I put it away and six months after moving I came across it again and said, maybe I should find out about it and if it's worth anything. I'm deaf so, my Son had set up an appointment. Mr. Douglas Riegger is very professional, help me out along with my Son to understand what we have to do to accomplish my goal of finding out. Still work in progress, I'm giving a five, they have exceeded my expectations. I do recommend this group and they are all very professional, courteous and helpful.

READ THIS REVIEW, EDWARD JONES IS HORRIBLE!! .... DOES NOT REQUIRE THEIR AGENTS TO BE FIDUCIARY!!…read moreWhich is someone who is legally or ethically obligated to act in the best interests of another person or group. Which their agents do NOT disclose to their clients. Ok, so I know this might be a long review but I feel it's very important to hear the details of our situation to understand we are not just disgruntled former clients. I will get into specifics and name names to expose their deceit. My wife's family put their trust in Edward Jones for a very long time, probably 40+ years. My father-in-law put his and his wife's "nest egg" with them. He also opened up IRAs for his kids, including my wife when she was very young. He trusted Edward Jones so much he also opened up accounts for his grandchildren. He trusted Edward Jones with his entire family. The "advisor" he trusted was Skip Breither (Nonfiduciary), down in Green Valley. The whole family thought of Skip as a long-time family friend, who used to ask how the family is doing, watched the kids grow up, etc.etc. So much he was thought of as a family friend, my Mother-in-law even made him and his wife dinners when his wife was in the hospital, which they willing took. Anyway, I'll cut to the chase...I came into the picture and started looking at my wife's financials as far back as 2014. I noticed some very questionable things. I asked, why has my wife's account in 10 years not grown and at very most minimally made any return? How has my wife's account been open since she was single digit age and now in her late 30's made so little. I started asking questions, I then look at the kid's accounts, also handled by Skip.... same thing, very little returns and minimal movement. Then a strange thing happens, out of nowhere, Skip transfers ALL of the family's accounts to another Agent, Jennifer Nosek, in Tucson without any notice. After so many years of being my wife's family's "Advisor" and supposed friend he "dumps" them and with no real reason, not even a phone call. The way that we found out the accounts were moved was a notice from the new agent for an introductory visit to go over the accounts. The appointments were made but this time I went along with a long list of questions. We didn't get too far into my list of questions before their (Edward Jones' and Skip's) deception and practices became apparent. My first question: "Was Skip Breither a Fiduciary with my wife's, kids and in-laws accounts.... Her answer was "No". My next question / statement was: "Why was there so little growth/return in their accounts? Did Skip act in the best interest of his clients and make moves or changes to help grow the accounts?" Her very "careful" response was: "Well, it's not necessarily how I would have handled your accounts.". So, in short, NO. My next comment was "So in comparison a person with minimal or basic investing knowledge could have taken their entire investment that they trusted Skip and Edward Jones with and just put it in a free account at Fidelity or Schwab and invested in the S&P 500 with almost no fees, the result would have been far better than what you guys did in 40 years. Her honest response (which I appreciate) was YES, you would have had a higher return and gains. At that point I was already done and our minds were made up. Skip Breither was a "scum bag" and so was Edward Jones for supporting these practices. To wrap it all up when Jennifer figured out, we would be taking ALL of our accounts and business somewhere else, her and her secretary became the most uncooperative, unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Even to go as far as to yell at my wife and myself on the phone when we were trying to transfer all the accounts to another firm. They made what should have been an easy and seamless process into a fight, that lasted months. And no joke their excuse was "Well, you're leaving us, so why should we want to help you or make things easy." Seriously, no joke, that is what Jennifer's secretary told us over the phone, verbatim. To wrap it up, my advice DO NOT trust Edward Jones, their deceptive practices or their awful, unprofessional, deceitful, two-face agents. And if you're still a client or thinking about it signing up with them, don't be fooled by the smile and "how's your family" b**lsh*t. They don't care; they'll shake your hand and act like your friend but behind your back rip you off. I think that's the main reason this review probably "sounds" so angry. My family trusted Skip for so damn long and thought of him as a trusted person but sadly, my family fell for that trap over 40 years. That is why I use the term "scum bag". Save yourself, do your research, it's easy. Good luck!
