It's been 6 years of searching for good bubble tea in New York and I've finally found THE place. Boba Fish writes that their milk tea is handmade and I can taste it! Most bubble teas in NYC taste water downed and powdery. The boba also feels extra chewy which isn't the way it's supposed to be. In most bubble tea places, you can barely even taste the tea part in the milk tea. Boba Fish uses a really yummy tea so that you can actually taste the flavor. The balance between the milk, sugar, and tea was perfect. They even allow you to do half sugar, which so places have refused. It's a creamy and balance milk tea. Even my husband who's not a big milk tea fan, loved it. The cup the tea comes in is also nice. It's not flimsy or easily flattened. Price: The price of the bubble tea was very reasonable and you get a large cup for less than $7. If you haven't already tried this place, I strongly recommend you do so!

Coming from SoCal with a lot of great boba places, I'll say this place is up there with Tastea and tebotea. My bf had taken a picture of this place months ago to let me know that there's a boba shop opening near his place and I got excited. As a abg, i approved this place. The boba are chewy and soft, I can taste the brown sugar and the tea, has earl grey fragrance but it doesn't over power the milk tea. Fresh. Not those shops that used cheap powder to mixed their teas. It does taste a different. They are a local shop, so definitely coming back to try out their food too! They have lunch specials and by the looks of it, great reasonable prices too!! Services was great, they took their time to make my tea and I like how it's not too much boba, perfect ratio from tea to boba. Getting boba each sip. We came in on a Wednesday afternoon during lunch time so it was empty, so guys if you stumble on my review, please go and support them. I must come back here when I'm in town in the next couple of months and make my man to go here.

Came in with my daughter after finding it on Google maps. I believe it was the grand opening. We came in for the drinks but ended up trying the food. We got fries, pork bao buns and shrimp with rice. Delicious ! The store was slightly busy, but the two workers handled it with ease.

Was looking for a boba place in the UES and so glad that Bobafish was nearby. Upon walking in, the worker greeted us and we looked at the menu. I decided to get the brown sugar boba because it is a common classic. I was surprised that they used a milk tea base and not just regular milk. The boba was perfect and chewy. Very delightful and sweet. I thought it was a pretty good bubble tea. The service was solid and the ambiance was very nice. It is a very small and quiet shop, so I hope it gets a lot more traction! I checked out Bobafish and I'm glad it's now in the neighborhood! Prior to Bobafish I wasn't enamored with the bubble tea options in this area. The people at Bobafish were super friendly and my mango milk bubble tea was really delicious! It was not overly sweet. The Boba was prepared well and it was soft throughout. The price was reasonable ($6.50) and the tea was a very large size. I'll be back!

Really, really good milk tea and boba --especially, for the UES! The taro was amazing and not too sweet, the boba was perfectly chewy. The prices and service are great! It's a nice little spot to meet with friends. I wanted to like the brown sugar milk tea more, but the tea was pretty strong for my preferences. Good news if you like strong tea!

Got the boba here and it's a good price for what you get. The flavor is on the sweeter side which is what I was looking for and my order was made fast.

I love this place! A small family owned location, great staff and a wide selection from food to boba teas/smoothies! I will be back.

Best milk tea boba on the UES. The pork belly is delicious and the wings are very good. The wing sauces are unique and very tasty.

This location is accessible via A train at 42nd Street Port Authority. Upon arriving there was a woman in front of me arguing with the staff persistently haggling the price to be lowered, but to no avail. Woman, no means no! There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! The conclusion was ironclad. In the real world, this cannot happen. As I stood on line waiting for this woman to let go and walk away from her argument I had shrunk to my own gnawing thoughts. I took photos of the atmospheric environment. There is a cute signage: "Bubble tea where refreshment meets creativity." The pink metal water bottle is very adorably cute which is something that I would certainly purchase. Peach green tea, medium $7.25 My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error. Nevertheless, this Gong Cha satisfied my bubble tea fix as it is now my addiction - in addition to my other addiction, writing. [1] O/O/O = Out Of Order

I've never been to a yogurt store that makes you pay a set price first before selecting toppings, which also means toppings are limited based on the yogurt size (something I only realized later after looking at a picture I took in the store). The employee who was supposed to help me immediately gave me attitude, as if I was supposed to already know all the "rules" of the store. I said nothing that would have warranted that reaction -- I simply went over to the display. At the register, I scanned my rewards app then couldn't find the card reader to pay. After about 20 seconds, I realized it was sitting on top of a case of water bottles (pictured). The topping limit signage was also placed off to the side of the register where customers wouldn't naturally see it -- it wasn't even on my side and was partially blocked. I only found this out when I went up to the counter after I got my yogurt. While choosing toppings, I asked how many I was allowed, and she responded, "How many toppings do you think you're supposed to choose?" with a noticeably rude tone. When I chose cookie dough as my fourth topping, she only gave me a few pieces, dropped another on the counter (pictured), and ignored it. The cookie dough topping was stale too. I also noticed she did not seem to treat other customers the same way. I eventually went back to the register - I asked her if the yogurt was actually strawberry matcha because it tasted like vanilla. I also asked about her rudeness because I genuinely didn't understand why I was being treated that way for asking simple questions. She said the information was "on the wall," even though it was difficult to see. I actually ended up apologizing earlier because she made me feel like I was burdening her. The only personable thing she said the entire interaction was that I didn't need to apologize, but the tone still felt unfriendly. Two customers sitting nearby ended up leaving without ordering. I understand it was Super Bowl Sunday and she appeared to be working alone, which may have contributed to stress. Still, I left feeling extremely shaken and even spilled yogurt on my jacket afterward. I would not return to this location. I used to come to this location sometimes, but after this experience -- and a previous visit where I ordered a tea and received very little -- I would not return.

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil.
