Known for taking tea seriously (and fruit even more so), this place consistently serves up drinks that taste like someone actually cared about flavor balance, texture, and that oh-so-critical sweetness level. I ordered the Green Grape Boom, which felt less like a drink and more like a love letter to summer. It came packed with real green grape chunks--actual fruit, not just essence or artificial vibes--and blended into a slush that never turned into that dreaded flavorless ice mound. The sweetness was subtle and refreshing, a major plus in the Asian community, where "not too sweet" is one of the highest compliments a drink can earn. Like many great things in New York, there's a wait. But that's only because HeyTea still has people coming back again and again, and you won't find anyone here mad about it. They're sipping happily, knowing it's worth the time. A fun bonus? HeyTea is currently on the Claim app, which means free boba is up for grabs if you sign up. Yes, you read that right--free. Boba. We live in a beautiful world. In short: HeyTea continues to set the standard for fruit-forward, tea-rich drinks that feel thoughtful, not sugary. From slush to pearls, it's crafted with care--and a green grape dream that's hard to beat.

The appetizers were more mixed; massaman curry with roti was tasty but spring rolls were a bit bland. If you're undecided between two spice levels, round down because the restaurant rounds up.

The base price is $11 and only $3 each to add an appetizer and drink. The interior is casual with some seating and tables. I ordered the Shrimp Drunken Noodles, along with Crab Rangoon and Thai Coffee bubble tea. The Thai Coffee was strong, creamy, smooth, and sweet. Boba was not of high quality and didn't have that satisfying chewiness. Crab Rangoon was filled with a cream cheese crab concoction, which was rich and true crab taste. The Drunken Noodles were made with sautéed flat rice noodles, mixed with fresh basil, onions, carrots, bamboo and bell peppers in a chili soy sauce. The noodles were perfectly cooked, while the veggies were fresh and crunchy. There were actually plenty of shrimp (for once) and they were succulent, as well as juicy. The ingredients blended together beautifully coated in the delightfully well seasoned, savory sauce, which had a slight kick to it. I've also tried the Sweet Sausage Fried Rice, which was quite tasty. I loved the Sweet Sausage, which reminded me of Chinese Sausage. It was made expertly, and was tender and full of flavor. Service was efficient. Next time, I would like to try some of the bubble tea options, such as the Thai Soy Milk with Basil Seed / Red Bean / Thai Tapioca, Coconut Dragon Fruit, and Brown Sugar Milky Coffee. In terms of food, I would return to get the Pad Thai Crab Meat and a dish with Crispy Pork.
