From what I was told, it's the last standing restaurant from the 60s around there and family owned by a woman named Joy. I read on the menu that if the owner hugs you, you're officially family. Sure enough, Joy came over and gave me the biggest hug. In a time where places like this are disappearing, this felt truly special. She knew people by name, talked to everyone, and made the whole restaurant feel like a community. Honestly felt honored just being there. Now the food. Absolutely incredible. They have a real smoker in the kitchen and you can smell it the second you walk in.
