I've been a customer with Farmer's Insurance in Willcox for the last year, and have struggled every…read morestep of the way with them as a business. After numerous interactions which provide little service by them and maximum frustration received by me. Here is my experience: 1. Never once, after repeated requests, was I able to communicate directly with the actual agent handling my policy. 2. There was a delay of *3 months*, August to October, in obtaining and starting homeowners policy because the Farmer's agent repeatedly "didn't make it out to inspect my property yet". I actually had to threaten complaint to Arizona Insurance Board for failure to provide a reason in writing why they were choosing not to insure my home, then, as if by magic, the inspection happened within hours of receiving my message. 3. Complete lack of response from Farmer's on requested policy changes, i.e. requests were made for policy changes but absolutely no action, acknowledgement or correspondence was received from the office, email, paper or voice. They are a black hole for information. 4. After decision not to renew my homeowners policy with Farmer's, I was sent to collections for a small outstanding balance. Although I had paid the policy balance in full at the time of instantiation, the policy apparently changed or was modified by Farmers and I was never billed for this additional amount. I don't even know what it was for or why I was charged. I would have simply paid the bill had I known it was owed. Completely unprofessional and a terrible experience. In looking to file a complaint to BBB, I discovered they are not listed as a BBB accredited business.

When I lived in Safford, I bundled my auto insurance with my home owner's insurance and saved some money. I also got a discount for being a teacher. When I moved away, I kept Michelle as my agent for my home owner's insurance. When the Gila Valley was hit with a massive storm back in 2016 that caused widespread property damage, Ms. Wilson (though undoubtedly frazzled from all of the calls she was receiving, remained calm. She helped me file a claim with Farmers Insurance. The damage throughout Safford was so extensive that Farmers Insurance had to dispatch a group of claim specialists to look over the damage. Since I was living out of state, I engaged the service of an independent adjuster who acted as my local representative with Farmers. Everything worked out in the end and Farmers came through with the repair costs for a broken window, replacement flooring (from flood damage), replacement siding, and a new roof. Without insurance, the cost of repairs would have been prohibitive. As it was, I was able to get the house quickly repaired. I appreciate the team of adjusters that Farmers sent to help out Michelle. I also appreciate Ms. Wilson herself.

The agent refused to work with me after I criticized the company, taking basic business personally. In the past, he's been derelict in returning calls and the service has been generally bad. Last year reducing coverages failed. The policy was still overpriced and the increase this year even higher at 62%. We were forced to change companies, as we suspect they show favoritism to other clients over us.
