If you want a very fruit forward honeydew then this is the place to get it! I don't say this as a negative, but essentially the best way to put it is as if this place blended some honeydew straight into my drink and others use artifical flavoring lol. I loved it. Very pleasantly surprised! The location is in a somewhat random location very close to Stratford High School off Dairy Ashford near I-10. We tried the taro smoothie with boba and it was quite good. I went here and I loved it. The staff greeted us we walked in, and allowed us time to read the menu without judgment before placing our orders. I got the passionfruit green tea and it was absolutely delicious! my family got two other drinks, and they both rated them a 9.5 and the overall experience and place a 10! Been on a mission lately to try new tea houses and finally gave this place a try. Have to be honest, I was a bit skeptical about this place but I've now added it to my regular rotation. Located across the street from the high school, it's definitely worth a visit for those that enjoy a refreshing drink on a hot day. I've yet to try their milk teas, but based on the quality of the fruit teas, I'm sure it'll impress too. The price here is also very reasonable. As I mentioned in other reviews, other places are charging $6+ for smaller cups and sometimes lesser quality. Call me crazy, but I prefer when fresh fruit is used to make fruit teas. Orange pineapple tea 5/5 (50% sweet): Super refreshing on a hot day. Can taste the orange and pineapple and like that they don't dump orange juice in the tea and call it orange tea. Lychee rose tea 5+/5 (75% sweet): Wow! A new favorite. I love lychee and I love rose, so this combination is fantastic. I can taste both, and the balance of flavors is great. I've tried versions of this at other places and it comes off very artificial. Vietnamese coffee 4/5: I'm not a coffee drinker so not took a sip. It was good imo but don't have a lot to compare it against. Lychee Jamaica 4/5: I enjoyed the flavor quite a bit but wasn't sure if this was supposed to be a slushie or what. The jelly had a nice consistency. 3.5/5 * Vietnamese coffee with coffee jelly- Strong & had a fair share of bitterness to it. Great drink if you're trying to wake up or stay awake. The jelly tasted amazing. 4.8/5 * Mango milk tea (25% sugar)- I had high expectations for this drink unfortunately it tasted a bit watered down. The mango flavor was weak & so was the tea. Not sure if it was their off day or they were rushing but I was so disappointed. Considering mango is my go to drink this one was left to be desired. 2/5. I hate to say that I did not have the same great experience that other yelpers had at Bobo Tea. I ordered the Singature Milk Tea and loved it. I especially like the boba, it was fresh and soft. What I didn't like was the service I received that day. Perhaps I came on a bad day but there was only one person who was working on a busy day. She was taking the orders and then making the drinks. This led to a very long line out the door and it was clear she was stressed. She rushed us when it was our first time and got frustrated when we changed our mind halfway through our order. Perhaps she is just an employee and management forgot to schedule another person to assist. Or perhaps another employee got sick or called out. Bobo Tea is what the westside Houston needs as they are a great boba milk tea shop with a good selection of delicious and refreshing tea to enjoy. It was a challenging time as they open shop right when the pandemic started here in Texas. To be honest, the owners reach out on social media ahead of time on letting people know that they will try to re-open with a limited hour to see if they can survive this. I was definitely one of the first few customers to try their beverages when they re-open in late March. I am glad that I have a chance to try them and their drinks are definitely great quality and the price is affordable. They have a very innovative menu where offering drinks other places may not have. I have tried their basic milk tea as a starter since that's what I use to gauge it comparing to other milk tea places. I like the taste of their tea and the tapioca balls are nice and chewy but not too hard. As I mentioned this is during the pandemic time, I do like how they have a small limited in-door seating but every time I have gone, customers are usually to get it to-go.
