This boba shop inside the Great Wall Shopping Mall opposite Mama Dough is for take-out only; there's no seating inside though you can use the indoor mall seating. Given this, nothing to say about service here though my drink did come out fast. I got the sea salt ube milk tea with 50% sweetness, boba and less ice, and I enjoyed drinking this a lot, especially since the ube flavor is apparent and not overpowered in any way. I've tried their other drinks here prior to this review, and they have a good number of unique names for some of their stuff! Parking can be an issue for the mall on weekends but other than that, this is a decent place for your usual quick boba runs. read more

Service was quick. This is an order for take out shop; there are no chairs/ tables etc but you can sit in the mall benches. So happy they got the new menu since I'm not a big fan of fruity flavored tea so my options have been limited. The ube latte is creamy and yummy but a little bit too sweet as I drink more. The sea salt ube milk tea is ahhhmazing! I highly recommend if you're into ube. I added boba and pudding and it was so delicious. I requested for 50% sweet and regular ice and it was a match made in heaven. Boba Tea Lab is located in the great wall shopping plaza, right across from Mama Dough. There is a tablet next to the register, which I think is a good idea when they only have one person working at the moment. You can order your drinks the way you want them, and the person behind the counter will have it out for you as quickly as they can. They have lots of specialty drinks with cool names, plus traditional boba flavors. Worth a try! read more

I was supposed to grab boba for my friend and I but ended up asking my friend to get it for us LOL. Luckily this place was nearby for him to put up the drinks! It's located next to Bambu in the Great Wall Mall in Kent. There's a parking lot with ample stalls that won't ever be a problem. I got the Life is Peachy which contained butterfly pea and peach syrup. Super different compared to what I usually get. The drink looked beautiful! And it tasted even better. The butterfly pea wasn't too sweet so the peach syrup mixed with it gave it a sweeter kick. The balance was delicious! My friend got the Strawberry Fresh Milk Tea which was suuuper sweet. There was a lot of strawberry syrup that didn't really balance out nicely with the drink itself. Not bad! I got the popcorn chicken ($6.50) and strawberry creama ($5.50) drink. I ordered online. The popcorn chicken was the Taiwanese style kind, where it's not a thick flour coating on the outside but cornstarch. I got the no spicy version (there's spicy and very spicy too) but I should've gotten spicy. It honestly lacked flavor and salt and I thought it'd come with at least a ketchup packet but nope. If they were gonna do the Taiwanese style popcorn chicken, it would've been nice to get some Thai basil in there as well. It was very hot and juicy and freshly fried so that was good. As for the drink, it wasn't too sweet and you could taste the green tea. The cheese foam made it taste like a strawberry yogurt drink. I was excited to see that DIY Tea Lab/Boba Tea Lab had a sea salt ube milk tea, which I hadn't tried before when visiting a DIY Tea Lab. And when I saw that Boba Tea Lab was the same company/menu, I had to give it a shot while in the area. Sadly, my ube dreams fell short after visiting Boba Tea Lab. Located in the Great Wall Mall, Boba Tea Lab is one of the retailers here in Kent. I visited on a Saturday in the late afternoon and the staff couldn't be more bored to work there. They were chatting with each other even when I was standing at the counter waiting to order. I finally just had to say that I was ready to order, which they looked annoyed having to stop talking and help me. Even when I got my order and thanked them, they didn't acknowledge me and kept chatting with one another. Such friendly customer service and a welcoming environment, geez. Anyway, the sea salt ube milk tea was a bust. I love all things ube, so liked that it had ube with this drink, but the milk tea was sooo milky. There was hardly any tea in it, so it tasted like I was drinking ube-flavored milk. And then when I drank all the ube, it tasted like milk. Bleh! I eventually had to just toss out most of the drink. Unfortunately, this wasn't what I was anticipating. I can't say I'd visit again after the unfriendly employees and milky tea. Maybe I'll have better luck at the DIY Tea Lab locations. read more

I got an Ube Boba and my husband had a jasmine smoothie boba. I give this place a 4 star because the ube was absolutely delicious. The creamy and not overly sweet taste of ube mixed as a velvety addition to your traditional boba. They ask you how sweet you want it. The only downside is that you can't just ask for any drink to be made into a smoothie. My husband loves true green tea, not the flavored green powder and I think because there's milk in it, they won't blend it. No big deal because he loved the one he got. If you're looking for a place to sit, this isn't the place. There's a hard wooden bench and that's about it. The staff is friendly and kind. Willing to explain the different types of drinks they have. Another bonus is that they have some fried snack foods that you can get if you're just looking for a very light meal. read more

This is a good bubble tea place. Someone said it's a sister store of the Tea Lab in Newcastle, but in my opinion, it's way much better than the one in Newcastle. The drinks are good. I normally order 75% of sugar, which is just the right sweetness for me. The staff are very friendly and nice. Once my son dropped his drink right after he walked out of the store. The store employee immediately gave him another drink. Very good service! They also sell Taiwanese popcorn chicken. It's so good! Every drink is $5 with one free topping. Very straight forward. I scanned the menu looking for unusual flavors. They have many colorful and unique drinks. I chose the very last one, TaroBerry smoothie, and I chose lychee jelly as the free topping. I have had numerous taro smoothies; who knew this is such an awesome flavor combination! Always excited to try out new boba places. There are multiple places in Great Wall in Kent and my friends and I chose to try Boba Tea Lab. I ordered the Cupid tea and it was pretty good. The syrup wasn't too overbearing and the drink overall tasted refreshing. Each drink comes with a free topping too, and most places don't do that so that was a nice surprise. Just place your order at the kiosk, they will text you once it's ready. There's also a screen that shows the progress of your order. We tried the Organic Matcha Fresh Milk and Lychee Jasmine Green Tea. Both drinks were on point and boba had a good texture. The interior is clean and brightly lit. The employees were friendly and worked swiftly. They all wore masks though some were not worn properly. Hand sanitizer is provided near the kiosk, which is a plus since everyone else orders from there too. The drinks was not the best I had but also not the worst. The orange drink is their grapefruit green tea and the other drink is the brown sugar fresh milk. The brown sugar fresh milk was good, but also, how can you mess that up? I asked for half sweet and no ice and they were able to accommodate, which was a plus. The grapefruit green tea, on the other hand, was nothing like it was pictured in the menu. The menu showed fresh grapefruit slices in the drink but mine didn't have it. It also tasted sour and bitter with hardly any sweetness to it. If you're into sour and bitter drinks, this is for you, but definitely not for me. It also had an after taste I'd get after drinking artificially flavored drinks (not saying they use artificial flavoring/powder because I didn't watch them make the drink.) The popcorn chicken had a great flavor to them. The only downside is, they're small chunks. It was supposed to be mildly spicy but honestly, I could handle it well. The boba isn't as sweet as what I'm used to and the strawberry in the fresh milk has hints of sour in it. MAKE SURE U STIR/MIX the brown sugar fresh milk!!! Otherwise it will be suuuper sweet and if you just drink the top, it will taste like you're just drinking milk. All the fresh milks are super creamy and the honey boba - maybe because I got less sweet was lacking some taste. Staff are super friendly! There are no tables really so you pretty much get your order and leave. Ordering: iPad ordering kiosk. Contactless with a big bottle of hand sanitizer on the side. The storefront is a big small though, so the masked workers were right there to answer any questions you may have! I've previously ordered at the other location, so I knew about the online ordering system. Their Facebook event had a link to order as well, so that was helpful. Everything is pretty self explanatory, with explanations of drinks and walks you through sugar and ice levels as well as option for a free topping or to add more!! Taste: You can actually taste the tea in their drinks!! Every drink is fresh made (minus the brewed tea of course), and boba is made in batches through out the day to ensure texture and consistency! I ordered the lemon lime kumquat green tea, which had fresh lemon and lime slices. Very nice touch! The signature fruit is still my favorite though! My friend ordered that and there was even a fresh (cup sized) slice of watermelon in there! We also got the brown sugar boba SLUSH! Very good bsb taste, but in slush form, it's almost like eating those popsicles that have been going around, but the consistency was blended so fine, it was very easy to drink and perfect texture for sipping! Employees were helpful, although a bit busy. It was soft opening when we went, on a Sunday afternoon, so a little crazy! Awesome text system: if you enter your phone number, you get a text that order received, estimated wait time, and a message when your order is ready so you don't have to sit there and wait! I got the brown sugar boba tea. Its tastes really good and isn't overly sweet. There was a self checkout machine so I didn't need to interact with the worker's. I didn't like the boba specifically. It was really soft and mushy and just didn't taste good. And im use to my cup getting filled to the brim but not really a big deal. I saw the staff touched the inside of the cup when making the drink, and wanted to ask her to change it. But she was so fast and seemed indifferent; I did not want to bother her too much. However, it turned out she put the wrong toppings for the fresh matcha, I couldn't eat boba and had to exchange. She just dumped it and put another topping inside. She also showed me that the process was clean. I didn't want to bother her and I know they need the business and profit, so I accepted. But I had to throw the drink because I didn't feel comfortable drinking it anymore. I think this is the last time I come here. This place is located inside the dying Great Wall Mall, where the anchor store is Ranch 99. All drinks are $5 and include boba or jelly. The flavor is good and the service is prompt. The reason this place receives 4 stars is because they load their drinks up with ice, even if you request less ice. That's how the store makes money, by using ice as a filler. Came in on a Sunday late afternoon. My friend and I knew what drinks we wanted before ordering. We noticed that the customers in front of us ordered with one of the team members, but another customer seemed to be ordering on a touch screen. Great! The less interaction, the better. I specifically wanted the fresh strawberry milk but was having a hard time finding it. After looking through all of the pages, I gave up and decided it would be easier to order by speaking with the team member. They ended up referring me back to the touch screen to order. When I let them know I was having trouble finding it, they told me to look in the milk tea category and walked away. It turned out that the fresh strawberry milk had a picture of their brown sugar milk instead which tripped me up. I'm not placing all of the blame on the team member (I should have read the names more carefully), but they just didn't seem to care that much. I was just taken back a bit that it seemed like they weren't willing to help correct me. The drink itself was really good and reminded me a bit of nesquik (in a good way). read more
