we were SO excited to come here to get pho after a grueling hike and 2 hour drive to get here. the service was great, our service was friendly and prompt. the food also came out quickly which was a plus but was also likely due to the restaurant being otherwise empty (with the exception of one other table that was leaving). the spring rolls were yummy although i do think those are hard to mess up. we each got a pho, and i got the combo beef pho. it was pretty good and a decent portion size, although there could've been a bit more noodles. there was a good amount of meat though and the broth was good. definitely not the best pho i've had but it wasn't disappointing that's for sure, and that's a relief considering how starving we were from our hike! read more

Used to be great place. I understand the higher costs of food and the need to either increase prices or reduce the portions served. Not only have the very skimped serving size of the Protein, it's in a massive bowl full of broth and filled with more noodles. The broth itself have obviously changed as well. The quality used to be great. I'd be ok with smaller portions or and increased price, but not both. Mom's Dishes is not far away. Far better quality and flavor. Meatballs are small and beef cuts and CUT were shoddy. It's 1/2 the portion a pho bowl should be, veggie, noodles, meat. That being said $14 dollars a bowl isn't a total loss, I'd pay $2 more for a better and larger bowl though somewhere else. All reviews for over a year ago were from previous owners. **I can only do this review based off of the food that I had. A coworker went and picked up the food and ordered it for me.** I ordered the Vietnamese special #7 Phö. This one has no meat or tofu in it. It is their signature broth with noodles and bean sprouts to be added. Due to me working on a mobile medical unit I was not able to enjoy the full meal with all the noodles and the bean sprouts, but I was able to enjoy the broth and some noodles in the to go container that they gave me. I must say that the broth is very flavorful on its own Even dunking in the noodles. Every time my coworker is in town he goes to this location. One can say he has an addiction for.Phö. I I agree with him that this place was good, and I would be willing to try it again when I am back in town. read more

Very good food. I was in town for a delivery and wanted something different. Ordered take out. They separated all the hot items from the cold so food items wouldn't get compromised in travel. Once I was ready to eat I assembled my meal and the seafood pho was so good - way above my expectations. I also had dumplings - they had good flavor and were super fresh tasting. The ladies at the counter were super friendly and gave me any extras I asked for and greeted me with friendly faces and wonderful attitudes. I'm so happy I tried this place. Drove from West valley to order a beef pho carry out at 7:45. I walked in and there were people eating inside, and I waited in line behind someone else that was picking up his order he called in. I was in Yakima for a tennis tournament this past weekend, and my team and I needed food to refuel before our next match. We originally wanted teriyaki, but most teriyaki places were closed on Sundays except for Wok Teriyaki. I saw Pho King Crab next door to Wok Teriyaki, but everyone else wanted teriyaki, so I just went along with them. However, I noticed that people sitting down had teriyaki plates and pho. The two restaurants were connected and affiliated with each other! I was debating between getting the Tofu Teriyaki and the Seafood Pho, but decided to go with the Seafood Pho. I'm so glad I did, because it was packed with lots of meat and noodles. There was no skimping on ingredients at this place! My pho had 4-5 shrimp, 3 pieces of artificial crab meat, 2 fish balls, and at least 1/4 cup of mini scallops plus two cups of vermicelli noodles. For once, there was more noodles than broth. I only have a couple of complaints about this place. First, the broth seemed a little diluted; it did not have a dark concentrated color but was more or less translucent. But on the other hand, it wasn't overly salted which was good! Second, the tables were clean, but the floor was dirty and had not been swept for a long time. Coming from Seattle, I honestly wasn't expecting any good asian food in Yakima; Pho King Crab was a pleasant surprise. Great service and good quantity and quality for the price! read more

Good solid bowl of Pho! The Seafood Pho is filled with tiny bay scallops, shrimp, fish balls, imitation crab, tho good, I would say the stock was on the sweet side for my taste. Lots of good things about this place. It feels clean and spacious, staff is pleasant, the food is decent, and they give good size portions. The flavors were a little off for me and the meat a bit dry but still good overall. I ordered C5 which is a blend of chicken and short ribs. It costs $18.50 which is a pricey for me but the meal could feed two people. I ended up eating less than half and took the rest home for dinner. My husband ordered pork and rice. It's very clean and the service is super good but the food is the best can't complain about it!

We walked up to the register at the other end of the store only to then be seated. No one waits for you at the door. A cook or the presumed husband notices you and gives you a menu and tells you to take a seat after you have made it to the front. He never set down his infant as we were serviced. As in it was always being held in his arm while he ran th register, served, etc. Was not very clean either. EDIT: I want to note this experience was in 2015. It simply did not post and was "unfinished" until I stumbled upon it today. read more

I want to start off by saying that if I could give Pho King Crab a 3.5, I would. Personally, I have had better 4 star pho, but considering the other options around Yakima, it is perfectly acceptable. The price isn't outrageous and is about normal for a bowl of pho that will satisfy and that you won't regret. Been eating here since last owners, really good food and clean environment, but something that amazed las time I was there is, homeless guy comes in seats down and most people would just throw him out, instead a lady comes out and gives Him food, He walks out and she comes and sanitizes the table, I offered to pay for that meal and she refused then I asked how often he comes in, she replied every day with a smile on her face. This is the only Vietnamese place I know of in Yakima where you can get pho! It's expensive (about $11) for a beef pho and it tastes pretty good. I can come here consistently in the winter when I'm craving hot and spicy pho :) This restaurant is connected to the teriyaki place and so there are more options now. Oh entendre, it's amazing when you mean two things! Imagine our excitement when we found out there was a Pho spot in town. Ever since being introduced in Seattle a decade ago, this has become a go to staple anytime it's cold outside. We found the stuff here to be good enough that it may just be the cure for a frozen heart or one that is many sizes too small! Seriously, the Grinch would cheer up if he came here. The spot is located in the same strip mall as Ninos and as such the delicious ratio (deliciousness per square foot) is as high as anywhere in the valley! Inside, it's a humble spot with seating for probably 50 people. Accommodations range from small tables to large tables and they also have takeout. The offerings on the menu were more plentiful than I was expecting. The majority of places we've ever been have different renditions of beef and chicken, however here they've got beef, chicken, meatballs, seafood and veggie options. They also have Bahn Mi, Vietnamese coffee and bubble tea if it suits your fancy. The Pho overall was excellent. The broth had really nice flavor, the noodles were really good and it came with all the appropriate Fixin's. They were right around eight dollars for a bowl and that easily said two of us. For our family (2 adults, 2 little dudes) we got two bowls and it was more than enough. The Vietnamese iced tea was also excellent. A little bit on the sweet side, but not like drinking hummingbird water. Service was quick and the folks here were super nice and doing everything very authentically. We got out of there for about $25 with tip and everybody was very satisfied. All in all, this place is a total win in somewhere that you should absolutely try. read more

After reading all the reviews, I had huge hopes. After ordering their spring rolls, a bun, and a pho bowl, we were pretty happy but not totally. The highlight was definitely the spring rolls. One order came with three rolls cut in half. The size and quality were excellent. The skin was soft and you could tell it was made fresh unlike many Vietnamese restaurants where they make it ahead of time and the skins is all cold and chewy/hard. The bun was really good. Plenty of grilled pork and fresh veggies. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his dinner. As for my pho, the beef, brisket and tripe were plenty swimming in the bowl and the quality was great. However, there were some issues which wouldn't make this my favorite pho place. The broth is king so it has to be top notch to come just for pho. Well, their broth was extremely sweet. Not good. I threw in some chirracha to mask the sweetness and made it edible. The other subpar thing were the meatballs. It was mushy and not as tasty as other restaurants. Lastly, the noodles were over cooked and too soft. It was still fine to eat but there were no chewiness like pho noodles should have. Overall, the quality and quantity of meat here in their orders are great. They just need to fix their broth and noodles. read more
