TP TEA @ SOUTHCENTER Parking is available, but there honestly aren't that many spots probably around 5-6 dedicated spaces. The rest are shared with nearby businesses like AT&T, and it was surprisingly packed for a Thursday afternoon. Luckily, we found one spot all the way in the back under AT&T, but I do wish there was more parking available or a larger lot. Getting there from the freeway is pretty easy though, you basically just make a quick right turn straight into TP Tea, but it can be easy to miss if you're not paying attention. I've been to this boba shop before in San Diego, so when I saw a location in Washington, I knew I had to bring my dad. I ordered the lychee fruit tea, and he got the mango tea with light ice and added boba. One downside is that this location doesn't allow substitutions like the San Diego one does, I usually swap lychee jelly for boba at no extra cost, but here they charge extra. The service wasn't the best. When we walked in, the staff didn't seem very welcoming and mostly just looked at us. There was only one self-order kiosk, and a couple was taking a while on it (which is totally fine), but the employees didn't step in to help take orders either. It felt a bit inconvenient since we were just waiting to see if anyone would help us, but eventually they did take our order. The drinks themselves were pretty good. My dad's mango tea ended up being more icy than expected even though we asked for light ice, I think it's because it's a blended drink, so the consistency was thinner rather than thicker. My lychee tea was really good though, I'd definitely recommend it. Even at 50% sweetness, it leaned on the sweeter side, but still very enjoyable. The ambiance is nice, the space is big with plenty of seating, and there's a steady flow of people coming in and out. Overall, it's still a solid spot to check out. This place just recently opened and it was very crowded when we went. We came on a Sunday around 4 PM and waited about 30 minutes from walking in to getting our order. The store is clean and nicely decorated, though it could use a little more seating. The boba was really good and had a soft, chewy texture. The drinks were yummy overall, and the mango tea was a favorite. It had fresh mango pieces in it which made it extra refreshing. Parking is limited and many people were using the AT&T spots nearby. I think the long wait was probably because the store is still new. We will have to come back again and see if the wait time improves. read more

I visited during their grand opening this weekend. There was a line out the door because of the BOGO event, but it moved quickly. Velvet Osmanthus Milk Tea with Boba is a good drink, floral, not too sweet; I rate the boba 4/5 stars, it seems a bit smaller than regular boba, the texture is great, but not sweetened enough when I get a big mouthful. Strawberry Milk Tea is very fruity and quite tart, though too sweet for me at 80% sweetness. I also got 3 small egg pancakes to try. They are alright, inside the soft, outside wasn't too crispy. Tip: the parking lot is tiny, so best is to park across the street or further down the street when they are busy. read more

I'm glad another quality chained boba store has opened in Tukwila/Southcenter area! There's no need to go to DT or Bellevue for it anymore especially now that another competitor also opened around the region not long ago as well. The location is new, so the interior design is modern and clean. TP Tea is one of my favorite boba spots is around the Greater Seattle area. I went during the BOGO special on their grand opening. It is located in it's own building and there is a small lot but I would say that it could be hard to find parking. The interior is really nice and there's a decent amount of seating on the interior. we tried TP tea over the weekend and the service was quick and friendly. it took awhile to look over the menu, and the staff was very patient and willing to help. i ended up getting the taro matcha latte 80% sweetness. it was the perfect amount of sweet and the taro was a nice touch! i loved that it was a fresh mix of taro. i could've added maybe an extra bit of matcha, but overall, i would definitely come back here to try their other drinks. there's some seats and tables set up in a big open space, and surrounded by windows. a cute little day cafe or quick pick up spot. :) parking is a bit tight but doable! note: it says dogs are allowed on their yelp page. i brought my pup in to order and while i waited. not sure how pet friendly they really are, but nobody objected and there are no signs stating pets are not allowed! read more

My only gripe is that the location is kind of wonky. If you're heading south on Southcetner Pkwy, it's a little difficult to cut across the right lane and then immediately turn into the plaza. I normally don't order brown sugar boba because it's not my favorite but I wanted to try it at this spot to check if it was different than the places I've tried and it is, I really like it. Downside to it is the wait time, we waited about 20 mins for 2 drinks, it wasn't that busy when we went but there were people who were ordering multiple drinks or they probably ran out of boba. Finally! One of my favorite bubble tea chain is now opened in Tukwila right by the mall! I came here during their grand opening weekend with my friends to take advantage of their BOGO special. When we went, there was already a line out the door. Parking was full so we had to park nearby to walk there. The inside of the shop was small with only a few tables. Decor was minimal with a big TP Tea sign against the wall, filled with tea leaves. Despite the long wait, the lines moved pretty quick. We all got the passionfruit green tea with aloe jelly and TieGuan Yin tea latte. Sadly, they were out of the strawberry milk tea that day. Overall, the drinks were really good and consistent like their other locations. I'm so glad there's one closer to me now which is very dangerous for me lol. I came to their grand opening weekend since I am already such a big fan of their location in ID! Service was really fast and professional! Despite there being a long line and its grand opening as well, we still got through this line in under 30 minutes. The sweetness level was great on my pearl tea at 30% and I could really taste the tea shine through! Love that they have TP tea in southcenter now and I will definitely be back! This location has parking in front of the store. It's cozy and clean inside. The staffs are helpful and very patiently answer my questions which I appreciated. The people in the back are a bit slow making drinks. I see a few other drinks weren't seal very well so make sure you check your drink before shaking. I have the Tp milk tea with 50% sweet, but it's still very sweet, idk whether they messed up the sugar or their drinks are just very very sweet to start with. We love the Chinatown location but this new Southcenter team needs some work. If you like reduced sweet drinks I don't recommend using the self ordering kiosk. Everytime we used the kiosk and say 30% sweet, it comes out full sweet everytime. I was so excited to see TP Tea coming to Tukwila, and went during their Grand Opening to take advantage of their BOGO special. The parking lot is small and was very hectic for the crowd that came for their Grand Opening promotion. The line out the door seemed daunting, but the staff were working very hard and the line moved quickly! The drinks met my expectations. I was really excited about the QQ noodle since I only ever tried it once and loved it, but they didn't have it again at the ID location. The QQ noodle wasn't as chewy as I remembered, but it was also the end of the day and they were closing soon. One of the best Boba Shop chains I've come to love. I'm so happy I don't have to go all the way to seattle to grab some! Their teas are always on point and not watered down at all. The boba at this spot was perfectly chewy and the service was just fine. The shop is still new so it's small and does have the self service kiosks for those wanting to take their time with the menu since it's bigger than some chains. I will say; it's in a very tricky spot to get to if you miss the turn coming out of certain parts of Southcenter. The store is a bit small inside, so even though there wasn't an issue getting seating, I could see it being a challenge if I went during peak hours or during a weekend. Overall though, it's nice inside and the staff are friendly. The tea was good overall and I thought had a balanced flavor. They have a pretty abundant selection of options too, which I can always appreciate. The only other drawback is that the parking lot is also pretty small, so again that might be an issue during peak times. I like TP Tea and their drinks are usually very good, but I really dislike how strict this location is about their "set drinks." I went in wanting to order the Treasure Milk Tea, which comes with real taro and egg pudding. I asked if I could substitute the egg pudding for boba, and they said no. That's fine -- I understand some stores don't allow substitutions. So I then asked if I could pay for boba separately and just not have the egg pudding added. I was told no because it's a "set drink" and they can't change it at all. I tried explaining again that I didn't want the egg pudding and was willing to pay extra for boba. The employee went to ask the manager, and when I spoke directly to her, she laughed and said, "You don't want the egg pudding?" which felt unprofessional. She still said no. I then asked if I could get the fresh taro drink but made with milk tea instead, and again the answer was no. I honestly don't understand why the rules are so strict here, especially since the Seattle location allows these exact modifications. It feels inconsistent and frustrating as a customer. The Tukwila manager in particular seems very rigid and often comes across with an attitude, which makes the experience uncomfortable. Great drinks, but the customer service and inflexible policies at this location really ruin it for me. read more
