The buying experience was quick and easy; however, the salesman seemed quite busy and was in and out while we sat in the office waiting as he took other calls. We were fine with that and understood it could be quite hectic. However, here I am a month later after purchasing a new F350 diesel and struggling to get my second key that they couldn't find. They had my wife come down with the vehicle to have a key made, and for whatever reason, they couldn't get it done. I've called a few times trying to find out when I'll receive it in the mail as promised, but I keep getting the runaround. I'll update the review when I receive my second key. Darian my sales gal was Great!! 5***** Service Center for the Sales Dept not so hot! Needed new tires and they did NOT put "Perelli" back on but put "Yokohama" on. They didn't do the 4 wheel alignment so I had to drive 35 miles one way to have it done. They also missed a leaking valve rocker gasket. 1* Their regular service center did the 4 wheel alignment and found the leaking valve rocker gasket and offered me a loaner to get it fixed. Even though I chose to bring it home and have it fixed, to not have to drive 35 miles one way again. 5***** read more

Bought a used cars from here had issues right off the lot. Although they claim they do detail inspection before purchase the result is the proof of that claim. Seemed like they rigged the car to pass inspection but then went bad within the month off the lot. Be upfront with your buyers to inform us better would be a better policy. Only saving grace for this place is their repair garage is tip top for my current autos but I will never buy another car from here again. Would give a negative star rating if possible. read more

I bought a used Volkswagen Routan. It had an oil leak at first which they fixed. Had it 3 months now and it's been one thing after another. Very unreliable. I have to jump it almost every time I need to go somewhere which isn't good when I'm alone with all 3 kids and nobody to jump me. Got a new battery and it's still needs jumped. I bought a 5k money pit. August 9th update. So now not only has this car died on me multiple times but when my family and I were driving down the highway in Virginia, the studs on the tire broke off and we almost crashed the car. Breaks wouldn't work at all. I called to talk to Donna a service manager and was told it's as is. Yes I get that but as is only goes so far. When the shop I towed my van to fixed it, they brought me the studs that were left, only one stud had a fresh break. The rest were either almost snapped off or just starting to crack. Mind you, they inspected my car and were the last people to touch the tires! You can see if a stud is cracked when you take off a tire. Ignoring it on their part is negligent! Better business bureau will be getting a complaint. read more

Scheduled a 7:00am appointment for a state inspection and dropped the car off the afternoon before. Texted Ashley at 3pm and got no response. Called at 3:15 and was told it wasn't done, that I had a "drop off appt " not a regular appointment and they would try and get the car in but no guarantee. This was scheduled on their website site for a 7am appointment, confirmed as such in their email responses, but I guess since I wasn't waiting there for it they didn't put any urgency on it. I have always owned two vehicles but when I traded my Malibu in on a Corvette Stingray Convertible, I immediately went down to 1 1/2 vehicles as the Corvette is stored 6 months of the year due to the weather. One day I was looking on the internet for cars good on gas when a new arrival popped up from Bob Ruth Ford. It was a 2019 Toyota Camry with 16,000 miles. I was immediately interested, called the dealership and spoke to a salesman who sent me all the information on the car and the CarFax report. We drove over 2 hours to look at, drive and purchase the Toyota. I was very happy with the service I received and how accommodating everyone was. There was a hard sell on the extended warranty and when I turned it down, they came up with a so-called better one than the "best" one they originally showed me. The experience with the extended warranty was the only disappointing part of the whole transaction. However, once settled, the experience was a positive one. read more

Bob Ruth Ford has cars on their lot with frame damage, so buyers definitely need to be aware. Bob Ruth says that they inspect their cars, but they don't do an accurate job. I had to pay $198 to find out a car that they were selling has a damaged frame. Even with this knowledge they still have the car listed for sale, but I they sure don't mention the frame damage that they now know about. That definitely doesn't seem like a honest & respectable approach to selling vehicles. read more

Although I like my car. I would not recommend Bob Ruth Ford. The sales people seem inexperienced, they try to rush you into a car and they don't even wash the car for you nor give you a full tank of gas like most dealerships. I bought a 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited and the sales person Christian Fortson didn't even go over the functions of the car with me so I pretty much had to figure everything out on my own. I'm a little disappointed. I really wanted a Ford Explorer but settled for the Chevy. Ok so since I've bought my car 3-4 months ago I've had an issue with my car acting up, something to do with the traction control and car not runnng right. The first time I brought it in they claimed my rotors were warped and they supposedly fixed it.... I brought back a week later because it was still acting funny and all they do is take it for a test drive and the service manager or whoever he was told me to brace myself because he was going to slam on the brakes, which he did and claimed nothing was wrong with my car. Here I am once again because they failed to check my car thoroughly and now my check engine light is on and my car is squealing. They always claim they have no loaners and I see a few in the parking lot.... I love it even more when the car dealership continues to advertise the item on their website 6 days later and even did a price reduction on it to get people into the dealership. There are laws that relate to this practice. The Code of Federal Regulations, in section 16, part 238.1 states the following: § 238.1 Bait advertisement. No advertisement containing an offer to sell a product should be published when the offer is not a bona fide effort to sell the advertised product. Bought a 2004 GMC ENVOY which was told would pass inspection. Only to find out that it was fraudulently inspected. Am contacting state attorney on this case. 1) back door and glass do not open at all. 2) the rear hatch door has a missing windshield wiper. Telling me that a proper inspection service was not made. 3) contacted them over and over again and problem Not resolved. They keep avoiding my calls. 4) was told to get estimates to see if problem could be fixed here since I live an hour away. No issues with our salesman, he was great, however I do have some other issues I was not happy about. 1. The night we went to look at the car and put a deposit down, we come outside to leave and there is a new paint chip in the door that was not there before we went inside. It was brought to the salesman's attention and he said they would fix it. When we went to pick the car up, not only did they just put a glob of touch up paint over the chip, they didn't bother to try and remove the dent that was created when the paint chip happened. Then when I asked to transfer my license plate the guy try to tell me he could save me money by getting me a new plate. That was an absolute lie because he knew I had a few months left on my current registration. Made me feel like he was just trying to get more money from me. And last but not least when we went to leave with the car they left us with completely empty gas tank. So empty that it didn't even register 1 mile until empty. They did end up putting gas in it for us after I asked but never in my life have I bought a car from a dealer and them not put gas in it. read more

This was single handedly the most uncomfortable and unprofessional experience i have ever had at a car dealership. I was unable to purchase my car on the first day I test drove it, when I returned the next day with my friend, who happened to be a man, everything changed. The sales team asked if that was my boyfriend/husband which was extremely inappropriate. The conversation was then directed at my male friend even though I am purchasing the car independently. The payment changed from the day before and the terms presented were absolutely ridiculous. The blatant sexism and shift in attitude was so uncomfortable. I asked why the payment had changed and to see it written on paper and the finance manager literally showed me a post it with a monthly payment written on it, THATS IT. I was then shown and APR 3% higher through the same institution that I was already approved from, check in hand. The salesman never came back to speak to me again once he overheard my disgust when speaking with the finance manager. I asked several questions that weren't able to be answered and was asked to provide my own credit score after I was given the inflated APR. I was repeatedly offered a drink after i refused several times and asked not to be asked again. The entire process was truly embarrassing for his company. I have never felt more blatantly disrespected because of being a woman. It's 2024, I make more than you do and my credit score is excellent, you need to do better. After informing sales that we would be driving over 2 hours from NEPA with 2 large Newfoundland dogs and politely asking that there be No Surprises, test drove the car, agreed on any necessary items to be addressed, were then told that the price was $900 more than quoted. To further attempt to insult our intelligence, they then tried to explain that they were losing money on the car, even at the $900 overcharge! Let's ALL be real folks...no business is in business to lose money. One manager, after trying to justify the $900 increase, told me he wasn't going to argue about it, then followed us out the door to continue arguing. '16 Ford Fusion with 30k miles Had a positive experience here with my salesman Jeff Turner. That was the extent of it. Bought the car in late May and they've been in possession of it more than I have. Replaced a couple parts in the transmission early on, relatively quickly. But.. They took a month to order and replace my passenger side headlight. They promised me my entertainment system would be fixed. They've attempted and failed over 4 times. Last time I drove it was about 2 months ago. And when I had it, the alternator or something was acting up because the electricity would cycle and EVERYTHING (turn signals, lights, etc) would temporarily shut off. At this rate, I'll be able to test drive all of their 19' models as rentals. read more

Not sure where to begin with the horror stories I can tell you about this place. Example 1: I can call and ask for a specific person and be tossed around for 10-15 minutes. I did this while driving home and decided to go there instead. I arrived there within 10 minutes before I even got to talk to the person I was trying to reach! FYI: He was in the sales room talking to the other salesmen. Example 2: My husband & I overheard a salesman talking to a potential buyer and he outright lied to the customer!! The customer called him out on it when the salesman said he never heard of the class action lawsuit (that I'm stuck in). The customer walked out. Smart man! Example 3: They sold me a lemon (which is currently under a class action lawsuit) and now are refusing to service my car for ANYTHING!! Example 4: Every time I tried to work with them to get into a different vehicle they dragged their feet. Never did get resolved. Last Example: Service guy told me I would need new rear brakes with my next oil change. Next oil change came around and I went to another dealership I bought cars from in the past. They told me I still had 25-50,000 miles left on those brakes!!! Bob Ruth Ford are outright liars and the staff that answers the phones don't know what they're doing.
