There are very few ingredients for a good Caesar salad: 1. Romaine lettuce. 2. Freshly shaved Parmigiana 3. Croutons and 4. Dressing. There are a lot of Caesar dressings, but fresh-made with anchovies or anchovy paste is best. Still, there are a few ready mades that will serve in a pinch. So I was amazed at what the cook at this Bob's did. We wanted a quick snack & my wife & I each ordered one. Leaf lettuce. Mine with no parmigiana- & hers with some waded up clumps of shredded bits, no croutons on either, but a piece of lightly toasted bread on top. The dressing was some sort of bottled green goddess. Thick cut bacon. Mushrooms. Swiss. All blended really well. Smash Burger (5): Another winner. Smashed patties that were charred nicely topped with american cheese. 3 street tacos (4): I got 2 pork and 1 chicken. They were pretty good but didn't feel like they were anything super special for 5 bucks each. So the theme here is, everything is pretty decent. The prices are way too high. The menu was far more limited than it used to be and they didn't have some of my old favorites on the menu anymore My husband had the prime rib dip which was underwhelming. Driving through town on a trip to see our daughter and we decided to stop someplace for dinner. We were greeted right away with a friendly smile and seated in Heather's section. There was a table of 10 also seated in this area. We gave her our order and then she took their order. We ordered mozzarella sticks and their keg potato app as well as a Caesar salad. About 15 or 20 minutes later, our apps came out with Heather saying "don't know why it took so long, we're having a strange night". She also informed us that she hadn't put our salad in since it was really fast. We wish she would have asked us before making that decision because we were hoping the dinner would be quick (which was why we ordered the apps). Our apps were very lukewarm (but edible, and we were hoping to be quick so we didn't say anything) so I'm not sure if the kitchen was having the strange night or if it was Heather forgetting about our order. Immediately after she brought us our two apps, all of the food - full meals - for the table of 10 was all brought out. Soooo, seems like it was Heather having the "strange night". I was here a few years back and left very disappointed and, in turn, I left my review. Didn't think I'd come back but circumstances placed here last night. I ordered the French dip with request to add on mushrooms and grilled onions along with potato salad. It was so good I came back tonight. I liked that I could customize my meal as it what extras I wanted to add. So I have raised my initial rating from 1 to 4. Service was much better this time and the food was served up fast and hot. Good dinner spot with the family! Usually come for birthdays and dinner and never had a bad meal or bad service. The food here isn't too bad and it comes out pretty fast. The staff has always been so nice and helpful. They're pretty accommodating to people with food allergies and picky eaters as well. The overall vibe of the place is pretty nice. They have really big windows that are nice to look out of during sunset. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a decent bite to eat. read more

As a group, we had a couple burgers, a sandwich, and a Squirrel Sandwich (no actual squirrel involved - it's a version of a prime rib dip). The burger was good. Perhaps not something you'd write home about, but it was tasty and a good value. The sandwich was similarly, good, but nothing spectacular. The Squirrel Sandwich was reviewed as "fine, but probably better to get a burger in a place called "Bob's Burgers." We had various versions of fried potatoes - all were good. Portions were significant, so it seemed like a good value -- that's something that's harder and harder to find these days. The restaurant was modern and clean, creating a nice atmosphere. Again, perhaps not something to write home about, but worth the price of admission. Service was good - prompt, attentive, and friendly. Great service and excellent food. I had the prime rib sandwich it was tender and plentiful. My husband had the fish platter the cod was nice and fresh. My margarita was tasty. It's within walking distance of the Fairfield hotel. I highly recommend the onion rings. read more

We ate here a couple times on this trip. There was something for everyone in our crew. The first night when we stopped in for dinner, I had the Taco Salad. There was a choice of beef or chicken, I went with chicken. It had grilled, seasoned chicken along with cheese, lettuce, tomato, black olive, green onion, salsa, sour cream and tortilla chips. I swear I was working on it for the better part of an hour and it never seemed to run out. It was a generous portion. My husband enjoyed the Bacon, Avocado Chicken Salad. He said that one was a winner. They had a nice selection of beers on draft. Of course, given the season, we went for the hoppy ones. I'll combine and give a rundown of visit 2. We went for lunch a few days later and I tried the Cuban sandwich. It was excellent. There was enough for me to take half with me at the end. I selected jo-jos for my side. They were hearty, thick potato wedges. I asked for a side of Chipotle mayo for dipping. Yum! The staff was engaging and fun. The location is great. We were able to walk from our hotel both times. In the evening, they have a really nice outdoor seating area with a fire wall. It isn't really a pit and more of a divider between the patio and the outside world. read more

Stopped by for lunch as we were passing through town. Per an app and Yelp, they showed a great deal of gluten free options which is always a great thing for those who need it. We came when they opened up so seating was super quick. We had a burger and a salad. Portions are generous. Burger came on a brioche bun and overall was decent. Had Jo Jo's with it and they were fine. Server was friendly. Booth seat could use a bit more padding in my opinion. You need a code to the bathroom, but nice and clean. This is one of the most horrible experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I've been to many Bob's and always been able to order more than 3 drinks - this place says there's a limit because it's a family restaurant. Which is absolutely ridiculous - is Applebees a family restaurant? Is Red Robin a family restaurant? I've never encountered this excuse anywhere else. If you have a 3-drink limit, please inform people of that on your menu. Which honestly, I think is bull because the hostess did not know that and only after going to the bartender was that drink denied. It took about a half hour between those three drinks, so honestly I think it was that the bartender was just unbelievably incompetent and lazy. They clearly were having significant issues when it wasn't even busy. I know the manager will have a nasty response to me here as they did on the google reviews and as they have to many other people. I would ask what made you uncomfortable with me ordering another drink when the hostess that took the order didn't see any problem? She took the order very happily with no hesitation. It was only when taking the order to the bartender that there was a problem - which is interesting when the bartender never saw us for two seconds, so what was making them uncomfortable? Also interesting that your response doesn't acknowledge any 3-drink rule -- so apparently that was a complete lie, as I already thought. The bartender being too lazy to make another drink is the whole problem here - maybe hire a new bartender that isn't completely incompetent instead of blaming your customers behavior that you didn't even witness. I guess just sitting there quietly in a booth doing nothing makes the employees uncomfortable, maybe you shouldn't have a restaurant open at all in that case if you're so averse to serving people. read more

Bob's Burgers and Brew!!! Uuuh Yes!!! This place rocks. I always leave Bob's with a smile! The restaurant itself is always comfortable and clean. I generally sit in the bar side, a booth or at the bar. The staff is always pleasant and fun to interact and talk to. They always seem to be happy to be there and serving you, for the most part. Or they are putting on a good act. LOL. The food selection is pretty good. I'm not a big eater, so I generally get the BLT, which Bob's does an awesome job at. The fries that come with it are amazing. The selection of beer is decent. I usually keep my selections between Coors Light, Top Cutter or Irish Death. They also have a good selection of mixed drinks. The selection should suit any average drunk's needs. LOL. I love Bob's and I make it a habit to come here as much as I can when visiting Yakima, WA. read more

Farms all around with ground beef ...and for $13 I get a frozen patty over cooked on a dry bun with see through cheese. I am not just complaining. We tried to give them a chance to fix it. We sat in the bar Sunday. Waited for 15 minutes. No acknowledgement. We're served soggy potato skins without silverware or a plate for sharing. Then waitress disappeared again without taking our order. Dirty dishes sat on the table next to our table for most of our meal. Just sloppy service average food. Fries were served cold. We didn't even have a chance to tell our waitress as they were just so slow. We ate cold food and left without tipping. Try harder next time. Misleading for sure. Nice pictures on menu. When food comes it's like cafeteria food. Have a little pride. Burger spot. It's in the name. Little effort from you guys but for sure you want my money at the end. Total waste of money. I have never felt so disregarded at a restaurant by any of their employees as I was tonight. I called right at the opening to make reservations for a family of 10 for my husband's birthday for a family dinner at 615. We had been in there a few times and been served by Tyler. He is AWFUL. We consistently have to ask for things he forgets, ask for refills. He doesn't check back once you get your food. We have never said anything. But tonight, tonight was absolutely unacceptable. We are there often, so you can check and reference how many times he has waited on us. Tonight, not only did he neglect to bring my water after only ordering it to drink, we also had to ask for refills for the table. He forgot to take my husband's order (I had to remind him). He got my father in law's order wrong. When he brought the food he didn't not bring the sauces my husband ordered. My son in law ordered a BOWL of POTATO soup to go to my daughter who was home sick. He said he would bring it right back. NEVER came back to refill or ask how food was. My father in law's fish was still frozen in the middle. He was unable to eat it. When my Mother in law asked for a box and a cup for the au ju he kept asking her if she wanted new au ju in which she said no. I then reminded him we needed the soup. He came back, gave my mother in law a cup, no box, and handed us a " cup " worth of soup. I think they literally measure out 1 cup. When we tried to correct him he became argumentative. Upon bringing the issue to the managers attention, the manager then became rude and argumentative telling us he is the best waiter they have. Allowed Tyler to argue about how he did not mess up, all for me to open the measly amount of soup to have it also be the wrong soup. The manager merely took the soup and my father in laws fish off but was not willing to actually do any kind of actual discount or courtesy. We did insist he remove the gratuity as we were not leaving a tip. As I said, we go there often. We were not looking for a free meal. But this service was beyond unacceptable. I really am hoping this makes it to someone who can address this issue. ALL of us at our table felt the server was impaired. read more

Bob's burgers and brews is one of those solid places that you can go just about anytime you're looking for a good burger, salad or sandwich. Our night here tends to be whatever night the kids have soccer at one of the nearby complexes. The place will ultimately remind you of a red robin type establishment with fewer burger options, but I comparable overall menu and experience. The place is also a little bit nicer as far as actual decor and overall presentation goes. There's plenty of seating on the main floor, in a partially secluded room up a few stairs and then in the bar. Lots of TVs and plenty of different beer and wine options for those were just going to catch a game. The burgers here are always really good. Presentation is nice, The sizes are hearty and the taste is always excellent. More recently we brought and our experiences into the salads and those were, as expected, also very good. Another thing we appreciate is that they humor our kiddos who often will ask if they have shark and chips. We were provided with some excellent shark and chips at our last visit - both of our boys appreciated it! Certainly not the nicest restaurant you'll ever go to, but not the worst and consistently very good. Well worth the trip, whether it be with friends, family or by yourself. read more

I had to look all the way to page 5 on the Yakima restaurants site to find something that was open on a Monday night and stayed open after 7 p.m. that wasn't fancy and pricey. Bob's fit the bill. We wanted something casual after a long day of traveling. I have finally learned that if we wait until after 7:15 p.m. to go eat in a place that has long wait times, we usually get seated very quickly. True here. I ordered shrimp with onion rings. It was good, but I really overdid it in the greasy food category. Not diet friendly at all. Maybe a little bit too much batter on the shrimp, but I still enjoyed it. Also enjoyed a local craft beer. It gives the illusion of something big and special - with large, colorful menus and a hip and happening vibe - but in reality it is a decent burger shack in which the majority of the ingredients were previously frozen and nothing is really made from scratch or overly fresh. Nothing wrong with that - it is a niche within a given market - just don't expected to be overwhelmed. We went during COVID - so seating was outside. Service was quick and friendly. Portions ample. But once again - nothing to write home about. We've been when it was normal operations - at the time - service was fine - food the same - and prices are a bit high considering the location.
