I said go ahead and check it out, called back in no time said it indeed was the switch I said go ahead. Once again hundreds of dollars less than what I was expecting. For the record, it is a bus stop. It's ridiculous that I can't park for literally five minutes to make sure my kids get on the bus safely, especially when the shop doesn't even open until 8 AM. There certainly wasn't a line out the door waiting to get in, and judging by other Yelp reviews, there likely won't be. Instead of being rude to parents trying to keep their kids safe, maybe focus on customer service -- it seems like that's already an issue here. If you just can't handle that the bus stop is in front of your business at 6:55am, I suggest you call the school transportation system and complain instead of being a crab.

This might have been what you were you referring to in regards to your normal two step process that eventually became, the master mechanic was looking at the process the entire time. Normally, The two step process is as follows: Hand tightened lug nuts in a crisscross start shaped pattern. That seats the wheel evenly! that never happened. Then the torque at specs. You know as well as I do the mechanic never set the wheel properly. This idea of the experience mechanic watching does not make any sense. If he was watching, and he was not, that has no impact of physically putting the wheel back on! You write well an must have been a very good story teller in school. I give you an A for that story! You know as well as I do, that I did not travel over 5 thousand miles in one month. That would have been one long trip. So whoever logged those miles might be the same person who set the pressure on the torque! Not so good with math!!! Sir, I don't appreciate being called a liar!! The tow truck driver, who was supposed to tow the vehicle never did. I told you that was were the vehicle was going not was there. Where you made up me telling you was locked in a yard-- not!! The tow truck driver never showed up because he claims the truck he sent had to flat tires in the back. Action Auto was the main place I took my truck in 7 years, and you never told me to change the old bolts, so if you had a concern you should have told me. Specifically during the last time you did the job on my tire in May 2026. You make absolutely no sense! Additionally, you told me anytime you change or replace wheels it is a two step process. You told me you torque and then wrench it. Then you told me after I question the process on the video that the 2nd step was the Eric was standing right there the entire time. He did even look the direction of the mechanic the entire time. I don't want to go back and forth with you, but I will say your really lacked professionalism. If I was an owner of a shop and there was any possibility that my shop was the last shop to remove an replace a tire, and that wheel came off. I would have offered more than warrantied parts. However, you don't need to worry about me i am out- I really don't think you cared at all about me! The manner in which the vehicle wheel was put back on is in question! Plus your two step process you claimed was not done. Unless the Veteran mechanic looking away from the work an' a virtually set the wheel. He's good and I like him but he is not that good.

If you read the reviews it's clear that this is NOT where you want to bring your vehicle…read more Unfortunately being newer to the area and in a tight bind, led me to bring in my car that wouldn't start. A local told me about this shop close to their home, however their only experience was with an oil change and when it had different management which I didn't find out till after it was too late. I have to say that everything about this shop was unprofessional. My vehicle was in their possession for over a week after the check engine light came on, overheating alert, and the vehicle wouldn't start. They were baffled as to what was wrong. They tried replacing a plastic part and kept me updated up to that point saying they were unable to pinpoint the issue. Finally they called to tell me they CHOSE to change out the starter and attempted to charge me $1,100- this was done without my authorization and without providing me with a quote or options for a starter. When I complained about being blindsided by this I was given this condescending response, "well you wanted your car to run didn't you? I mean we can take it back out and give you back a car that isn't running...". I felt manipulated into going along with he work they had done. After pity from the actual owner, they called me back to offer a discount and they charged me $500. I reluctantly paid for and picked up my car and of course within a couple of days the EXACT same issues occurred and the car wouldn't start. Ultimately, the issue was a frozen engine and I had to take it to another shop to get the full scope, details other finding of the vehicle that Auto Max couldn't figure out over the course of 2 weeks. Later when I called Eric the manager to discuss the matter, he immediately became defensive raising his voice and told me that I wasted their time by bringing my car back to the shop after their attempt at putting in a starter didn't resolve the issue)?! So I guess bringing in a vehicle that is having mechanical issues is beyond their scope of practice and additionally you'll be wasting their time by doing so. I was later told by the local tow truck driver who took my vehicle to a more reputable shop in PV that AUTO MAX in PRESCOTT does TERRIBLE WORK and they've towed many cars from there only to bring them to other more reliable shops. Again, please don't fall into the trap I did! Please take your vehicle somewhere else if you want professional and trustworthy work performed.

I had an awful experience with this shop and would not recommend them to anyone. I brought my car…read morein to have the transmission rebuilt. The owner called me and said it was the worst possible scenario and would cost the highest price they charge. I trusted them and paid the full amount, hoping to have a reliable car again. The car drove once and then wouldn't start. When I called to report the issue, they immediately tried to blame me--saying it must have been something I did. It turned out the computer programming (which they outsourced to another company across the street) was done incorrectly. I had to pay out of pocket to tow my car back to them, and the owner refused to reimburse me, arguing with me the entire time. They kept my car for another full week. When I finally picked it up, it started--but the A/C no longer worked, even though it was working perfectly before. When I called, the owner dismissed it and said it was just a "coincidence" that it went out at the same time. Every time I brought up a concern, he backpedaled to avoid responsibility. Later, a mechanic inspected the A/C and said it looked like parts were broken--right around where they would have installed the battery. On top of that, the incorrect programming kept frying my battery, and I had to buy two replacements. When I got my car back the second time, the brackets for the battery weren't even reinstalled--they were just left on the floor of the car. The final straw was when I noticed greasy, oily handprints all over the inside roof and visor above the driver seat. When I called to ask about it, the owner responded sarcastically with: "You're upset about a little dirt inside the car?" He was incredibly rude, did poor-quality work, broke things, and refused to take accountability for any of it. To this day--five months later--my car still isn't fully repaired. It continues to have issues, but I'm too afraid to bring it back to them even though I have a warranty through their shop. That's how little trust I have in them now. I ended up having to take out a second loan and buy a new car because I had already paid everything I had to fix this one--and they left me with an unreliable mess. This place caused more damage than repair and has zero professionalism or integrity. Avoid them at all costs.
