A lot of boba is included

It's not that this place sucks, it's that there are so many better options within the city... I'll describe what I mean. The boba were stiff and clearly slightly old and I found the tea to be just a bit watery. The tea quality wasn't bad, though, and I found it to have a nice bittersweet aftertaste. Unique, but welcome. Overall, the product really wasn't a disaster as much as just mediocre. And they made me wait a while for a single tea, with no one in front of me. Look, it wasn't all bad; the sizing is VERY generous and the quantity of boba is pretty crazy. I liked that a lot. But, if you're paying $9.50 for a bubble tea, it better be damn worth it. That's all I'm saying.

The space is pretty and large for a Manhattan cafe. The staff super nice. The brûlée actually did taste like brûlée and was non caffeinated, which I appreciated since I don't drink caffeine. And this is the only boba place for a good half mile at least. Nice addition to the neighborhood amongst all the coffee only places.

I was very excited to see a bubble tea shop open up on the UES! I tried the Ruby Red Milk Tea 50% sugar and Classic Milk Tea 30%, and both were great. The tea flavor definitely came through and the boba was perfect (firm and chewy). Ruby Red was a nice subtle flavor. Classic Tea was similar to the standard tea at Kung Fu Tea. Like many bubble tea places, you can adjust the sugar level. I generally like my milk teas to be on the less sugary side. 50% sugar was perfect. 30% was a tad low for me. My orders were to go, but the shop has a nice quiet ambiance to enjoy the tea and a few seats do some light work. Highly recommend this new addition to the neighborhood!

It's just so disappointing. What started out as a good idea with waffles and bubble tea has become a hole with little or no food and beverages. Every time we came back, they had less and less. Despite the nice seating and friendly employees, I wonder if they can survive, as they sure are moving in the opposite direction!?

Okay yall this is a true late night snack run spot if your with your friends. LOL...this was my exact situation. Atmosphere was 5/5...very minimalist Christmas decor but boujee. The customer service was *chef's kiss*. They were so nice and explained the boba teas very well. The teas were 4/5 but still very good! I would recommend for a late night friend met up run!

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.

There weren't that many options for sitting, so you have to be prepared to wait for a second for a table. Thankfully, upon arrival, we were able to sit down almost immediately as a couple tables opened up. The menu is pretty short and sweet. They have sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, potatoes, bakery options, etc. it seems that they are more of a coffee shop, so there were plenty of coffee and tea options. The homefries were really good, just a little oily and not as crispy as I would've liked. The restaurant makes their own jam, which seemed to be dragon fruit, and it was tasty but i don't think it went well with my sandwich. My friend gave her French toast a 7.5.

It was good, but not particularly memorable and didn't quite live up to expectations. The little cookie on the side was a nice touch, though. The latte art was intricate and very pretty. We sipped our drinks at the high-top tables, which was much more casual. The sit-down tables were filled with late brunch diners. The cafe seemed pretty and well-liked, so I'm open to try their food in the future.

Buvette was able to accommodate me for an early dinner shortly after my arrival in New York,…read morespecifically the West Village. Buvette is one of five W. Village eateries helmed by power-chef duo Jody Williams and Rita Sodi; four are within a block of each other. I passed the other three (Bar Pisellino, Via Carota, I Sodi) on my way and all had lines out the door. Carota and Sodi are Italian, Buvette is French. There are 2 other Buvettes in Asia and one coming soon in London. Buvette does not do reservations. Buvette is a charming but tiny/cramped space, made more tiny within the last year by NYC's removal of pandemic-era street patios which greatly helped dining capacity. Buvette may sometimes have a few front sidewalk tables, and there's a tiny outdoor patio in the back. The tables and dishware are also tiny. There's a kitchen in the back, but some food is also prepared below the bar in front, where there seem to be some ovens. The food seems reliably consistent here. The menu is short but there are daily specials. I ordered a non-alcoholic ginger soda, crab tartine (a special), lobster a l'Americaine (lobster pot pie) and frites. The soda is always on the menu and is refreshing, with a nice snap of ginger. The crab tartine was fab, a fresh crab salad with avocado atop toast. The lobster pot pie was made in the under-bar oven, a small serving of lobster and veggies with a golden puff pastry topper. Delish. The frites were nicely crisp, served with an aioli. Service was okay, but my hot food took about 45 minutes to come out, apparently because my ticket was lost. Overall a pleasant meal, my first during this visit.
