Buyers beware when dealing with this dealership. I called ahead and specifically priced out a demo vehicle using GM Employee Pricing. The dealership assured me they would honor the GM Employee discount and even apply an additional discount because the vehicle was a demo. However, when I received the actual numbers, the payment was nearly $200 more per month than another dealer quoted me on a brand new vehicle with an MSRP that was over $6,000 higher. GM Employee Pricing should be relatively consistent from dealer to dealer, so the numbers simply did not add up. It appears the discounts that were promised were either not applied correctly or were misrepresented during the sales process. Very disappointing experience. I should read my own reviews. Went back again to service my GMC Yukon. What a mistake. It really is the service advisor you get. At one point I was told this guy wasn't there anymore and then today, I get him. What happens, no need to go through but still a disaster and it's really sad this guy is even there. Love the trucks and hate the Service Advisor. Nothing but mistakes, misleading statements and failures. Go somewhere else. Every time I schedule service here there are issues. Mostly they fail to follow through with all that is requested. This time is no different. Parts and service do not communicate. The excuses for incomplete work, failed follow through and finger pointing between departments is crazy. read more

I've contacted my sales representative that led me to talk to Dan Troutman in parts, which is the manager. he's been avoiding my calls... I was told they would fix my Yukon by calling a local dealership in my area so I could take it to get fixed. I have noticed paint defects and I've also noticed more issues with my Yukon since purchasing. I had test drove a white 2024 Buick Envista Avenir at a local Chambersburg dealership - vehicle was already slated to be traded to another dealership and I was hoping salesman and mgr would search for the same type of vehicle. They did not. I didn't wait and did my own search and found the vehicle I wanted in York, PA, at Jack Giambalvo Buick GMC. I called and made an appt and Al (manager) was very friendly and directed us to our salesman Bernard Little (Bern) who was throughly knowledgeable about the vehicle, took us on a nice long test drive and worked with us on our trade in. Bern was very helpful in the buying process and drove the vehicle 2 hours down to my place of work 2 days later to go over the various apps and controls of my new car. I am very pleased with my vehicle and the wonderful staff that helped me in that process. By the way, I'm still waiting on that dealership from Chambersburg to call me back. They have big inventory that doesn't move for months and it's easy to see why. Salesmen look for easy simple sales and put no effort into earning the sale, sales managers aren't much better. Ready to buy and the sales manager decided to back off the trade values listed on the sales sheet from the last weekend and over smaller amounts that was flat out petty. Over the holiday break I took my mom to Jack Giambalvo to review her lease. End of the year, end of the month is the absolute best time to negotiate. Dealers want to get cars out the door to get their factory bonuses. Yes - I was in the car biz for years - but did they know...absolutely not. We met Bern, the salesman, in the parking lot. He happily took us for a test drive in the model vehicle we requested. We wanted to make sure she was comfortable in the newer model with body style changes etc. After the test drive he basically was ready to let us go - I think he assumed we wanted to wait for her original sales person who was on vacation. I asked him to work up a number on the car we drove. It was red - she wanted red and it was the only red terrain at all of the local dealers. Bern was incredibly friendly, talked a lot, a no pressure kind of guy. First number that came out was absolute garbage - $25 per month over what she was originally paying. Yes, new car, higher price, lots of extras that she wasn't used to..you'd think it's an OK number. After some "negotiating" I asked he go back to his manager for a better number - we're missing some incentives here etc etc. He came back with a much better number $50 less than her current payment, pulling her out of her current lease and less money down due to her GMC power card. If any of you are GMC heads out there - apply for this credit card she used it for practically every purchase over the course of 2.5 years and got almost $1500 back to put down on the new lease. Yes we spent almost all day there (the reason for 1 star off)...I'm not sure how they can possibly move so slow..but if you have patience and a little push I'm sure you can walk away with a good deal. We went to look for a new Yukon and not only was the inventory/ selection sparse, our salesman was clueless. Knew very little about the new models. I purchased from another dealership and they refused to honor the GMC extended service maintenance package we upgraded to. They even took it on step further and told me to cancel it with the previous dealership and tried to sell me their service package. Completely unethical. took my encore in for check engine light and told knock sensor needed replacing, paid over $500.00, two weeks later check engine light came on again saying knock sensor, they said nothing wrong, 4 weeks later again check engine came on again saying knock sensor, this time told it's problem with pistons and over $5,000.00. These guys are like an STD, you can never get rid of them. I only inquired about the availability of a vehicle and have been receiving emails from them for over 6 months. I politely asked 3 times to be removed from the email list, to no avail. The fourth email I sent was not so nice but it did finally prompt a reply, which was very half hearted and they simply said just don't contact us and we will stop. First of all, the car I drove 60 miles (one way) to see had been falsely advertised by the dealer as having: 1) 45k less miles than the vehicle actually had; 2) one prior owner; 3) completely detailed. I even asked the sales rep to confirm the listing and he said what was listed was accurate. So, the car was nice but had far more miles than originally anticipated/advertised, had far more than one owner and was not detailed at all, whatsoever. I was railroaded into buying the car and they offered nothing in return, no freebies at all. Then, to add insult to injury, they sold me an extended warranty service contract with a horribly rated company (Zurich) and the $100 deductible discussed was actually drawn up as $200 deductible. This dealership is one I would not suggest doing business with at all whatsoever. And, if u do buy a used vehicle from them, talk to the sales manager FIRST as the sales rep who helped me basically just started and didn't have a clue as to what his position entailed. He didn't even have a BUSINESS CARD!! So very upsetting and unprofessional. Last but not least, I've had two door handles break on the car (my expense of course), and now my wheel bearings are bad. 3 Visits to the dealership and they still have not fixed my 2015 GMC Yukon, very frustrating! I'm being told they cannot do anything else. I'm having serious problems with shifting, especially when the engine is cold. I'm not sure of the actual problem but this engine is shifting and hesitating in gears 1-3! They sold us a vehicle with a rusted hole, bigger than a silver dollar, in the body of the truck Feb 2013 and did not disclose it. We got home and noticed the hole and called that night. The sales manager ran us around for 3 weeks and when I spoke to the VP he told me that was common in older vehicles. Their fix was a crappy fix with the paint chipping off when we picked it up and not fixed properly because the sales manager told the body shop worker to not fix it properly. When we picked it up from their body shop and took it back to the dealership the sales manager told us it looked fine. Now that is customer service. Don't trust them apparently you have to look their vehicles over with a fine tooth comb. We paid $19,000 dollars cash for this vehicle. read more

I was really impressed with the folks here. I needed a vehicle ASAP as my car was dying. I found a truck online that I liked and called them up, left soon after and test drove the truck. It was a good fit and Lance my salesman was very upfront about the vehicle. The truck was in great condition and the only flaw was a broken center console latch which Lance pointed out as soon as we got in the truck. After the test drive I decided to buy the truck, they still gave me a reasonable trade-in amount even though my car was a POS. The following paperwork didn't take too long and I was soon on my way.
