Great Experience at Gordon Chevrolet. I had been to three previous dealers looking for a new car. Each time, the typical experience you would expect from a car salesman. Playing their game with pricing, and going back to the "sales manager" for a "better" price. Just tell me the cost already! Gordon Chevrolet was a breath of fresh air. They gave me a list of 12+ pricing options. Purchase and leasing. As it turned out, their pricing was better than the other dealers I had been to. The best part about my buying experience were the sales people. Rachel K and Dave F. They actually made the buying process enjoyable. I drove from Milford to Garden City for my purchase. This place has gone down the drain! The service is slow and horrible! I Just went for an oil change and tire rotation. Everything was working fine when I pulled in..... Now NONE of my tire pressures are reading. They didn't say NOTHING! They allowed me to pay, and pull off. I came right back!!!!! Now they are saying it's going to be $200!!!!!! Thought I was having a great experience working with Stephen and his team until it wasn't! He lied to me over the phone and I truly didn't know what to say back! I'm a no bullshit girl, I know what I want in a car and when you find it I will buy it! We went in last Saturday to test drive some vehicles and knew I needed the new Traverse! We sat down with him, told him the spec I wanted and what I was willing to compromise on then put down a deposit! After leaving I actually found my spec at another dealer so I sent it over! He said he would follow up with them on Monday about the vehicle! We it's now Monday and I still didn't hear back so I decided to call the other dealer and they let me know they were not doing trades on the Traverse since they are new! Completely understand and respect what a business has to do! So I told them I'd love to come out then that night to look and buy the vehicle! Meanwhile Stephen's boss called pushing me on if she could expect me to buy a car with them that day or the next! Excuse me, you still haven't even found me my car so I can't guarantee anything! I let her know Stephen was working on finding my specs then she started hounding me for my specs and every detail again! All while I'm a hairdresser in the middle of a client that's the last thing I have time for! Fast forward on my way home I finally reached back out to Stephen and he told me the VIN number for the car I sent him was invalid so there must have been a mix up and it was falsely posted but he had other specs close to what I wanted that he had ! He straight lied to me when I was already set up to go see it with the other dealer since they don't do trades! In this mean time Gordon also ran my credit WITHOUT my approval and WITHOUT even having a car for me! So never will I be back when I was blatantly lied to, hounded and push by his manager to ensure her I would be buying a car that day or the next then my credit ran with 2 hard hits for absolutely no reason! I called interested in a Chevy Blazer right before they closed and they guaranteed that it is available and they gave me an appointment the next day morning. I drove the next morning an hour to get there and salesman simply said it was sold half an hour before I arrived. My appointment was just an hour after they open. It seems like they already sold it when I called the night before as it was not on their websites but other websites had it listed and because their rep ensured me it was still there I made the drive, if someone to test drive it it would take more than 30 minutes, then paper work. I guess they were counting on me checking other vehicles but I was offended that they didn't bother to call me and let me know and that I'm that simple to believe it was just sold first thing in the morning right before I got there despite my appointment to specifically see it. read more

Thanks to Mike at Gordon Chevrolet, my Dad's disposal fee for his GM lease vehicle was waived at turn-in. Dad is unable to continue driving, due to his age and failing vision. He was ready to lease or buy another vehicle, but at age 85, it was not possible. 2018 Z-71 Silverado, Midnight Edition. Small body work covered by insurance is going on 3 months. Excuse after excuse. At one point my vehicle was declared as totalled ( $2300.00 repair on a $30k vehicle still driveable cosmetic damage). In an condescending tone of voice, he asked what's up stop me from taking his quote to the original dealership for negotiating purposes. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE: I ignored the bad reviews of this place and I regret it. David Wilkins was my service advisor at Gordon Chevrolet. He took my car in on Monday morning 8am. David calls me mid-day and tells me it's "some" sensors in my front and rear tires and it will be $1,160 to repair. I said that doesn't sound right, could you send me a list of the parts and the diagnosis? He says yea I could do it later, it'll take me a minute. I respond with "okay sounds good, here's my email..." David sends me (Photo #1 attached) a random Excel sheet quote that has one part listed and 6.20 hours of labor to replace 2 sensors in the rear with a completely different diagnosis and total than he stated on the phone, now all the sudden it is $1665.90 total. I respond and ask if he could actually list out all the parts and the diagnosis, again. He calls me and says "hey I'm leaving in 2 minutes so I'll do the quote tomorrow morning" aka keeping my car another day and won't give me a run down of what actually going on. He sends me (Photo #2 attatched) which now shows wheel bearings and sensors for parts and then ridiculously overshot labor stating it will take 6.20 hours for a 1 hour job. This is a $300 job at most and David quoted me for $1665.90. I immediately called and requested to pick up my vehicle. Sent all the info and talked to my friend who does mechanic work, they said this quote is absurd at best and there's no way those parts cost anything near that and they checked by wheel bearings during my rotor and brake replacement the week before last and everything was fine. I paid $145 for the diagnosis and I'm unsure if that was even done correctly. Go somewhere else to avoid getting scammed by this place. read more

Profoundly disappointed with their used car operations. My father unexpectedly passed away and we needed to turn in his lease from Florida. Steve appraised it last week and said he'd "take a chance" on buying a car from Florida, which apparently can be difficult to manage, title-wise. We weren't ready to buy that day, so he told us to call back on Monday to check back in and for a fresh appraisal. Cool, sounds good, right? Suddenly, on Monday, it was too much trouble for Steve to buy the car. His promise to "take a chance" disappeared, leaving us high and dry, less than a week from when I had to move my mom to California with us. Fortunately, Feldman Chevrolet in Livonia wasn't afraid of a Florida title and agreed to take the leased car today, no hassle, no bellyaching, no pretending like they were doing me a favor by accepting a pristine, low-mileage Equinox that will sell within a week of going on the lot (thank you, Derrick!). Beware of this shop... I will never take another vehicle her nor will I ever recommend this place. Took my car her after an accident I had in June and still having problems. Got my car back end of July only to put it back in the same shop a day later. Then after them having it another week got the car home only for the check engine light to come on. Took it back in for them to charge me $341 here it is November and check engine light on again. Not to mention I'm still waiting for the tow hitch cover they ordered. Oh and since my accident I've used 4 bottles of windshield solution only to find out the reason is there's a crack in the holder from the accident and they didn't fix that either. Not to mention the emblem they put on my car isn't straight. Poor work all the way around. When I asked about the trailer hitch cover they asked if I wanted them to remove the trailer hitch so it will fit. Oh and the hood wouldn't open and the hood trim was still broken. After getting my insurance involved they did fix the bumper hood and hood trim. Still waiting not the cover. And the rest I refuse to take it back because every time I take the car back something else happens. I feel like it sabotage but of course I can't prove it. They had the cheapest HHR we looked at in a reasonable radius from our house. Still ultimately we got one over a thousand bucks cheaper with less mileage. That being said they were pleasant here, did seem willing to make us somewhat of a deal and overall we had no hard feelings about anything. Not their fault someone else had more wiggle room and a bigger fleet to dispose of. Not everyone can get you a rock bottom deal. I would still keep this place on my short list of places to browse locally. read more

I (family) have been purchasing vehicles from Gordon for 20+ years and have had excellent service both from sales and service. Until this time. We made a trip to the showroom and were assigned a salesperson who supposedly was one of their more experienced sales people. He spent over two hours with us talking mostly about non pertinent information about the sale of a vehicle. When asked about specific details on several vehicles, he couldn't recall to much. We left with feeling Underwhelmed! Deciding over the weekend we would make another attempt to speak with him, I briefly spoke with him, being told he was with another customer and he would like to call me back 'shortly'. That was over a week ago. No call, but have advertisement mail coming in. I guess quick to mail, but not quick to sell! We purchased a vehicle from another dealership for $45K. Alex Pugh, and I approve him too. I came in today for an appraisal of my previous buy, and maybe get in something newer, but it wasn't a good deal for me at this time. Gordon Chevrolet has to be the worst dealership in the area. They sold me a used Chevy Trax with 28,000 miles on it and I have only had it a year and Ive had to take it in on five separate occasions. The representatives there are friendly but definitely not helpful. Ive never been so dissatisfied and disappointed with a dealership or company. They couldn't care less about the car they sold me or about getting me in on a timely manner. They always say their backed up probably because they sell broken vehicles as brand new and expect the customers to be satisfied. Ive never wrote a bad review before in my life but if any place deserves it, it's them. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could rate it ZERO STARS, I would. Our Silverado 3500 Duramax that we are pulling a 42' fifth wheel shut down in the middle of the road due to contaminated fuel. Fortunately for us the fifth wheel wasn't attached at that time, but we only had three days at a resort before having to leave. I called the three closest Chevy dealers and was told that they couldn't get me in for two weeks and a $2000.00 estimate or they didn't have the equipment to do that kind of work. Gordon Chevrolet understood my dilemma and the urgency of my situation. John provided me with a towing company number, told me he would get it on the lift that day. Oh, and he estimated around $1000.00 and his business card got me a good rate at Enterprise rent a car across the street. It took the mechanic two days to drop the fuel tank, clean the pump, flush the fuel system, and get her back on the road. They also changed the oil. And, yes, they met their estimate. John kept me well informed along the way. We have been pulling our fifth wheel for two weeks now with no issue. I am a resident of Louisiana and was shopping to purchase a truck in Detroit, Michigan with NICK VITALE. I've been conversing with NICK VITALE for about a week or more on the purchase of a Chevrolet Silverado. It's was a bit of task @ times because of the way I work I rarely had time to be on the phone to speak with him. So I relied on text messages as much as possible until I was able to verbally speak with him. After coming up with figures that I was in agreement with NICK VITALE asked when can I take delivery of my new truck. It was supposedly removed from the sales lot & placed in the back. In exchange for my word that I was for sure coming to get the truck he asked me to send him proof of insurance & my flight itinerary,I secured both, the insurance plus flight and sent him the info. He kept asking did I get the flight for Tuesday May 31 2022. The very 1st time I spoke to him, he asked when can I come to the store, I explained to him the best day for me to travel was on fridays because of my jobs and he understood so he asks again was my flight for Tuesday 5/31/22. I informed him the the cost of a ticket on 5/31/22 was $286 but on my day of travel it would have been $62. I continued on telling him I also had a 16 1/2 hour drive back to my house and that extra cash would be used for gas. I asked him if we were good.. his reply was YES SIR!. This is where he stopped communicating with me. I texted him to reassure that he would pick me up from the airport and to my surprise, my number had been placed on his BLOCKED LIST!!! I attempted to call him several times around 9a 5/28/22 and it went directly to his voicemail so I figured, being that the store was closed for the holiday until Tuesday 5/31/22 he didn't conduct work business during his off time. But to my dismay @ 8:29p in Louisiana, MR. NICK VITALE found the endurance to UNBLOCK my number, send me a TEXT "Please Cancel Flight . Sorry but Silverado is Gone. Again Truly Sorry Kevin."then he puts my number directly back on his BLOCKED LIST so I can't contact him in regards to his cowardly actions. I purchased insurance for that truck & a 1 way flight to Detroit from Louisiana & he was t man enough to tell me the truck was sold and without reasoning. But being the person that I am I already had him figured. He need to make sale before days end on 5/31/22!! This was my very first experience with Gordon Chevrolet and I was beyond impressed. My parents buy cars there, other family members use Gordon...it was just an all around pleasant experience. It all started with taking my wife's 2005 Equinox in for service. It was failing in several different ways and Gordon was our third opinion on her car. Larry from their service department took care of us. We took her car in and he told me he would call me the next day to let me know what was wrong with it. He called me promptly the next day to talk turkey about her car. I was prepared for what he had to say, but didn't think the investment would be that much. It made sense for us to skip repairing her car and just junk it. He was very honest in telling me that it would cost more to fix the car than it was really worth. And if we just fixed the minor problems, we would have a good 15,000 miles on it before it would kick rocks. Can't have that with a baby on the way. It was time for a new (to us) car. I went to the dealership the next day to discuss options with Larry. After a quick chat with him face to face, he went in to the sales office and grabbed Joe. I felt bad for Joe because I didn't tell Larry that we would be looking in to a used car. I knew that Joe had to be bummed we weren't buying a new car, but he was very polite and walked me over the used car guys. Once I was over there, I met with Dean. If you look in the dictionary under the words "genuine" and "kind" you'll see Dean's face there. He was the nicest guy I have ever met in my entire life. Being a salesman, I get that some people just put on a show to get what they want, but Dean was purely nice and gentle and understanding of our situation. I knew what I wanted because we looked at online the night before. Dean had no issue with that and pulled it around right away. We got in and I test drove the car. When we got back to the dealership we did all the paperwork and I was on my way. I had to pick up my wife from work given the situation and when we arrived back at Gordon, Dean was gone for the day. His associate Steve helped us complete the process and he was just as nice and kind as Dean! We had a wonderful experience and will most likely be buying more cars from Gordon when the time is right. I presented for an appointment to discuss leasing options with agent Mona Saad yesterday. As a result of the disappointing experience, I felt compelled enough to leave a review. Ms. Saad provided me approximately 10 minutes of her time, spending the majority of our time together engrossed in her personal cell phone reportedly texting messaging a family member. It was clear that I was not her priority and that overall she was not invested in leasing me a vehicle. I will note that I had previously been at the Ford dealership earlier in the day and had an astounding experience with the agent I worked with that set the bar incredibly high, as they invested in taking the time to give me their undivided attention during our meeting. Ms. Saad showed me one vehicle and answered limited questions. I couldn't help but feel this was due to being a black man in my 20s. I was already apprehensive presenting to the dealership due to societies stigma, and felt these fears and apprehension were reinforced during this experience. I have a scheduled appointment with another Chevrolet dealership at a different location today as I remain interested in a vehicle with Chevrolet but have been disappointed in this location/experience and will not be bringing my business back. Edit: I think it's worth noting that I received 4 calls from different people following this review. During one of these 4 calls the general manager asked me to take out information calling their company "racist" . At no point was anyone called anyone racist, instead it was simply stated what my experience and fears were as a Black man as a member of society and that the simgas that society overall holds regarding credit scores, finances and overall interaction, ect was referenced. I felt these things were perpetuated even by even the follow up encounter. I am entitled to my feelings and experience and hereagain I am disappointed by this experience. read more

I give them 0 (zero) stars. I have brought my car in for the air conditioning blowing warm air 7 times on their records. I just brought it in again 8 times now on record for the a/c now blows out stinky air. They have not resolved the issue. They don't even want to talk about the fact I have brought back to them for the A/C repair 7 times on record. I keep repeating 7 times on record because I have actually brought it in 9 times but they focus on the fact that their records show 7 times not 9. So excuse me that on record it shows 7 times. No one there cares that it was 7 times on record but focus on me saying 9 and not address the fact that it has even been 7 times or 9 times for the same problem A/C BLOWING WARM AIR INSTEAD OF COLD!!! This service department are incompetent and will not take responsibility for not repairing the issue in the first place. They are there to take your money and rip you off and to give you the run around and focus on things that have nothing to do with the real problem with your car. read more

I have either had problems with service on my Chevrolet Silverado; or, been completely ignored when I call. On one occasion, the service dept phone rang and rang and no one answered. On a second occasion, the phone was picked up, no one there answered my call and hung the phone up. On another occasion, I went to have a brake job done; only to have to go to a father/son garage, spend MORE money to have the brakes repaired correctly. A week ago, I sent Gordon an email about some needed repairs due to a hit and run accident I was a victim of. I have heard NOTHING. I have exhausted my patience with this bunch. From the receptionist, to the random cars sales persons walking around to my actual sales person, Jim Nelson, I was treated as a valued customer (and I hadn't even opened my mouth) . They smiled, listened and then responded with "let's see what we can do." They were honest in what they could or couldn't offer for my trade in. Jim took his time. Looked at what incentives I could use along with my GM discount. He couldn't beat the 1st deal I was offered, but met the exact deal and because they had treated me so nicely and with such honesty and none of the aggressive, slick BS... I gave them my business. Time entered: 8:35am - 12:00pm (took one hour to establish my own insurance so total purchase time - 2.5hrs) Purchased a preowned vehicle today. During the test drive, my helper Michael was courteous, yet a bit pushy during what I need to be an enjoyable experience. I won't say I DIDN'T enjoy it however, I don't want to talk about how much money I'll be putting down during the ride. I decided to come in that weekend to show my husband and purchase the vehicle. I called him to let him know that I'd be there around noon (They close at one pm). I didn't arrive on time and he called me to make sure I was still coming at around 12pm. We showed up at 12:20pm. However, after my husband inspected the car and gave the approval, when we went inside he said it was too late to do anything then but we should fill out the credit application. I felt rushed so I declined and my husband and I ultimately didn't want to purchase the vehicle because we felt we could've been told that before we took the thirty minute drive to Garden City. I must say that today when we went in for business it was a smooth process. Everyone was friendly, (I know, right!) and seriously made my first time car buying experience a breeze. Michael was very informative and considerate about allowing me to have all questions answered before signing anything. I didn't want to be a pain but it was important to me. I was able to print necessary documents on his computer and the finance manager gave me a decent apr. I am happy with the monthly purchase rate and benefits given with each package. From the very first moment I called Lori, the service consultant, I was very impressed. She was incredibly helpful with explaining the warranty process. She went into detail that no other dealership I called prior had cared to. When I took it in, my claim was initially denied. The Service Manager spent 12 hours on the phone with my warranty company to get them to cover a repair. I am a recently divorced single father of two daughters. I would not have been able to afford an engine replacement. They went above and beyond to get my repairs covered. I am always going to recommend them to everyone I know and they will always get my business. read more

I tried to tell them I didn't want to review my last call but they kept sending me the stupid email reminder even when I emailed them back to say they wouldn't like my report. I took my car in for standard maintenance and had to stand by my car for 5 minutes to get someone to greet me. When I left the dealer I thought my car sounded funny but thought I was imagining it because of the snowy roads. Later that day when I left to go home the car sounded and ran awfully and my check engine light came on. I drove to the dealer and waiting more than 5 minutes for anyone to greet me again I told them the problem which they looked at right away and found out that they had broken a part and they had to order it. She reset the code and fixed the issue but now I have to go back and have the part put on. read more

I purchased my very first car with Zac Pechin and don't think I could have done it if it was with anyone else. Before coming here I went to another chevy dealership on telegraph and the guy there made me feel extremely stupid and I was afraid to ask questions. I came to this dealership the same day just to look at different colors of the Trailblazer when my dad wanted to ask someone a question about financing. I was extremely reluctant to go in and deal with another rude salesman when Zac introduced himself. My dad was already on edge from the last guy and came across hotly to Zac but that did not phase him and he answered his question. This made me feel comfortable to ask if he could show me different colors and he happily did. Fast forward 15 long days I am now in my brand new 2021 chevy Trailblazer and I am happy as ever. Zac made sure I knew everything from top to bottom when it came to the car and the buying process. He broke everything down so that there was no surprises and never showed any signs of frustration or annoyance when it came to answering my questions or my dads questions (which were often repeated over and over again) If you are in the market for a new car and it is your first time, please go to Zac! I just purchased a used 2018 Equinox for my wife about 10 months ago, and when I purchased it I noticed it had a strong smell, so I searched the suv to find out I was sold a suv that had dry puke all over the left side of the driver seat and most of the seat directly behind the driver. I called the salesperson that sold me the vehicle the next day to let him know what I discovered, but ended up cleaning most of it myself and decided to not make a big deal about it. It's been 10 months and only 6000* miles later, so I just took the suv in for MY FIRST**tire rotation\oil change since the purchase and the service adviser did her job and recommended that I needed to replace the trans and coolant fluid, etc..Steve the manager of the service area kept denying it was their responsibility, even though it was the first oil change since the purchase (6000 miles later), and then was extremely insulting telling me I have no sense, then kept going in circles while persistently claiming it was just a recommendation, and that's it. I then asked why would the professional service advisor recommend something if it wasn't popping up as an issue, and Steve the service manager kept implying it was again just a recommendation and didn't need to be done, after I expressed how that should've been taken care of before they sold the suv to anyone.. I was always told used car dealerships are a bunch of cons, but didn't believe it until I had this experience. I will make sure to let everyone I know the experience I had. read more

Parts department is very good! They had a battery in stock for my Chevy spark, and the coolant tank when nobody else did. Was surprised when they didn't have SPARK PLUGS haha! BUT they ordered them and they were in the next day. How do you have a coolant tank and not spark plugs? Haha. I look forward to buying my next car there. Worst experience I've ever had at a car dealer. First they got me with a bait and switch. The car I wanted was sold last night. Offered me a more expensive option. Went on and on about how they could give me a better finance deal than my bank after repeatedly telling them i won't finance outside of my bank. Ended up walking out. After, the salesman hounded me. Called me several times, left voicemail, email, and texted my cell phone off his personal number. Suddenly, hours later, the car was available. Things happen. The next day, he sent me several more texts hounding me about if and when I was coming, and asked me to send proof of insurance for a vehicle I had never even seen or looked at. "Service center completely scammed me " If I could give it a zero I would. Took my car in a year ago because it was stalling. They said they fixed it for $400 which some was covered under warranty. They replaced timing chain and gaskets. Still stalling so recently I had after market solenoids put in. It was still stalling and check engine light came. Took it to Gordon's and John pool told me it would be $542 and that's it's because I had after market solenoids. I was hesitant, but he convinced me it would be running good after. Next day he calls me and tells me it will be over $1400. But at this point they already changed the solenoids and that didn't work. They mis diagnosed the problem. I tell them forget it and pick up my car. On The work order for the 1400 they have timing chain, gaskets and actuater. The same things they supposedly fixed a year ago. They still charged me $500 for the solenoids. Paid $500 for absolutely nothing and check engine lights still on. Nothing fixed for $500. I will be putting in a complaint through the state of Michigan. We actually have also talked to our cousin who is a lawyer. I feel like they took advantage of me because I am a woman. As loyal customers of Gordon Chevrolet for years it's obvious something has changed and it's not for the good! We tried to deal professionally with new collision manager but his lack of customer concern, lack of communication skills and lists of excuses becomes unbearable. We had to bring vehicle back four times and leave it for about a week to realize they don't seem to even care and they don't bother to write notes on what they say they are going to do. Then when questioned he turns it around and blames the customer! Really? Run to Feldman! read more

Repairs took longer than expected (5 weeks to fix a damaged wheel due to hitting a curb from hydroplaning). When I got the car back it had multiple issues, I had to return the car before I even left the parking lot, recockulous. On a positive note; the front line workers were friendly, communicated well and provided me with free brand new loaner car (2009 impala) while repairs were in slow progress.
