I drove my 72 F-100 4x4 here 9 months ago for a 4 week project. I call and no one answers. I have never have a call back from them. I leave messages and none are answered. My F-100 restoration with Bob was about 20 years ago and it was an awful experience. Bob ripped me off bad! One example I would like to share with everybody is the day I drove my F-100 off his property and got on the freeway and at about 60 MPH my steering column separated from the dash! I brought my 1957 f100 truck in for some work to be done on it , and was talked into over 10000.00 dollars of work to be done . We originally had a long and friendly conversation on the things that were supposed to be done on the truck outside in front of his shop. He said I would have a running and driving truck when it was done ( not even close) They were stealing parts off my truck during the build, and I demanded all the parts back . Once I made my first payment its was like I was dealing with a different person , he even tried to add over 3500 dollars to the estimate at the end to finish ))) I had to take it to another place to finish . Nightmare experience with this guy. Quoted me $12,000 for a 2-month job, Same job actually cost $18,000 and took 11 months. My truck was parked outside uncovered in the dust and weather most of this time. Gave me the truck to drive home in an unsafe condition. Sent it back, and it came back with many bugs for me to fix that weren't broken when I delivered the truck to his shop. ALWAYS an excuse that doesn't pass the smell test. If I could give negative stars I would. When I dropped off my truck, Bob the owner, quoted me with a "3 day job, but give me a week." He would replace the steering column and steering wheel. He quoted me and agreed to a 1700$ price. After 5 months of attempting to contact him and almost ZERO communication I still didn't have my truck. He did have a death in the family during that time, and it is understandable to need grieving time. The only time he answered my call was to let me know of this difficulty in his life, but that was 1 month after I left my truck at his shop. This was in December. He said he would begin work on my truck in January. January 30th and no call. During that time I called almost once a week to check in, but he " was never available." His employees were great, but the owner, horrible. Today is the day I finally had to almost pay a ransom to get my truck out of his shop. He tried to charge me 3,800$ in labor today. He was rude, no respect and horrible customer service, his wife just as bad. He didn't even finish the job. If I wouldn't have showed up today it would've been 5 more moths of this for a "1 week job." I had to involve my attorney to pay an extra 1,200$ just to get my truck. He even threatened to continue to keep it and charge me for labor and parking/hold. Bob will paint a pretty picture and although knowledgeable, is horrible at customer service. He wouldn't even let me pay with my card, even after I agreed to pay the extra $$. I just wanted my truck back. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a mechanic shop. read more

I called looking for a column shift lever for a manual transmission on a Friday and was told it was in stock and would be $25. I told the person on the phone that I couldn't get down there until Tuesday, he told me to call before I drove down to make sure they still had it. When I called on Tuesday he said he had it and the price was $35. I told him I was quoted $25 on Friday and he said he would honor that price. I drove 75 miles to pick up the part and after waiting around for the part to be located the owner told me the price was $95 because he had to pull the part from another column and that would ruin the column. It was the exact lever that had also been found sitting in a box. He told me he could let me have that one for $80. I left empty handed and found a reproduction lever thru a website for $30. Overall, the person at the counter was helpful and nice but then the owner walked in and he warned me that the price was about to triple. And triple it did. The owner was also pretty rude and acted very put out about finding the part I was looking for. I was also quoted $400 for a fender and $325 for a bumper. Thats an astronomical price. Needless to say, but I won't be going thru this business for any help with my restoration. read more

I had to do one star just to submit the review. I wasn't even a Yelp member but signed up just to be able to post this because I was so pissed. This guy is a total rip off. Every bit of work he did was crap. The motor he put in was totally tired and thrown together with mismatched parts. I finally got tired of the BS and actually had to tow my truck out of there. I had to have someone redo their wiring, replace the motor and trans. Better indication of the guy's character - I took my truck there with parts in the bed to use like trim, badges, and motor parts but when I asked about them before towing my truck out of there he said I had to prove the parts were there. Unfortunately I didn't think I needed to take pictures so I am SOL but I know what was there and that he kept it all. When I tried to argue he said he would charge me for storage and put a lien against the truck. Believe what people are saying. We can't all be making this stuff up! read more

This place is a bad business based on the service that I received. I took my 1955 there in July 2017 for a restore, I was told that the job would take between 4-6 months, at a cost of 15K. He would never take, or return any of my calls, and when I did talk to him he always had a personal issue as to why he hadn't gotten back to me. After 1 year, he finally painted the truck, and it was another 6 months before I could get it on Christmas Eve. He over billed for everything, and inflated all cost. How does a 15K estimate go to 40K?? After paying his shop manager and getting an invoice that says PAID IN FULL, he is still emailing me saying that I owe him another 10K... This guy should not be in business, as I see reading these reviews, he tries to do this to all his customers. VERY dissatisfied with the service received from BobsF100. He is now threating to take me to small claims court, for a balance that I don't owe, but I have all my ducks and paperwork in order, and he will end up paying me if he decides to go down this road. We only received a partial shipment of items ordered by phone, had to ask for an itemized receipt, and when a box went missing they wouldn't take responsibility for filing an investigation until we threatened to dispute the credit card charge. Time after time I have been displease with the product and then the customer service I received in trying to return the parts, BOB WILL NOT RETURN PARTS! It's because he knows the parts are not quality parts, they are second rate at best. Bob lies and lies! Stay away from this company. Spend a little time researching your product do not take Bob's word on anything. Do not let them charge your credit card on anything until you have the part(s). Absolutely 0 stars. These guys are crooks. I paid them $20000 for a complete finished truck. I took them boxes of original chrome parts to a 1955 Ford. After months of extensions against the stated time of completion I was not only given an unfinished truck, None off the parts that I had brought them were used used and when asked about this they got all defensive calling me a liar, and when trying to come to a resolution for this issue was told they would put a lien against my truck if it was not picked up. I would never recommend or go anywhere near this place ever. They have also been reported to the Better Business Bureau. read more
