Ate here for lunch. Place was busy but not slammed. The food came quickly, and was tasty. Good meal for the price, $20 for the two of us, and I got a full meal rather than soup and a half a sandwich. The only downside was the service, which was fairly fast but spotty. First, our waitress brought the wrong meal for me, I ordered wildfire chicken and got chicken without the wildfire sauce. In fact, she seemed to not know what wildfire sauce was, which is one of Bob Evans' signature things, like TGI Friday's bourban things. Still, it tasted good, so I kept it rather than complaining. Also ordered mashed potatoes and string beans, which were great. My wife ordered soup and a half sandwich with mayo. It came without the mayo. She asked for mayo a second time. About 15 minutes later, the waitress came by and asked how the food was. My wife said "great, except no mayo". Oops. read more

Today was extremely awful! The seating host, Juan, was not effective since only 2 of 13 tables were occupied, in the back section. Only after 30 mins of waiting and asking the host why people weren't being seated at empty tables did we finally get seated! Unacceptable!! Since I was waiting for 40 minutes, then I took time to look around and I noticed servers coming to the host area looking for new guests: attending to current guests is the best solution. The only ray of hope and peace was our server Kiki. She was friendly, attentive, and most of all welcoming. I was about to speak with the manager but she helped calm things down. Sadly I think the real problem with is there are not enough chefs or the current ones are very slow. 30 mins for breakfast to arrive is beyond pleasant. Saturday morning in busy Woodbridge area is the time to shine and have a great guest interaction. Since this is my first time here I will give it one more try. Hope it's better. read more

Beware you will not get good service here....If I can give this 0 stars I would. Went here for breakfast and had the worst service. We ordered two orange juices and received one. The waitress said she will bring the second one. Our food came and still no orange juice. We finally received our orange juice then the waitress never came back. We needed refills but didn't get any because of the lack of service. We finished our meals and waited for 20 minutes after and still no waitress. We had to go up front to ask for our check. Not sure I'll be eating at this particular restaurant again. I had French toast there on Nov 6 and couldn't finish so I took the rest home and ate the leftovers the next day. On Nov 6 - 7 I had two really bad digestive upsets and I think it was because of the French toast. I don't know if it was undercooked or if it had been cross contaminated. I reported the experience to the manager and he said that no one else had come forward with any complaints of stomach upset. Not sure if he was telling the truth or not. read more

Went there on New Years Day 2015 and had the worst experience. Was told by the hostess who seemed completely clueless that it would be a 15-20 minute wait time. No problem. We ended up waiting for over 50 minutes. We watched at least 4 groups of people walk out and the hostess completely abandoned her station. There were 10+ tables empty but dirty and no busers to clean the tables. With over 15 groups waiting. The manager was in the kitchen the entire time while people were loudly complaining. A waitress came by and started yelling at the hostess who was scared to come out from behind the register that she needed to stop ringing people out and start seating people. Problem was, there were no clean tables to sit people... The manager finally came out to do his job. They say is at an unset table. After ordering we watched more people waiting to be sat for long periods of time while dirty tables sat unoccupied for 15 minutes or more. I also watched our food sit in the window for 10 minutes until finally another waitress brought out our food. Once the food was on the table no one ever came back. We had to go to the counter to ask for the check. Absolutely horrible service. I have no idea how they are still in business. It should be noted that the only reason we stayed was because most places were closed and we were staying at a near by hotel. The manager with the goatee should be fired. He has no clue how to run a restaurant. I was in the service industry for 20+ years and can only say that the owner lost out on so much money from the amount of walk outs and complaints that day. He let me sample the bread and helped me out with the menu.I've never been here, let alone heard of Bob Evans. Based on past reviews, its not the best. Went to have dinner and thought that Bob Evan's would be a great place as my significant other and myself are sick and Bob Evan's soup always did the trick. We arrived at around 7 PM and ordered. We ordered the dinner bell special with the added on soup and dessert. The food arrived around 45 minutes later without the soup. We start eating the entree as we have been waiting for a while, and the only thing hot between our entrees was my fried cornmeal mush. We then have our server Quiana come to us and tell us that all but one cup of chicken noodle soup are out. After making some alternative choices, we have a manager come out and tell us that they would make a fresh batch of soup for us and that it will be out in 5 minutes. They bring us our soup, and my soup was extremely cold for being "fresh". At that point, I was extremely disappointed and just wanted to leave. We finish our meal, paid the bill, and left. I usually frequent the Bob Evan's in Springfield, and this is such a stark difference in quality and service. I don't think I will be returning here ever again. In fact, this makes me question returning to a Bob Evan ever since the one in Springfield is so far. read more

Dinner and a show Came in to eat breakfast today, saw that the bar was empty and I was happy about it...until....I sat there and had to listen to Jeanna on a tirade about her coworker Pat...."best just keep her away from me" she told her Manager Keith which he didn't reply. So through out my breakfast, Jeanna is going on and on with a coworker, Ganesha, just being unpleasant about Pat; with Manager Keith within ear shot. At one point she said something about smothering her with a pillow! All the while I'm watching Pat, very sweet woman, great personality, smiling and just not letting any of this bother her one bit. She wasn't my my server, but she would check up on me while serving other patrons. Jeanna and Ganesha, in my opinion should be happy that they have a job, suck it up, put a smile on their face OR QUIT! If your not happy with your job in the food industry PLEASE keep it away from the patrons! On the good side, the food was awesome, everything was at the proper temperature and cooked perfectly. The chefs were working diligently keeping up with all the orders. I'll be back, maybe not to this location, but if I do...I'm sitting in the back, and of course not in their sections! read more

My husband wanted something different since our usual breakfast place let us down...this place was worse. For a restaurant that was not very busy the wait was long. We were seated and it took 10 minutes to get our drinks. Our waiter didn't listen very well to our simple drink order. My husband ordered a SWEET tea and I ordered coffee. The drinks came and the coffee was give to my husband and the tea was placed in front of me but it was UNSWEET. Our order came in a fairly timely manner. The food was not aesthetically pleasing and the portions just weren't there. I ordered the Homestead Breakfast. It came with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and a bowl of sausage gravy and two biscuits. The portions were so small I ate all of it and was not completely satisfied. Our waiter never came back to check on us and when he finally stopped at the table he asked if the check was ready to be picked up. We hadn't received the check yet. After finally leaving, it was not more than 20-30 minutes that both my husband and I were running to the bathroom as our bodies quickly expelled what we ate. GROSS! This place is just completely nasty. It's a POOR POOR representation of the chain and unlike any other Bob Evans I've ever been to in the past. The server working there seemed dazed or out of it and sat us in a pig pen. The tables were completely filthy. Most were covered in dishes and it was as if they hadn't cleared the breakfast rush dishes at 5 in the evening! The floors were completely dirty with food everywhere on every surface. Our waitress who appeared so tired she took a seat to take our order had so much metal in her face, you couldn't understand her. This is not to mention the fact she had marijuana socks on. Isn't this supposed to be a family chain?! The men's restroom looked like someone vomited on the floor and that had been left. The manager who seemed overwhelmed was nice and took 20% off. This doesn't make up for this place and as I said it's a poor excuse to the Bob Evans I've been to before. AVOID AVOID AVOID! read more

Best breakfast food in Woodbridge as made evident by the wait on the weekends. The weekend staff is friendly and quick. Through the week however the service leaves alot to be desired. The lesser experienced crew working in the evenings seems to be bothered by customers. In short: the food is always good but the service is a toss up. read more

When I sat down at the counter during a relatively slow hour, there were dishes still on the counter from previous people and the floors were absolutely disgusting. I asked to speak with a manager to see if cleanliness was valued because the food coming from the kitchen was in close proximity to the filthy kitchen. Billie, the manager, was pretty rude and gave me excuses on why the kitchen was dirty. 30 min later, it still wasn't clean. Now I don't know about you, but I have a problem with my food coming from a nasty kitchen along with a manager with a nasty attitude. read more

The service in this restaurant is absolutely terrible. I put in an order online to avoid having to wait forever for my carry-out order. I drive over, get there when the order is supposed to be ready and nothing. I paid for the order and again nothing. So 20 minutes later I'd had enough. I canceled the order and then had to spend another 5 minutes watching the assistant manager try to put the charges back on my credit card. I'm not entirely sure he even did that since I never got a reciept and he didn't know how to get one out of the register. You would be better served to go around the corner to the Bob Evans in Noblewood plaza (which I did) the service there is quick, and the people competent. ZERO STARS!!! read more

Service was mediocre, food was okay and the power went out as soon as we got our meals. Staff literally started cheering as they were all so amped to leave early, and several did just that within minutes. We didn't see our waitress again until we sat and waited forever after eating in the dark. I'm just glad I had cash to pay as they were writing down credit card numbers and personal info for people paying by credit. We have always eaten at the Bob Evans in Manassas and have enjoyed it very much. Today on our way to BJ's we went to the restaurant in Woodbridge. Upon entering, the place did not appear to be as clean and the staff not as efficient. We were seated and ordered. Our waitress laid the wrapped silverware on our table. As I opened each set, I noticed they were all dirty, with food still stuck to the knives and forks. I told the waitress, she apologized and brought 5 more sets to the table. Each set was dirty just like the first batch. I was a little upset and told the waitress and asked her to please inform the manager of this. She apologized again and brought us wrapped plastic utensils. The manager never came to our table to apologize or to address the situation. I know things happen, but to have 10 sets of silverware all dirty??? There has to be some health code violations here. Additionally, the food was not good and the restrooms were dirty. Stopped to eat with family while traveling. They weren't very busy (about 8:00pm) and it looked like waitresses were behind the county prepping silverware, etc. so I was surprised when we had to wait to be greeted and then wait another 5 minutes to clean off a table for us to sit at. Our waitress, who obviously was new and inexperienced, (well at least I hope that was the problem), was nervous, confused and between spilling a drink everywhere, (yeah, sh** happens), couldn't remember to refill drinks, kept forgetting to bring things we requested and overall just didn't make our dining experience a relaxing one. Our food took forever to come, (They ran out of chicken), but at least was good and edible. Another gentleman, I don't know if he was regular staff or a manager eventually came over to talk to us and was more personable. Luckily I'm not the type to trash a waitress for having a bad night and my family is good about having fun no matter our situation so after writing the waitress a note with some tips on how to improve and leaving her a decent tip for incentive we left. I don't believe I will chance returning to see if she received further training and has improved. Slow service during non-busy hours, lack of staff training seem to be a huge problem at this location. I had never dined at a Bob Evens before and only did so because my sister always raves about this restaurant chain, let's just say I wasn't impressed and now have more ammunition to tease her with and as a little sister this is gold so that is why the two star rating. read more

We always come here a lot weekdays but got turned off because the server Tika is LOUD!! We sit far from the kitchen but we can still hear her laughing loud, yelling, etc. The customers next table said they come to enjoy a nice dinner after work but her loud yelling and hollering is jarring. We agree. So we go to IHOP on weekdays instead. read more

Bob Evans has long been a favorite of mine for breakfast. Today, I had a late breakfast, about 1 PM, so there was no waiting for a table. The service was fine. Coffee, very good. Biscuits, fresh and tasty. My western omelette was a bit overdone, but acceptable. The home fries were so grease laden as to be inedible. My wife, who was in the food service business for years, refuses to set foot in the place because the food upsets her stomach. I'll probably be joining her by avoiding this Bob Evans in the future. read more

I stopped after work. The place was empty. Maybe 3 other tables seated. I waited a while before some one came to seat me. I noticed at least 4 dirty tables just walking to mine. I waited awhile longer for a server. I placed my order. I did receive my drink promptly. I did not get my soup. I really just wanted the soup but order an entree also. After awhile my server came to ask how I wanted my steak. Which was odd since I did not order steak. After asking for a menu I showed my server what I ordered. After a bit he came back and placed a plate at my table and walked away. It was not what I ordered. I again asked for a menu and read him the description of my order from the menu. Up to this time I had been there maybe a half hour. I looked around. The manager was on the phone. The servers were MIA and the tables were still dirty. I am not one to leave a restaurant after I've ordered but I had enough. My wrong order was still on the table when I went to pay for my ice tea. read more

This was my first time eating here and everything about the experience was horrible. First standing outside and waiting to be called I had to ask the gentlemen to call the name over the loudspeaker more than once, which j assumed was the usual protocol but apparently it isn't and the loudspeaker was muffled by the wind. Next it seemed like the manager and waitress was overwhelmed which clearly made it clear to me why they appeared to be a it abrasive. The order came out cold and wrong with two iterations of extremely weak coffee. We had to get the attention of another waitress to ask for clean cups since our waitress seemed to have forgot we were there. The waitress did try to make the ore deal better at the end by reducing the check however by this point frustration was well set in. As for me and my military group I will strongly discourage anyone from patronizing this resturant especially on days when we the military should be honored. Enjoyed the experience. Came in at 625am and there was no host at front. Within 2 mins a waitress notice me and let me know she would be right with me. I asked to sit at the breakfast bar and she said ok, came over and set me up. I got a cup of coffee and proceeded to scour the menu. The waitress who was working alone manning multiple stations gave me some quick feed back on some of the menu items. I settled on the Country Breakfast and Blueberry crepe. A few minutes later i was greeted by the manager who welcomed me and shook my hand. Very pleased with his interaction. When my food came it looked great. I noticed a small piece of hair in my eggs and immediately showed the manager who was walking by. He apologized took the plate away and had it remade right away. I noticed the cook through the window had in appropriate sanitary garments, head cover, etc., so was not concerned. The Crepe was amazing and the food came out perfectly followed by continued interaction from the manager and Server (Brenda). I work in the customer service world and I generally do not expect perfection l but I do expect responsiveness and a people first attitude. They aced both and the food was very good.
