So glad I stopped here on 5/5/21 because it was something I've been wanting for so long! A good pancake breakfast! Came here right when they opened at 7am right after work. I already knew I wanted pancakes and so I got there new meal that comes with fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce, whipped cream and the usual suspects has browns, turkey sausage (I don't eat the swine) and scrambled with with cheese. Only had some water to drink because I had already stopped at Wawa for some coffee...lol. Breakfast was so good but I had gotten full after a few bites and took the rest home to eat later. So glad I stopped by and gave them another try. It's been a few years since I had but it won't be my last for sure!

I must have gotten here on a good day because my food was delish, fresh, and hot. I got the banana berry pancakes. They were soft and flavorful. My one gripe is that the berries were in the middle of the pancake, but still tasty.. (ok one more, they were stingy with the bananas too) (ok one more, the coffee was weak) BUT the bacon was crispy. Everything was tasty. Definitely coming back.

The owners had a bright and friendly disposition with every single person that came in, and for those they knew, they took the time to interact with them. The sandwich I had was good too, which made this experience even better. After some thought, I had to downgrade this to a 3. This place is dirty. We arrived to the restaurant received a text our table was ready. We walked to the hostess station and were told, sorry, she is looking for a table for you. Then why the text? We ordered our food, the salmon Benedict's were below par in my opinion. There was not much salmon on there at all. One egg was hard boiled the other was soft boiled. They had no taste. It said it came with a side of greens instead I received a bunch of over salted cubed potatoes. They were cooked the way I like them crispy and golden brown. The coffee tasted burnt. The side biscuits we ordered were really good. Flaky on the outside and warm and fluffy inside. Two people in my party ordered a bowl, right now I just remember it had beans, red sauce and tortillas. The comments were, soggy tortillas and no taste. The other person ordered the biscuits and gravy. She said the texture of the gravy was like jello. Our waitress Helen did not check on us, had she checked on us she would have noticed we did not get our order of French toast we had also asked for. When she finally did bring the bill that's when we asked for more water, for her to remove the French toast and for a to go box. The restaurant is really packed in tight. The front waiting area to all the back to the seating. You're sitting on top of each other and it's very loud. They do have a QR code you can use to look at the menu items and pay your bill. I scanned the QR code to pay the bill and it was already figured in at 20% tip. 18, 20 and 30. The parking lot is hard to get around with all the cars and people. I just expected more from the reviews and ratings.

The Woodbridge Silver Dinner is a very busy place today. The ambience and moods seem to be running on happy high octane. The sounds of meals being prepared along with the smells are mouth watering. Evidently, I must be hungry. Upon being shown to our table by a young lady with short hair, we learned from the lady which specials are available for brunch. The lady reminded me of Rhea Ripley. Someone I vaguely remember seeing before I stopped watching WWE. Now she is very popular and I see how she looks now. The lady who seated us remind me of a young Rhea Ripley, but with the short black hair and a bit of the gothic vibe. All of these passed through my head as our host was talking to us. I think this host lady will be making it big very soon. Our server's name is David, but he likes to go by the name DJ. DJ took our orders and the were brought to us pretty quickly. I appreciate DJ informing us that the Rootbeer I would have ordered was flat. The soda machine appeared to be out of the C02...or something else all together. I ended up sticking with good old H20. I ordered the Belgian Waffle&Eggs. Since I do not eat eggs, I substituted the eggs for the new menu item called Home Fries with Caramelized Onions. My wife ordered the French Toast and Eggs with an order of Home Fries with Caramelized Onions, as well. The food was delicious as it almost always is. We saw and heard DJ talking to other guests in his high friendly energy he puts out. Unfortunately, one customer didn't seem to be enjoying himself and got loud and rude with DJ and a customer. Things could have ugly, but they didn't. Cooler heads prevailed dispite Rude Boy taking his anger out on other customers. Whether or not his wife, girlfriend or sister was embarrassed by his rude boy manners, Rihanna's message of the Rude Boy song needs to be upgraded...without the sexual innuendos to her. The other option, "Everything He Owns In A Box To The Left." I am digressing. Back to the subject at hand. DJ is a grown man and handled Rude Boy's remarks and fixed the issue. DJ apologize to his guests for the Rude Boys outbursts. Just another day at Silver Dinner if you don't let rude remarks hit you/bother you like a bat out of hell. The staff members seem pretty down to earth and they all worked together to get food out to the guests. Yes, mistakes can happen, but it's how the problem(s) are handled. We will definitely be back.

Even though it was pretty busy, we were seated immediately, and I was especially grateful to be seated in a quieter corner where the tables were more to the side instead of directly behind us. It was a stressful moment because my autistic son was having a really hard time and was clearly overwhelmed. Our server was wonderful, but the manager, Joy, was truly an angel sent at the perfect time. Not only did she remember our family from a previous visit, but after we explained that our son is autistic and was struggling in the moment, she immediately went to the back and returned with markers, paper, gemstone stickers, a timer, and more -- almost like she was fully prepared for children with sensory needs. I honestly can't express how much that meant to us. Her timing couldn't have been better, and we will forever be grateful for her kindness and compassion. On top of that, when my food came out, my steak wasn't cooked the way I requested. I honestly wasn't even planning to say anything, but Joy noticed I wasn't eating it and asked how I had ordered it cooked. When I explained, she kindly offered to remove it from the check. Managers like Joy are rare and so deeply appreciated. The food was great, but truthfully, Joy is what made this experience unforgettable. You can tell she's not only an amazing manager, but also a genuinely good person with a caring heart. Thank you, Joy, for making such a lasting impression on our family. The Spot at Belmont Bay is officially our new brunch problem!!!…read more We went to The Spot at Belmont Bay this past Sunday for brunch, and I'm just going to say it: this is the best brunch in the area. Not "pretty good for Woodbridge." Not "solid little neighborhood spot." I mean clear-your-calendar-because-you're-going-back good. We ordered the Breakfast Board for Two, and it was exactly what brunch should be: generous, fun, shareable, and absolutely loaded. Eggs, bacon, house-made sausage, smashed potatoes, Belgian waffles, biscuit, gravy (so good), fresh fruit, Greek parfait, and pastries of the day all showed up on one board like brunch had assembled the Avengers. And here's what makes it even better: everything is made from scratch. You can taste it. Even the sausage is made in-house, which explains why it stood out so much. The smashed potatoes were seasoned beautifully, the scrambled eggs were fluffy, the bacon had that perfect crispy edge, and the waffles were golden with just enough crunch. The biscuit was soft and buttery, and the cinnamon roll situation on the side had absolutely zero interest in helping anyone make responsible decisions. Respect. But the absolute star of the show was the spicy Bloody Mary. Best Bloody Mary I've ever had. Full stop. It had real zip, great spice, and that pickle salt rim took it completely over the top. Salty, briny, spicy, savory, it hit every note. Add the crispy bacon and lemon garnish = forget about it!! The drink menu is no joke either. They've got mimosa carafes, mimosa flights, sangria, margarita flights, brunch cocktails, dirty sodas, coffee drinks - basically, The Spot looked at brunch beverages and said, "Yes. All of it." We also had a mimosa, and it was bright, fresh, and exactly what you want sitting next to a big brunch board. We also had the chance to meet the owners, and they were fantastic. Warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they're building. That makes such a difference. You can tell when a place has real people behind it who care about the food, the service, and the vibe. The Spot absolutely has that. I liked it so much that I'm already going back for their bourbon tasting Saturday night, and then again for their Father's Day brunch on Sunday. Great food, great drinks, great owners, great atmosphere, and scratch-made brunch that actually delivers. The Spot at Belmont Bay is a winner. It came with two slices of French toast with just the right touch of spices, home fries, and homemade sausage patties (way better than the greasy commercial ones!). I also ordered a plain latte, which was excellent. No notes. My mom (who is 82 and VERY particular) ordered the "Uncle Richard" plate that came with two eggs, choice of meat (ham), home fries, and choice of pancakes or French toast (she chose pancakes). She also reported everything was delicious. ("Although I would rather have hash browns." Sigh. It's always something, ain't it?) She also ordered plain coffee. For someone who does not like to deviate from DD Keurig coffee, she thought the coffee was "Very good!" Widewater Grille gets its Cuban beans directly from Key West. Mom also reported the Women's Restroom was very nice. So there's that for your consideration. We will definitely be going back. I had Uncle Richard's Breakfast with eggs, green peppers and onions, bacon, home-fried potatoes, and French toast. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The home fries tasted truly homemade, which is harder to find than you'd think. The coffee was excellent, served in a real mug, and I loved being able to refill it myself. My fiancé ordered the 12-ounce strip steak cooked medium, and he hasn't stopped talking about it. He said it was cooked perfectly, which is something even many chain restaurants struggle to get right. What really stood out was the atmosphere. The service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The restaurant has that local, family-run feel that immediately makes you comfortable. As a retired Marine family, we also appreciated the Marine Corps traditions and military pride displayed throughout the restaurant. Great food, great service, great conversation, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!
