While visiting friends in Prescott, we took our Audi A6 to Twin Lakes Auto to have the rear brakes checked because they were making noise. Josh and Jen were amazing. Not only did they find our brakes were fine but found the cause of the noise. It turns out we had a screwdrive kick up from the road and was scaping the inside of the wheel. New AC unit put in my 2015 Nissan rogue select. They quoted me over a bit over $900 which I thought to be accurate. When I returned to pick up my car, they informed me they found a cheaper part new this the price went down to a bit over $800. Went straight to yelp and found Twin Lakes, they're yelp is in great order with ppl praising not only their prices but the overall experience. Glad I choose them, I did call other Prescott auto places, but again, I'm glad I chose them. They quoted my recharge for my freon, and they came in under cost (their initial quote was better than the other auto shops I called). Not to mention the two fellas working there were super dope. I have a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with 35 inch off road tires. Bill's shop was recommended to me by a few friends. Took my Rubi over for a 5 wheel tire rotation. In addition to the rotation, they checked out the underneath skid plates and suspension components for proper tightness. They cut off the remains of retractable step. Fully trustworthy! Best in Prescott! I am overjoyed with the service I received here. I first took my truck to the Toyota dealership where they quoted me a $780 service to replace a hub and breaks after charging me $128 just to diagnose. When Toyota said it would take a week to work on my truck I decided to get a second opinion. Thank god I did! When I brought my truck here Dave was so friendly and assured me that even though they were very busy, they would find a way to fit me in. The next day dave called to tell me that after taking a look there was nothing wrong with my hub. They changed my breaks, bearings, checked my lines and did an oil change for under $150! When I came to pick up my truck Dave walked me through how to properly operate my 4wd and lock and unlock my hubs. He also took time to go over a maintenance plan for keeping my truck in top condition. Throughout my entire experience Dave treated me as if I was a family member or friend rather than just a customer. Coming off the mighty Route 89A, we got a dashboard alert that we had a low tire. We pulled to the side of the road and discovered a fast leak - a nail! Twin Lakes Auto was the first shop off of the 89A, so we stopped. Not sure of the mechanic's name, but he quickly came out and helped us. They do not do tires, so the help was minimal - he aired our tire up - and referred us down the road to Discount, said to mention them and they would hook us up. On Friday, 12-19-14, I had the opportunity to visit Bill Benson at this excellent repair shop. I was en route to California from Texas and had stopped in Prescott to visit family. The night before I was to leave for CA, my engine light came on. Fearing the worse, I spent the evening searching for reputable service centers in the area. Fortunately, I read good reviews about Twin Lakes Auto Service and called them about my problem. Bill was very helpful over the phone and encouraged me to bring my car in for analysis. I did so first thing in the morning and he scoped my car to determine the problem. He determined that my problem was most likely being caused by the freezing weather and the SAE of my oil. Story short, he was able to clear the problem codes and get me on my way to CA. He felt the problem would not return due to the warmer weather there and so far he was spot on. The amazing part is he did not charge me for his time or diagnosis. He was a tremendous help and I would highly recommend this shop for an honest evaluation of your mechanical problem.
