    Lemongrass pork bun cha
    Christine N.

First impression: n/a I ordered for delivery so can't say much on service or ambiance The Noms: lemon grass pork bun cha - generous portions, perfectly cooked vermicelli rice noodles. The meat was mostly tender and flavorful. I liked the nuoc mam, it was good. Cha gio (egg rolls): a bit overdone, the egg rolls tasted a bit burnt, but it was still good. Despite being ordered for delivery, the egg rolls weren't soft or oily when they arrived. In Conclusion: I'm always looking for good Vietnamese food... makes me less homesick for the food I'm used to having access to in California. Would come back here to try more menu items

"Good Vietnamese food is hard to find" -- a sentiment I wholeheartedly agree with. I've tried several other restaurants in Manhattan that have not exceeded my discerning tastes. That is, until I tried Vietnaam. Vietnaam really just does it for me. My favorite dish is their spicy beef pho with vermicelli noodles. Served with chili-infused broth and topped with slivers of brisket, the soup is meaty, garlicky, with just enough spice to add a slight kick without overwhelming the senses. I haven't tried their bahn mi yet, which I regret now after hearing how delicious it is. My husband contends it's the best bahn mi he's ever had. Because the restaurant is under renovation, you can only order via pick-up or delivery. As of the writing of this review, if you opt for pick-up, you will receive a 10% discount for each item. Pick-up is quick, usually taking about 5 to 10 minutes. If you've been searching for good Vietnamese food, give this place a shot. I'm glad I did.

I used to visit this restaurant in person, but now it seems they operate exclusively through delivery. It's a great spot for Vietnamese comfort food, offering a wide variety of dishes. We ordered the shrimp dumplings, which were plump and reminded me of har gow dim sum. I wish the bread on crispy shrimp sandwich (bánh mì) had been lighter. For me, that's an important key for a solid bánh mì. The shrimp bún xào and beef fried rice were both solid choices. One thing I appreciated when ordering online was the option to request less oil or add spice. I opted for less oil on both dishes and made the fried rice spicy, which gave it a nice kick.

I often order lemongrass pork chops when I have home parties and guests are always love this dish! It comes with salads and free rice. This time I also ordered spinach dumplings, which I loved! First time ordering spinach dumplings, it was completely filled with spinach with a thin wrap. And it came with a watery sauce, which was tangy and delicious! Definitely recommend vietnaam, also note they have 10% lunch specials plus an additional 10% for take out!

Still my favorite place to get Vietnamese food in the UES. I used to love dining in but they have been a take out only restaurant for a while now (covid and post covid) - not complaining. Their food is authentic, savory and delicious in the best ways! You can get a discount ordering off their website for lunch and an additional discount for pick up! I can't recommend this place enough!

Classic Banhi Mi - cold meats and grilled pork

Ordered online for a picked up and got a great deal, we love a good deal by the way and they have a lunch deal too. Yes, it's a bit more on the pricey side for Pho but overall the taste was decent, especially when the weather feels like 31 degrees outside and we didn't want to go across town. Guys, please this isn't orange county pho so of course the flavor isn't as strong, just decent to get back but not a cure for hangover that for sure. Banh mi was the highlight, that grilled pork was really good, I asked for less carrots and more cucumbers with sauce on the side, not a fan of soggy banh mi and this was perfect. Their thai tea is WOW. It's the brew kind and not the powder one, you can definately taste and I would know because my family used that thai brand of thai tea bag to brew it when we had a restaurant back in Texas.

I've been trying to find a viet place that has really good bun -- and I finally found it! I got the roast pork bun and it had the perfect ratio of noodles, veggies, and meat. sometimes restaurants add extra things to their fish sauce, but their sauce was perfectly simple. this place is currently take out only, but their service is still so great! they're currently giving 10% off for pick up orders & 10% off for lunch. would def go again.

This place is 100% going in our rotation for takeout! For people that don't know this place is currently take out only and it was ready so quickly and the quality was good! Everything we got was really really solid. The lemongrass pork bun bowl was our favorite thing as it was just a perfect blend of everything. The bahn mi was really solid and the bread was really soft. The wings surprised us as they were better than I expected! Forgot to take a pic of the shrimp and fish hot and sour soup. It was fine but I wouldn't get again.

This was a college staple for me while I was living in Manhattan. Unfortunately they only accept takeout orders, so I can't comment on the ambiance. What I can say is that the food is phenomenal despite being packaged in to-go containers. Restaurant taste in the comfort of your own home. What you need to try is their Banh Mi. They have a long list of options (proteins) for the sandwich from fish to traditional cold cuts to pork belly. Get the pork belly. Seriously, I get it every time. It's so good that I make the trek from Yonkers to the UES just to get it. That's how much I love Vietnaam!

Decent pho, only good to go if you're in the area. Chicken was overcooked. Wish the dinning was open, currently only takeout is available.

Most Asian…read morerestaurants in this neighborhood are fancy sit-downs, so it was exciting to see a quick, casual stop for Asian "finger food" (for a lack of better word) within my vicinity. Joju specializes in modern Vietnamese cuisine, serving meals like bahn mi, loaded fries, and rice meals. The menu recently added soy garlic wings, and since I am a fiend for Asian-style fried chicken, I of course had to have it. While all of the beverages looked tempting, especially their non-alcoholic soju refreshers, I needed caffeine to offset the afternoon slump that was about to follow, so I ordered a Vietnamese coffee. The wings were huge! It was notably crunchy, saucy, and juicy. There was a decent skin to meat ratio, (I so hate biting into a mouthful of breading), and the meal came out piping hot. It was clear the chicken had been fried per order. Those who know me know that I can't live without rice and would eat it with almost any meal, including fried chicken, so I did request it on the side, although the wings don't come with it. The man who took my order did me a solid and served it with mine, anyway. Good lad! I've been wanting to try Vietnamese coffee for a while now, and it was everything I imagined it would be. Sweet with a bitter backend - but not too bitter! I'm still new to coffee, and I pucker up at anything too intense. This was just right. My meal at Joju satisfied me, mind, body, and soul. I hope it is here to stay, and I hope that a shop like this is a catalyst for other quick Asian food stops to follow. Korean and Filipino restaurants - I'll be waiting!

There was a line, of course, there always is, and the wait was longer than what we were willing to endure for fare as simple and as common as a sandwich. It was worth the 20-minute wait. There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space.
