I ordered the wrangler breakfast and in the special instructions I said eggs, cheese, and green onions on side because I don't like my eggs on top of the sausage gravy. I get there to pick up and the cheese and green onions were on side but eggs were right on top of sausage gravy. I brought it back in and the blonde girl working had an attitude and went to get the manager and even stated we don't do modifications on that dish. Well the manager did remake it without issue however, if I am the paying customer and I don't want something a certain way and state that when ordering I will be mad that now I have to wait for it to be corrected. So went at lunchtime, about 12:15.. it was busy, approximately 20 min wait. No worries, we weren't in a rush. The restaraunt was short staffed, hostess was called in from her day off, she was awesome!!! Poor girl was busting her butt! She was hostessing, cashiering and waiting tables!!!! She did this all with a smile on her face and a superbly positive attitude!!!!! We were sat after the 20 minutes our server was polite and friendly and our food came out hot and delicious!!!!! The omelet was dry and the "three meats" were unrecognizable based on the description. The coffee was weak and it cost over $3 a cup - but was refilled one time at the END of the meal. I haven't had a bad meal from here. In the past, I've only had breakfast at this Bob Evans. It's not "great" but it's good American food. I ordered the pot roast family meal to go last Friday. Very tasty. For two of us, it lasts about 2-3 days. One comment on that -- can you add the option of changing the number of dinner rolls and cookies? 12 is a lot, even for 4-6 in my opinion. But the ability to change the number or even eliminate them from the order would be great. 4 large cookies are okay, but again, the ability to eliminate them from the order would be nice. read more

Not good. It took 45 minutes from when I sat down until I got my Country Biscuit Breakfast. The food also tasted strange, as if the grill hadn't been cleaned. There were 2 servers for the entire restaurant. This is a chronic problem with Bob Evans restaurants. You gotta wonder how much of it is an employee problem and how much is a management/corporate problem. I certainly would not recommend this specific Bob Evans to anyone. Addendum: I read some of the previous reviews and some are very good, but there are many more bad reviews. In the restaurant business, every once in a while, a blind squirrel finds a nut. There will be times when they have a good manager on duty, the best cook is working, and they are fully staffed. During those times, people will be happy and leave good reviews. The amount of terrible reviews tell the real story here. This place has real problems that need addressed. Until these reviews turn around and become mostly positive, you'd be best to avoid this restaurant. read more

Terrible service!! Lorain took three orders before taking ours, we sat for 30 minutes before our order was even taken. They only had 8 tables !! I can't even leave a star rating we will not be back at least to the Saginaw restaurant. My husband is a business man and was on the phone for 1 minute and she claimed that was the reason she didn't wait on us. We were having interior work done in the house so we decided to go to Bob Evans for supper. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server approached and asked what we'd be drinking and brought our drinks. A few minutes later she took our orders. I order the Atlantic Cod dinner which included two sides. I asked for French fries and upgraded to a house salad (.50 extra). Generally I like their salads, because they have a variety of veggies rather than just lettuce and a couple of tomato slices. The only draw back are the croutons. They are hard like jaw breakers. Both the French fries and the cod were fried too long. The French fries were beyond crispy and the batter on the fish didn't enhance it but only served to encase the fish as if it were in its own cocoon. Once you broke into the cocoon the fish was pasty and tasteless. It was like the frozen filet had been dropped directly into the hot oil. No lemon was available to help. Moral of the story, don't order fish in a breakfast joint. read more

Terrible customer service from the manager Kayla on Saturday February 19, 2022. I placed an order on the Bob Evans website for delivery. I paid for my large order including delivery fee service fee and tip. The delivery person Dwayne M didn't deliver the food to my house. When I called the restaurant, Kayla was rude and just said you have to call door dash. Excuse me, I ordered from Bob Evans not through door dash. Dwayne M should pay for his screw up. We had one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. This was a lunch for 6 people. When the dust settled, two of our party of six never got their food, as things were run so badly that they gave up and cancelled their orders. We had everything from items not available (no cole slaw??!!) to wrong orders taken, to long delays from the kitchen. The waitress continued to apologize. On a more general note, this restaurant chain offers lovely photos of their food on the menu (and great photography in their TV ads), but what we actually received was very disappointing. Bread seems to be the theme here. Rolls and biscuits were offered aplenty. Aside from pretty good biscuits, everything else was disappointing. For instance, my cheese sandwich was mostly bread with a pool of melted cheese in the middle. My wife's country fried steak was mediocre, offered veggies (for the missing cole slaw) were seriously undercooked. And the list goes on... Oh yes, a final note regarding payment. The manager (?) walked each of us through using their credit card terminal, with a strong push to put on a tip from their entry menu (which has no place for $0). Now we did leave a tip, as our waitress did try in spite of several mistakes, but I don't like to be pushed by a restaurant to up the amount of the tip. read more

We were a party of 10 for breakfast at Bob Evans Store #175, Saginaw, Michigan...After getting seated after waiting for a total of almost 30 minutes, the waitress brought out coffees and water. What seemed like an eternity, I asked for the progress of our orders. No definite response was given. Well after another 35-40 minutes, I went up to the Restaurant Manager, not sure of her name but an older lady with short curly hair and told her we hadn't heard anything about our order. I told her I understood we were a big party but we hadn't heard anything in the whole time we were waiting. She said they weren't set up for big party's like that but I explained we've been waiting over 35 minutes. That's all I got from her. Also important to point out is that their were party's of 5, 6 and eight coming in after us who had been already served while we were still waiting. My wife who is diabetic, went up to this same Manager and explained that there were 2 diabetics at the table as well and her response was, "well you can ask the waitress to bring yous orange juice". Really? I received bad service before but never from a Bob Evans and in this capacity. A formal letter of complaint was sent to the Corporate Headquarters and I certainly hope no one else has to tolerate such nonsense. I will be pursuing this matter more from Corporate. read more

Seems like we get burned every time we come here. Today was no exception. Got here about 11 and we both ordered breakfast. The "Rise and Shine" to be exact. For drinks we both ordered a glass of milk and water. The waitress brought the milks but they were both sour. I tried to get her attention to tell her but she was too busy chatting with a friend of hers sitting in a booth across from us. When we finally got a chance to tell her about the milk, instead of "I'm sorry. What can I do to make it right?" she retorted "Well, I checked the expiration date on the carton". She asked my significant other what she wanted but treated me like I was invisible and took off. She came back to our area after a considerable wait, again took up her chatting with her friend, and finally came over to our table. I'm not sure what my GF said to her but she was ready to take off again before I stopped her and said "Aren't you gonna ask me what I'd like to drink?!" Again, no apology, just an "Of course. What would you like?" After awhile, the food and drinks were served. I ordered eggs over medium but I got one egg over medium and the other was hard. Once again, very disappointing experience. Negative stars!!!! This place is disgusting! I have given them way too many chances and now I'm officially done. My daughter and I decided to go to breakfast and my first instinct was to go to Tony's and you know what they say about first instincts. We both order hash browns and eggs which took close to 30 minutes to arrive and SURPRISE!!!! They were cold. So the nice waitress takes them back and ten minutes later the plates are extremely hot so we all know what that means....microwaved! Just had the poorest service ever! Stopped in for dinner at 5:15 , went in side and was asked by the hostess how many and told her two. Restaurant was virtually empty but the hostess asked for our name. I gave it to her and she walked away( thought she was going to get us a table) and went behind the counter and stood there. I asked her if she was going to seat us. She informed me " when there is a table available".Three quarters of the tables were empty and I brought that to her attention. She informed me one side was closed and we had to wait for a table. I looked and there were 9 empty tables on the other side clean and available . I said it's dinner time and tables were open but was ignored. I informed her of this is how customers are treated we'll go elsewhere. She made no apology, didn't say "wait a minute" made no attempt to get our business, just watched us go out the door. This is the second time this month we had issues with service here( should have learned my lesson after the last time) And we'll never go back. Save your money and go elsewhere. Stopped in here for breakfast after working 3rd shift, shortly after they had opened. My husband & I were the first customers of the day. I ordered the steak & eggs, he had the biscuits & gravy. Food was delicious, however, the service was a big turn off. While ordering, the waitress glossed over both our drink options, and our side options. Then, when she brought our food out, she returned to the kitchen area, and her & the cook loudly, and rudely cracked jokes about how I had ordered my steak cooked rare. We were the only two customers in the restaurant, and it we could clearly hear them, plain as day. It is a HUGE turn off to try to enjoy your meal, while listening to the people serving it to you making fun of how you prefer your food cooked. On the bright side, at least he cooked it correctly, which is more than I can say for a lot of restaurants. Five stars for their breakfast menu (NOT the bland lunch/dinner menu!)
