    Sea salt ube milk tea
    Vinh M.

This boba shop inside the Great Wall Shopping Mall opposite Mama Dough is for take-out only; there's no seating inside though you can use the indoor mall seating. Given this, nothing to say about service here though my drink did come out fast. I got the sea salt ube milk tea with 50% sweetness, boba and less ice, and I enjoyed drinking this a lot, especially since the ube flavor is apparent and not overpowered in any way. I've tried their other drinks here prior to this review, and they have a good number of unique names for some of their stuff! Parking can be an issue for the mall on weekends but other than that, this is a decent place for your usual quick boba runs.

I got the strawberry matcha fresh milk and was disappointed. In terms of strawberry jam, might be one of my least favorite, it was very stringy and pretty sweet. The matcha itself was okay.

My smoothie was okay but not good. Wouldn't recommend to a friend, wouldn't go back. The good: cute packaging and well done tapioca pearls. The bad: Was not given the opportunity to choose a sweetness level, despite seeing it on the menu. Mango smoothie was essentially just sugar water with a couple of pieces of fruit.

The food look good, but I didn't order it today. The service was good too. A quaint Boba Milk Tea Cafe.

Service was quick. This is an order for take out shop; there are no chairs/ tables etc but you can sit in the mall benches. So happy they got the new menu since I'm not a big fan of fruity flavored tea so my options have been limited. The ube latte is creamy and yummy but a little bit too sweet as I drink more. I got the full sugar; next time definitely going to get 75% sugar Pudding was an additional 75 cent.

The sea salt ube milk tea is ahhhmazing! I highly recommend if you're into ube. I added boba and pudding and it was so delicious. I requested for 50% sweet and regular ice and it was a match made in heaven. Boba Tea Lab is located in the great wall shopping plaza, right across from Mama Dough. There is a tablet next to the register, which I think is a good idea when they only have one person working at the moment. You can order your drinks the way you want them, and the person behind the counter will have it out for you as quickly as they can. They have lots of specialty drinks with cool names, plus traditional boba flavors. Worth a try!

I was supposed to grab boba for my friend and I but ended up asking my friend to get it for us LOL. Luckily this place was nearby for him to put up the drinks! It's located next to Bambu in the Great Wall Mall in Kent. There's a parking lot with ample stalls that won't ever be a problem. I got the Life is Peachy which contained butterfly pea and peach syrup. Super different compared to what I usually get. The drink looked beautiful! And it tasted even better. The butterfly pea wasn't too sweet so the peach syrup mixed with it gave it a sweeter kick. The balance was delicious! My friend got the Strawberry Fresh Milk Tea which was suuuper sweet. There was a lot of strawberry syrup that didn't really balance out nicely with the drink itself. Great place to check out if you want some unique flavors that you don't really see elsewhere!

    Crispy Popcorn Chicken ($6.50)
    Kathy N.

Not bad! I got the popcorn chicken ($6.50) and strawberry creama ($5.50) drink. I ordered online. The popcorn chicken was the Taiwanese style kind, where it's not a thick flour coating on the outside but cornstarch. I got the no spicy version (there's spicy and very spicy too) but I should've gotten spicy. It honestly lacked flavor and salt and I thought it'd come with at least a ketchup packet but nope. If they were gonna do the Taiwanese style popcorn chicken, it would've been nice to get some Thai basil in there as well. It was very hot and juicy and freshly fried so that was good. As for the drink, it wasn't too sweet and you could taste the green tea. The cheese foam made it taste like a strawberry yogurt drink. We didn't get a topping (extra 50 cents if you do) but I think lychee jelly would've been good. I'd come back but only for the drinks

I was excited to see that DIY Tea Lab/Boba Tea Lab had a sea salt ube milk tea, which I hadn't tried before when visiting a DIY Tea Lab. And when I saw that Boba Tea Lab was the same company/menu, I had to give it a shot while in the area. Sadly, my ube dreams fell short after visiting Boba Tea Lab. Located in the Great Wall Mall, Boba Tea Lab is one of the retailers here in Kent. I visited on a Saturday in the late afternoon and the staff couldn't be more bored to work there. They were chatting with each other even when I was standing at the counter waiting to order. I finally just had to say that I was ready to order, which they looked annoyed having to stop talking and help me. Even when I got my order and thanked them, they didn't acknowledge me and kept chatting with one another. Such friendly customer service and a welcoming environment, geez. Anyway, the sea salt ube milk tea was a bust. I love all things ube, so liked that it had ube with this drink, but the milk tea was sooo milky. There was hardly any tea in it, so it tasted like I was drinking ube-flavored milk. And then when I drank all the ube, it tasted like milk. Bleh! I eventually had to just toss out most of the drink. Unfortunately, this wasn't what I was anticipating. I can't say I'd visit again after the unfriendly employees and milky tea. Maybe I'll have better luck at the DIY Tea Lab locations.

This is a good bubble tea place. Someone said it's a sister store of the Tea Lab in Newcastle, but in my opinion, it's way much better than the one in Newcastle. The drinks are good. I normally order 75% of sugar, which is just the right sweetness for me. The staff are very friendly and nice. Once my son dropped his drink right after he walked out of the store. The store employee immediately gave him another drink. Very good service! They also sell Taiwanese popcorn chicken. It's so good! I always buy at least 2 packs of Taiwanese popcorn chicken whenever I visit. I highly recommend their Taiwanese popcorn chicken along with their bubble tea.

    TaroBerry Smoothie

This location is the sister store, same owner, as the DIY Tea Lab in Newcastle, in case you're familiar with that. This is a smaller shop, and no DIY as the name would indicate. From what I can tell, they are less than 2 months old currently. Unlike some of the other reviews, we did not order our drink at a kiosk. It was normal service with someone taking our order. Every drink is $5 with one free topping. Very straight forward. I scanned the menu looking for unusual flavors. They have many colorful and unique drinks. I chose the very last one, TaroBerry smoothie, and I chose lychee jelly as the free topping. I have had numerous taro smoothies; who knew this is such an awesome flavor combination! Try it if you haven't! I'm sure I'll be back for more.

    The Cupid Tea

Always excited to try out new boba places. There are multiple places in Great Wall in Kent and my friends and I chose to try Boba Tea Lab. I ordered the Cupid tea and it was pretty good. The syrup wasn't too overbearing and the drink overall tasted refreshing. Each drink comes with a free topping too, and most places don't do that so that was a nice surprise. The employees were nice too. My group came in super last minute (and I felt terrible for doing that) but they still served us with great customer service.

The BEST BOBA! It was so satisfying to chew on these perfect tasting boba! The texture was not too soft or hard. Cooked all the way through and not hard in the middle like some places. The outside is not soggy either. Such a pleasant experience! Nice customer service 50 percent sugar was perfect. Not too sweet and we could taste the tea. We got a range of 25 percent to 100 percent. So good!

I stop by here every time I go grocery shopping at Ranch 99. They have the best popcorn chicken in the area.

I tried the classic ruby black milk tea w/ boba, 50% sugar. The drink itself wasn't bad, but the boba was so bland. :(

Food is amazing, some are overpriced like the chicken knee. Very good taste but cost us $11 for a small serving. Had the chai gio, good crunchy egg rolls. Had the bahn beo - amazing. We went to the restroom and discovered the faucet did not have water at all, even more, discovered after I put soap on my hands! I wonder if they washed their hands?! Not sure if I will return. Sanitation is key!

It has a nice ordering counter with a nice, large menu board---complete with colorful pictures. Its emphasis is street food and their menu reflects that. It's a nice niche to fill, instead of the traditional pho places. Behind the counter is a nice room filled with low tables and chairs, which nicely mimics the restaurants one find in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh. The murals , green shutters and colorful hanging lamps add to the ambiance of being in Vietnam. I wish they'd clear the equipment they're storing on the side of the ordering counter. It is clearly an eyesore. We ordered the steamed Banh Beo. They were good. The Cha Giò (fried spring rolls) were great, as well. The Grilled Chicken Knees were super good, especially the sauce. But that item was clearly too expensive for serving a chicken part that is easily thrown out by a butcher! They don't give you enough. Maybe it should be put in appetizer section. Or maybe serve it needs to be served with some rice! The food is served on flat baskets and small attractive little chinaware---nice touch, very authentic looking . They also served sugar cane juice and other tropical smoothie drinks, with boba. Wished they' had the employees at least check on the diners and ask how we liked the food. Also, don't mind bussing our plates, but the station felt cramped. Again, I understand that it's not a full service restaurant, but a few extra service touches can enhance the experience for a good concept that they seem to have here. The other thing that bothered us is that there was no water coming out of the faucet in their one lone restroom. One would think that, that would be in any restaurant's checklist before they open. Big no-no. We'll be happy to try other offerings next time.
