We ordered the Captains Supreme Nachos, which barely passed itself off as food. First when we ordered it we were asked if we wanted ground beef or chicken on it. We ordered ground beef. when we got our nachos it smelled like something was on fire. As we looked, the paper in the dish that the chips were on was burned on all edges, and some of the chips were burned as well. Why and how could you burn nachos. These were just regular chips, with a dab of cheese, enough to only cover about 3 chips, and a teaspoon of ground beef on it. It was topped with jalapeno peppers that were so hot it was almost dangerous. These nachos had NO flavor. They were the worst nachos I've had in my life. I've had better nachos from a bag at a little league baseball game for $3. Almost more ridiculous was the fact that these "supreme" nachos cost $9.95 and they charged us $2 more for a teaspoon of ground beef. What a double rip-off. Bad food at a high price. Our bill was $20 for lousy nachos, one captain and coke, and a 7-up. The only reason we gave this place one star is for the nice location on the lake, and the good band that was playing that night. We don't like throwing our money away and leaving unsatisfied. We will NOT be coming here again.

The bar also has two billiard tables. The bartender was super friendly and talkative telling us about the town and what to do. It is kind of dark and looks a little sketchy from the outside but it's definitely worth giving it a shot and coming inside. They have all kinds of beers so you're sure to find something that you like!

The play was horrible, but the beer variety was excellent, including Spotted Cow, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Miller Lite and two varieties of Budweiser. Also had a nice selection of bourbons. Tried a couple of Basil Hayden varieties I hadn't previously had. One was a dark rye, which was delicious! The other was a rum based bourbon, which should stay in the bottle. The Walker Street Bar is also smoker friendly. I was able to enjoy a couple of Olivia Gs while sipping my bourbon. There is always sports on the flat screen, but I wouldn't consider this a sports bar. The TV is a little too small to elevate this place to a sports bar. The inside seating is also very comfortable. So comfortable, in fact, that after taking a short nap, the Bloody Mary bar was open. Choose a mix of vodka infused with horseradish and cucumber. Was originally trying to navigate my way out of the Petro Truck Stop Parking Lot, having my rig parked over there, I was about to walk half a mile out to the other side of the freeway for that Advertised Chinese Buffet...but I couldn't find a walkway, and ran into this Chaser's building by accident. Accidents can be good. I sat down, looked through the menu, and picked up the ribeye steak, some fries, and lemon pepper wings. And I gotta say, it was a solid supper. Steak was cooked right, wings not overwhelmingly seasoned, and food was on par with if say you going to an Outbacks. I don't think I would've ever given this place a chance if I just looked up Yelp, it's 3.5 stars rating, because I most likely would have just glossed over the potential experience. And now that I've experienced this place....I may as well plan my trips next time so I camp in my rig overnight at the Petro in Effingham....that way I can get a few games of pool have a couple of IPAs, get a good dinner and really let loose for the night. I liked everything else on it but the lettuce had turned. There was some I was able to eat. I would suggest at least one main dinner portion salad. Could be basic and be customizable. The loaded potato was delicious! ate every bite but the skin. I wanted too but too much butter needed. My heart was thankful.
