My LG refrigerator from Costco stopped working with an "FF E" error code. Due to it being 2.5 years…read moreold (outside the 2 year warranty), I had to get it fixed myself. He came out and opened the freezer door, noted the frost on the inside and proceeded to tell me the freezer fan was not providing cooled air to the refrigerator and the ice was preventing the fan from circulating. This was all correct. He then stated that the frost build up was due to "insulation going bad" and I need to contact LG to see if they will replace it and that "there was nothing" he could do. In less than 5 minutes of arriving, said "that'll be $85." I was stunned and told him to point out the cold spots on the back of the fridge that he said he found. I couldn't feel them and he then got a laser thermometer. My house thermostat is set to 69°F and the coldest spot he found on my refrigerator was 67°F. I refused to pay him. Do not use him. Full stop. I am sadly not surprised there is another review on here from someone else who he did the same thing to. I used another business that actually has a reputable track record and a professional technician will at least provide an actual diagnosis and total cost upfront. He didn't even look up the error code.

However on December 23rd…read morewhen my dryer stopped tumbling and the wife wanted a dryer under the Christmas Tree, I figured there was a 1st for everything. I sent Blessed Appliance and four other businesses a direct message to find out the cost for estimate, travel and repair. Considering that it was Christmas Eve / Christmas I expected to get response after the holidays. Nope, I got an immediate response from "Hope". Happy with the quote, I contacted "Lorenzo" to set up an appointment. Lorenzo scheduled me for 6pm on December 27th. He was able to walk me through what he expected was wrong with the dryer and a price without surprises. I greatly appreciated that he kept in contact with me throughout the day to let me know that we were good for 6pm. Lorenzo showed up promptly at 6pm and was ready to work. He was super friendly, talkative and very knowledgeable on appliances. Within minutes of his arrival he fully disassembled the dryer. He replaced the belt, rollers and overall a new kit to keep dryer running hopefully another 10 years! Lorenzo advised me that Maytag set we have is a great pair and that they just need a little TLC. Before Lorenzo was about to leave, I asked him if he could check out the washer because it wouldn't click over once filled with water. He advised that is was a simple sensor and for an additional charge, he could fix it. Ten minutes later, it was done, YES!!
