Yesterday, my husband and I decided to go to Silver Diner. My children absolutely love the restaurant, and the service is always great. Even though it was pretty busy, we were seated immediately, and I was especially grateful to be seated in a quieter corner where the tables were more to the side instead of directly behind us. It was a stressful moment because my autistic son was having a really hard time and was clearly overwhelmed. Our server was wonderful, but the manager, Joy, was truly an angel sent at the perfect time. Not only did she remember our family from a previous visit, but after we explained that our son is autistic and was struggling in the moment, she immediately went to the back and returned with markers, paper, gemstone stickers, a timer, and more -- almost like she was fully prepared for children with sensory needs. I honestly can't express how much that meant to us. Her timing couldn't have been better, and we will forever be grateful for her kindness and compassion. On top of that, when my food came out, my steak wasn't cooked the way I requested. I honestly wasn't even planning to say anything, but Joy noticed I wasn't eating it and asked how I had ordered it cooked. When I explained, she kindly offered to remove it from the check. Managers like Joy are rare and so deeply appreciated. The food was great, but truthfully, Joy is what made this experience unforgettable. You can tell she's not only an amazing manager, but also a genuinely good person with a caring heart. Thank you, Joy, for making such a lasting impression on our family. Ok, we are regulars here! The food and service is just fantastic! We continue to find seating at the counter the quickest way to be seated if they are busy. Case in point... Mother's Day was super crowded but we were able to quickly get seats at the counter. Plus at the counter there are several servers walking by that will help if you need anything. Big kudos to Theresa and Sarah who are always attentive and super friendly. Our favorites have been the Western omelette with pepper jack cheese. The fresh ingredients, including onions and bell peppers are just delicious. Definitely get the biscuit and home fries. We think the biscuits are made at the diner. The crab melt is another favorite. It's well balanced with the filling and crab. You will not go wrong with this dish. read more

My experience was so amazing! Haven't been here in years and they have upgraded so much and the customer service experience was Ahhhmazin! Food was Ahhmazing and fresh and I really enjoyed it and ended going back 2 days later at night food was fresh eggs just thrown together with ripped cheese Waiter was nice and friendly manager was helpful! Sossa Sossy was my waitress and she is such a darling! And really interacted with me and asked if I have been before she went over and beyond to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed! The "silver" diner was very shiny outside and inside. I really enjoyed that part of the experience. It was so clean. There's a small jukebox box machine at the table. That was a serious blast from the past. We got in 45 minutes before close and were served quickly. My medium well steak was still a little pink inside. However, it wasn't bleeding and was so tender. I can't complain. While the Brussels sprouts look unimpressive they tasted great! I didn't care for the crunchy onions or the garlic spinach really. Something of note was that, when I asked for substitutions, there was no hesitation. I've experienced at other restaurants this can really be an issue. There were lots of good menu choices. I will visit again. I held back a star because, while we got in under the wire, other customer was turned away at 20 minutes before close by one individual then someone else came much closer to close and a different employee welcomed them in. I was in a hurry today and solo so Sat at the bar today to get in and out quickly! Was greeted fast and food was out in like 5-10 min! Sitting at the bar is interesting you become almost part of the diner inherent chaos (the charm of a diner) . The teamwork if getting food out fast was fun to watch real time. I've been a few times, the food never tastes the same. My last visit I really enjoyed my food and the customer service was amazing. This time I wasn't given butter or syrup with my meal. I also asked for hot sauce and didn't get it. I had to wait several minutes before getting someone's attention who did give me the items needed right away and asked if we needed anything else. What really set it apart was the tender, delicious short rib nestled right in the middle. Our server was Doreen, and she was a doll! Just so sweet and attentive! We will always be happy to sit in her section any day. The parking lot was mostly full and DH had to drive around to find a parking space. This was an indication of what the inside might look like. So I went inside to get a table or join the waiting list while DH found a parking space. There were 2 people talking and I heard the guy tell the girl to ask how she could help me before he walked away, but she didn't acknowledge me. Instead she walked away, too. Another guy (he was super tall) came up to me and asked if I had been helped and I told him that I had not been. He grabbed 2 menus and I was seated immediately. Doreen greeted me and grabbed some waters. DH found our table and we looked over the menu. Doreen came and she checked on us several times while we decided what to order. When we finally ordered, DH and I sat and chatted. We noticed some of the AC vents were dripping on the tables as people were either eating or being sat to eat. Some customers were requesting to move to different tables and employees were wiping the condensation off the vents. The restaurant felt cool, but I overheard an employee say something about the weather being so hot and it being cooler inside, or something along those lines, and this was making the vents drip. I have no idea, but it was unfortunate for those tables. I did notice the music was definitely didn't match the jukebox music. The music playing was much more current. The music from the jukeboxes give the place a different feel. No big deal, the music was still good. Anyway, our food came out and it was delicious. The eggs were on point and the biscuit was the best part! Just - bit crunchy on the outside when you took a bite. There was a sweet taste to it, like honey. Maybe it was spread on top? But it was nicely done. The roasted home fries were pretty good, but they were a little cold. (They weren't terrible.) The bacon was somewhere between crispy and soggy. I prefer crispy and maybe I should have asked for that, but I didn't. I ate them anyway. Overall, the experience was pretty good. We would go back and hope to be seated in Doreen's section. While in town we had a craving for diner food. It was rainy day and I wanted meatloaf. We walked into Silver Diner and we were pleasantly greeted after walking by the wall that shows all the great employees of the month. We were seated quickly and our order was taken by Doreen who was patient and explained our options to us. She even custom ordered a fruit bowl for us since we didn't want an açaí bowl. I had my meatloaf with mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables and my man had the turkey with sourdough bread, mashed potatoes, veggies and cranberry, orange and ginger sauce. Both were tasty and fresh as they partner with local markets for produce. While there I saw massive waffles and pancakes being served which looked very appetizing so we will try that next time. My waitress Sarah was just an absolute doll start to finish. As far as the food taste and service went, they were kind and welcoming.
