So giving this 3 I dont want people to think it's a bad place. It a solid place but few things to mention. I only checked it out because it's near by my home. It kind of run down looking which kind of sucks haha and its now easy to spot I just happen to find out about it because I went to the mechanic shop next door. Me and my wife decided to try to and it's not bad! it nice that a mom and pop shop exist and we need more of these. The prices were fine I think but the vibes were not it haha. I wish the remodeled it or something to make this place popping. I will for sure be back buttttt not a place persay I am craving to go back to. But the service was great. If you blink you'll miss it. It really doesn't look like much from the outside, and when you go in, it's...different. Some plants, some fish, a plant in a fish tank...kind of weird looking. To say I was apprehensive would be correct, I wasn't sure what to expect. As I sat,ate, and hung out, I got to see the interaction between the owners and the partons. This is the neighborhood cafe that has and takes care of its regulars. The owners had a bright and friendly disposition with every single person that came in, and for those they knew, they took the time to interact with them. The sandwich I had was good too, which made this experience even better. After some thought, I had to downgrade this to a 3. This place is dirty. I stumbled onto the Farm Cafe while perusing Yelp. I stopped in for breakfast to check them out. Farm Cafe is located in an industrial style building. While it has a few tables inside - and a table outside - it really is a "to-go" kind of place. I did not know this before hand - so I ate in - at one of the few tables inside. The inside is not very attractive. The door was propped open when I arrived - it was rather muggy inside - so no AC. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash breakfast platter: 2 eggs (over easy), Corned Beef Hash, breakfast potatoes, and wheat toast, plus a bottle of water. I requested that the breakfast potatoes and Corned Beef Hash be "crisped" up. I was told they could not do that - not sure why not - as they make your food to order. Perhaps a communications/language issue? Paid with Apple Pay. Anyhoo - food came up fairly quickly. They call you to the counter when your order is ready. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes and Corned Beef Hash were hot (but not crispy), and the toast was toasted and buttered properly. Dropped in for breakfast while 95 was backed up during rush hour, parked near Caliber Collision due to Google so was difficult to find entrance at first. Great friendly greeting upon making it, easy simple menu and decent prices. It is located in an industrial park so kind of truck stop feeling with its older tables and fish tanks. The owner was super friendly and while eating all the customers were greeted by name with laughter and bantering which was a good vibe. There's something about family run home cooked breakfast spots that's so delicious! The prices are very reasonable and though the breakfast options aren't anything special, they're good at what they do. I ordered the Western Omelet with potatoes and it was delicious! I love to support local eats, over IHOP & Bob Evans. This was a perfectly fine breakfast, but is not a restaurant or diner by my definition. A storefront takeaway w/tables. You order from a board, food is delivered in Styrofoam clamshells or plates on tiny trays, with plastic utinsils and Styrofoam cups. Powder whitener and one sugar shaker. TVs are running, soda fridges, people loitering waiting on their to-go orders. I'm not complaining, it is what it is. I knew nothing of this place until Yelp. It's approximately 2 miles from me so I tried it mainly out of convenience. From the outside, it doesn't have any eye appeal but that's not the point of visiting anyway. The food here is typical carryout/ diner fare. Farm Cafe's breakfasts are pretty good. I've tried the French toast and pancake platters and they are quite delicious. My last visit (02 Jan 2020) I had the chicken cheesesteak with fries. The sandwich was well seasoned and the bread was very soft. The fries were served piping hot and were plentiful. While there was nothing remarkable about the meal, it did satisfy my hunger. This is definitely a locals only joint. It's next to a strip of Auto repair places off the beaten path, but worth the look if you like to take a chance on something that is not your ordinary place. Wow - what a gem for those that work nearby and are often left with few, unappetizing fast-food choices. Since the new owners took over last year - this place has uplifted my lunch choices (since I moved to this area). I've only been there for lunch - but the choices are abundant, and the food comes out fast and hearty. The prices are also pretty good - what more can you ask? SUMMARY 1. The food - they are delicious, whether you do the bulgogi platter, chicken cheeseburger, or the club sandwich - they are prepared to order and it's apparent that they use fresh ingredients. 2. The owners - are always smiling and welcoming. I think they open at 6am for breakfast but they seem to always keep their energy up and get going. 3. Parking can be a bit of a trouble - but they have a small lot in front of the cafe entrance or you can park around the corner. 4. Most lunch entrees cost (with drinks) cost about $6~$8, and seriously, if I am going to pay this much at a Taco Bell or other mediocre places, I'd go here every single day. 5. I've never had breakfast here - but the menu seems to be pretty right on - omelettes with homefries, bagel sandwiches, juices, coffee. They open at 6am so if you get here early enough, you ought to check it out. 6. Plenty of seating in the restaurant, so you can eat in if you wish. Ok, I went in this place with low expectations, but when I saw all the pictures on the wall with their loyal customers, I thought, maybe this is a yummy place to eat. After not getting acknowledged for the first 5 minutes we were there and being passed up by another customer who walked in to pay for his carry out order, I was a little displeased from the start. After being there for about 8 minutes, we finally ordered our breakfast. OK, this is the part that is making me write this review, we waited for 40 minutes for our omelettes. Is that not ridiculous?? Now, I can understand they were busy and only had 2 people working there, but he didn't say anything to me even after seeing me watching discontently with my arms crossed. Not to mention, I witnessed them starting other orders before ours, even though they ordered after us. Maybe they were regular customers, but is that how you do business?? I think not. As far as the food goes, it was a large portion, which is great, but the home fries were undercooked. I wouldn't go here again, even if it was free. Btw, he never apologized for my 40 minute wait. Edit..... So I did give them another try, it's a 2 man show here, family run by husband and wife, they pretty much get same customers daily, so they get overwhelmed pretty easily when they get a lot of call ahead orders and walk ins. I called my order in this time, I go to pick it up at the time they said and there were like 6 people waiting for their food. When I walk up to the register, he says "I'm sorry, no more orders, too busy" Lmaoooo... I was like "I already ordered", told him my order and he said I was next. Lol. Wasn't too late, but they could use a PT cashier front side employee during rush hours.
