Brought my car with a check engine light. Waited over 4 hours while they changed an o2 sensor and sprayed a lot of cleaning products. Hinted I may need a new catalytic converter. $600+ dollars later, check engine light is on and I am offered no credit towards further service. I took it to Kia who told me my cat converter is in perfect condition and functioning properly. No. I will not be returning. Bob's slogan is "we take care of neighbors". Right. Finding an auto repair shop is a challenging thing. We started going to Bob's years ago when we lived in Chino. It was by far the best place to go in the area. About five years ago we moved away from Chino. We now split our time between. Scottsdale and Prescott. We still take our cars to Bob's for everything. Long winded post: I am from phx and was in chino valley for work and my car broke down. I got towed to Bob's by AAA and it turned out that my car was being recalled by the dealership and I needed to get it serviced in phx for it to be covered. However, I couldnt get towed for another 48hrs. Bob was gracious enough to keep my car at his shop even though he did not get to work on it. He assured me it would be safe and was so kind to me. I live in the Chino Valley - Paulden area here in Arizona and I drive truck mostly over the road or have for the past 25+ years. I've been looking for a mechanic or shop that can do my personal repairs on my vehicles and have been looking for quite some time. It seems like every time I've needed work on my vehicles it has always cost me over $1000.00. And I'm not talking big major repairs. This time I got lucky, I had a fuel line on a toyota pickup that rubbed thru on the frame and was pumping fuel all over the place - and I happen to find Bob's Complete Auto Repair online so I had the tow service take my truck there. Everyone there was on point, knew what they were doing, very professional, and easy to deal with. I use this vehicle to go back and forth to Phoenix so I don't have to park my new pickup in the heat while I'm on the road. They did a great job with the repair, it was done by the next day, and the price was phenomenal. I was starting to think I wasn't going to find a company that was fair and reasonable but this company went way above that mark - I will not take my vehicles anywhere else. Bob is available, knowledgeable and kind - his staff is also so knowledgeable that it is difficult to imagine ever needing Bob to get an issue resolved. I phoned yesterday and informed Bob that I failed to make an appointment for an AC repair for my son in law who had traveled from Tucson. I have been dealing with Bob for several years. Having a Ford F250 Diesel 4x4 and a Nissan Xterra 4x4, both have been regularly serviced at Bob's. The diesel has had the alternator, fuel injector module, and valve cover gaskets replaced over the years, as well as other smaller issues, and I have never, ever had any issues with Bob or any of the service people when it came to getting the repairs done. Nor do I feel I have ever been overcharged or scammed. This business is quite reliable, and I would recommend it to others, and have done so. Service writer was rude has terrible body language gives the vibe he doesn't want to do his job. seemed quite lazy doesn't make eye contact when talking would rather stare at the computer screen and only takes in 1/3 of what is being said about my vehicle.no real flow.seemed that no care is taken to ensure a smooth transition of info to the techs.Over heard a conversation between the front end and techs it seemed the techs couldn't quite understand what the service writer was trying to put down on paper..noticed a substantial amount of cars out side and only two mechanics. so quality of work performed will be sloppy from having to rush and push threw their work..i have read other reviews for this shop and i believe they are paid actors to boost this shops reputation. Ive been around the country and seen better with a lower reputation. would not recommend this shop read more

Ended up in Chino Valley due to the death of my father in law. While spending a very busy and emotional week my axle seal went out in my 2001 F 250 worse yet the clock was ticking to drive back some 800 miles back to our home in California. Bobs had it fixed in a day meanwhile while driving my brother in laws f 250 the water pump went out. They were also able to fix that by the end of the day. Hello there I have had the pleasure of dealing with Bob the owner 2 times so far and by please I am being very sarcastic. I have brought my vehicle to bobs a few times and have always dealt with Travis who is very nice and kind the last few times I have dealt with Bob .. he informed me that I needed a new battery for my car and quoted me a price .. when I went to pay that price went up about 40 bucks and when I said something to him he said I misunderstood him .. I then said I know what I heard. Then in that same visit his mechanic and himself said I needed new rear struts and quoted me $1300 in work that had to be done. I about had a heart attack and when Bob was explained struts to me I felt his additude to me was that Im a idiot and he thought I didnt know what struts were so I asked a question and he then said excuse me Im not finish talking.. well excuse me... then I have family members that know cars so I brought my car to a very trustworthy mechanic my family has dealt with for years and he informed me that there is nothing wrong with my struts and then he was mad because he sees car shops take advantage of young women.. now if I didnt bring it to someone else and just took Bobs word for if they would of be scaming me out of $1300 dollars. Then I had to make an appointment for an oil change I am a nurse and was called into work so I had to change that appointment a few times which I appologized for and Bob then laughed and said how many times have you changed this appt.. well thats about it for me I will NEVER go back to this place .. the only thing I feel that is complete about Bobs complete auto repair is the fact Bob is completely dishonest read more

I'll try to not drag on. Bob can be a very angry, rude man to repeat, paying customers. My dad had used this guy before and said no complaints. This nice man, my dad, knows as much about a car as he does brain surgery. He's a very accomplished artist, that get's "art commissions" based on his personal reputation and beautiful works dating back to the early 70's. He doesn't have to look for work. He was dropped off to p/u his car. Bob was his cashier that day. He likes to know how things work. He started asking basic questions about what was done. After about the 3rd question, he said Bob turned bright red and started yelling at him with other customers waiting in the lobby. When he got home he told me what Bob said. "If I took the time to try and explain the most basic of auto repairs to idiots like you, I'd be out of business!" My dad has always be an honest person, who didn't exaggerate, rather played down confrontations. He just shuts down. He said to me, "well maybe Bob is having a busy day." And walked back to his studio. The role Bob was playing that day is called customer service. Jobs relegated to teenagers. I'm 45 and work as an Ad Consultant. My job relies heavily on people skills. Bob's little one shop operation should too! I almost drove to "meet" with Bob. I'm 6'4", 260 lbs. When I lay my hands on people, as an ex-bouncer at a biker bar for 3 years, they injured badly. I knew I'd end up in jail and get sued. So I'm asking you, please, go a few doors down to Doug's. Great work, at reasonable prices. As a true and knowledgeable ex-wrench, I can vouch for them. My Mom can go there, by herself and get the same deal I would've. They're respectful, and when it comes time to pay, they review each part replaced and why, without asking!! Bob defied all logic and raised to a yell, just to embarrass and demean my ever patient Dad and loyal to the end guy! The topper, my Dad said to me a little later, "I hope Bob doesn't yell at me next time..." I suggested Doug's after dropping in one day and asking questions like I knew nothing. We use them now exclusively with 4 cars and a truck. Doug's has been flawless so far. Please! Bob is not a stable man, as he demonstrated.
