My best friend and I stopped here for lunch while in town visiting West Virginia State Penitentiary. Prices are ridiculously reasonable and portion sizes generous. My friend got 2 eggs, bacon, home fries and toast for less than $4. Bob's Lunch has homemade fresh bread which makes for some amazing toast and sandwiches. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich and requested fries instead of mashed potatoes. I was surprised when the waitress asked what kind of fries I wanted - frozen, fresh cut or waffle. French fry options? Be still, my beating heart. Bob's also offers a large variety of homemade pies and other desserts. The 4 hour drive to Moundsville was worth it for the dining experience here alone. Stop in if you're in town. You won't regret it. read more

My favorite place for breakfast. They have the best special around. And their coffee is really good. Their regular menu is very good also. On certain days they give discounts to different workers like coalminers and pipeliners.We happened to go in when it was coalminer discount.We didnt know the policy on when you should and shouldn't tell them you were coalminer.It was packed we happened to get the last table.We ordered our meal,and was pretty good.I am not big Bob's lunch fan,My husband ate there was he was growing up and we got a christmas gift card so we poped in to use it.Like I said it was crowded.We saw they had 10% percent discount that day for miners.So when my husband went to pay he told the cashier and showed her his card.Talk about all bent out of shape she about threw hissy fit because he didn't tell her when we ordered he was coalminer.She refused to give him 10% discount.Because I guess it was to hard for hard to take the 10% off right there and then.Well that is just not how you do business,you want customers you honor that discount before or after they order.She was so wrong.It will be a long time before we return there to eat.I dont care if the food was good,you don't honor a persons discount there is a problem,then you don't need my business in the first place. read more

i have got to say that i have been to this establishment and i have been quite satisfied with what i have ordered from here to eat where do i start at your roast beef sandwich is a fourth quarter winning touchdown win at the superbowl and your country fried steak is a crispy tender and well seasoned with a little bit of kick in the back of my throat the steak is so tender and juicy and when i put it in my mouth it automatically melts in my mouth and your guys version of the big mac is a close to the real thing and your seasoned waffle fries have gotta little cajun flair from the seasoning and they are crunchy on the outside but a cloud like softness on the inside and your brown and white country gravy remind me of my grandmother's own gravy and your onion rings are exxtraa crispy and they are not at all bad and i have saved the best but certainly not least your guys own coconut cream pie is one hundred perfect a creamy flaky crust and so sweet that i can proudly say that if anybody is in need of a good ole meal that will fill them up come on down to bob's lunch where you can get a phenomenal meal at a great price and i recommend it if you are out of town and when it comes to a good customer service the employees will be sure to greet you with a big ole smile and they are the loving family members that you never knew you had so in all bob's lunch will make you feel like your at home. read more

Had heard about this little family restaurant. Was in town visiting family & decided to get meals to go. Ordered two different types of burgers with fresh cut fries plus a couple of other sides. The food is excellent; the prices are reasonable; the burgers were beyond our expectations!!! The waitress was busy & I had to wait for her to take our order but she did apologize and let me know she would get to me next. Obviously each waitress has certain tables and/or the counter seats to cover. This place is always busy from what I've seen & heard but well worth the wait. We got to sample their catering a different day when they did a wedding reception for friends of ours. Once again, really good food (I couldn't stop eating the mashed potatoes with the amazing gravy!!). If you want true home-cooked food, make this a must stop! Remember that they are closed by 8PM so no late night dinners here. read more
