Just like dinner the night before, the food came out hot and exactly as ordered. The French Toast was really good. It was fluffy and easy to eat. The bacon was really good too and had a nice crispness to them. My mom had a similar experience. My niece really liked what she got. She has always been into pancakes. Of course, she went through the sides pretty good too. Overall, on both visits, we had a very good experience here. Service was on point and the food came out timely, as ordered, and hot. I could see that they were all on point in both visits. If I end up stopping into this area again in the future, I would definitely look to come back here again. There is something for everyone here, so if you happen to be in this area, you should also look to come here to eat too.

We stopped here on our way to Orlando Florida. We were very excited because it had been years since we've eaten at Bob Evans. The nearest one to us closed years ago. I really enjoyed the strawberry pancakes. My son and husband had the traditional breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausage and potatoes. We had a great experience.

    My eggs and bacon.

The pork chop looked good, but it didn't seem seasoned, and there wasn't enough gravy on it to really be considered smothered. My husband's soda also had a strange aftertaste, which wasn't pleasant. That tater tots Tasted like they were cooked in fresh oil and the bacon was amazing. A friend ordered the same except with home fries and a hot cake. Apple Maps struggled to provided proper directions to parking and it might be because the area is under construction so just give yourself time to find Loosey's especially if going for dinner. It sure is worth the effort though, especially if you get Matthew as your server. He is full of wit and great local knowledge. He charmed our table from our first encounter. Loosey's has to be a local favorite because the quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. Matthew is a local treasure and made our experience there so memorable and fun. We all remarked that it must be so electric there when live music is on stage or it's a Gator game day. We started with the loaded potato skins. There were 5 large pieces that were covered with toppings and delivered pipping hot. I could easily order that as a meal next time I'm in town. Their house ranch dipping sauce that is drizzled on top was delicious. Several in our group ordered the Chic-fil Loosey's, which is a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, but I wasn't able to grab a photo as they were so eager to get started eating it. The portion of chicken breast was extremely large and the batter was perfectly crispy. Both diners exclaimed it was one of their all- time favorite chicken sandwiches they had ever eaten. Another diner took advantage of their wing special and exclaimed the Buffalo Garlic sauce was fantastic and she paired them with their ranch as well. She loved their added touch of the small paper basket topping the plate of wings for the bones. I had the Classic Beef Burger and it was cooked perfectly. There was a nice peppery flavor to the grill of the burger and the patty size was more than I expected. Especially for the price. I was so happy we found Loosey's. It was really good food. I encourage you to look past the construction mess and the "old wooden bar" stereotypes and trust me when o say, they take great pride on preparing high quality food.

I tried to shake it off and wound up with a layer of salt on my plate. Most restaurant food is too salty for me as I cook at home low salt but this was crazy. I decided to try the Mac and cheese. It also had a cap of salt on it. I tried to dig to the bottom of the crock thinking that wouldn't be salty but I was wrong. The dish was prepared with salt throughout. Time to go and I did complain. The waitress said she hears that a lot and she offered to replace our meal to go but we didn't take her up on that offer. The fish was great! And we loved the vibe of the restaurant inside and out. The place is located in a shopping plaza; not a lot of room (only about 5 or 6 tables); quite a few people came in to pick up orders. My friend had "melt in your mouth" bbq ribs with potato salad and collard greens. The folks seated next to us, with whom we started a conversation, ordered pulled pork, collard greens, and potato salad and fried chicken, yams, and collard greens. We all enjoyed our meals, except I wasn't too crazy about the fried plantains - they were cooked a bit too "crispy" for me and they weren't "juicy." Note, the person at the cash register was very pleasant, super nice and accommodating. The only downfall was that several pesky flies were flying around, and we had to ensure they didn't land on our food! (Hopefully, they were only in the dining area).
