Me and my fiancé just wanted to try this place because we past it a lot. Unlike my fiancé I am not really big on sub sandwiches. But as the saying goes "happy wife, happy life", with that being said I got a sub sandwich ‍. I am so glad I did, I decided to get a chicken cheesesteak and it was the best damn sandwich I've had in a while! No (my Jersey people) This spot is definitely a hidden - the bread was fresh and soft the chicken was seasoned to perfection and the cheese was delicious . We ordered three half subs, with a total of six slices of cheese and six slices of meat. I call that a wish sandwich. Unbelievably cheap quality. Very disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone. To do the math that's probably 3 oz of meat and 2 oz of cheese for $10 each. Oh and here's an update after throwing away well over 50% of our entire order due to the terrible taste. My lips are now numb as well as my wife's. I can only attribute it to either old bread, old meat or unusually sweet red wine vinegar. I never knew vinegar to be sweet except for maybe balsamic but leave it to Park avenue deli to serve only the worst. We have never had a sandwich that was this bad. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Cheap is definitely not the way to go and it is obvious that this is the direction that Bob feels makes him the most money I guess. Do not pay any mind to the 1 star reviews from years ago! By far this place has the best breakfast sandwiches in the area. They may be a little pricey but so worth it! I have never had an issue with their staff they're very friendly although some days they are running under staffed and just need us to be a bit patient. But if you're on the run you can always call ahead to order and it'll be ready probably by the time to get there. read more

My fiance and I are just finishing our scrumptious lunch here at the Park Ave Deli and are delighted with both the food and the service we received. The lunch special portions are incredibly generous for a phenomenal price ($6.95 for a hefty sized meat dish and 2 sides). The staff are ready to help and friendly. We are very pleased! read more

Their bacon egg and cheese bagels are very good. Love that cheesy goodness, with that crunch from the toasted bagel. Very hot, dont let it get cold or it will loose its "toastiness" and get soft. Cheers read more

Terrible! Besides from sandwiches no meat on them, you are not allowed to order a breakfast wrap. Although there is a sign on the wall that says turn any sandwich into a wrap. As per the grumpy overweight owner, "it takes too long to make" This place isn't like burger king, you can't have it your way. Anything breakfast comes out soaked in grease and dripping with butter. If you are completely starving and about to die stop here for a sandwich, otherwise don't waste your time and money. read more

I would put zero stars if that were an option. I just had one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a deli. I ordered a simple sandwich - provolone cheese with lettuce, tomato and light mayo on half of a sub roll. Seems simple enough. When she handed me the sandwich it was warm, which I thought was odd, but it was late and I was really hungry, so I left and found a nice spot to eat the sandwich. I was shocked when I opened it! First of all, it had some awful, greasy meat on it. I think it might have been corned beef, but I'm not sure, but it smelled funny. I absolutely didn't say ANYTHING to this young woman about meat. I asked for provolone, lettuce and tomato on a half sub. Anyhow, the mystery meat was very fatty, and when I took it off the sandwich it looked really old and dripped all over. It left a funny-smelling greasy residue all over everything else in the sandwich. Since it had been heated the lettuce was COOKED (UGH)!!! Who puts lettuce in the microwave? There was very little cheese, and it was melted and greasy from the fat in the mystery meat. The only redeeming quality was that the roll was soft and fresh. I'd already driven away and didn't want to take it back, and I was really hungry so I took off the mystery meat and ate what was left. I should have taken it back. It was SO GROSS that I almost felt like going home and drinking ipecac. I won't be surprised if the grease from that mystery meat gives me Montezuma's revenge later tonight. I am astounded that this young woman could have made such a huge error on something so very simple. this is more like a 3.5 star rating. i tried it today with a local flavor deal. I paid $10 for the coupon and got $20 worth of food. we got a chicken cheese steak and chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwich was a nice thick piece of chicken. The chicken cheese steak was your standard sandwich. We got two drinks and a side of coleslaw. With the price of the coupon and extra amount was $11.15. That was WELL worth it. Would i go back and pay $21.15 for that?? Probably not! Great deal with coupon and the food was good. read more

Breakfast sandwiches are great. Staff is pleasant. And the inside is pretty decent. Not sure what that other review was all about.

The inside of this place is 1/2 bodega, 1/2 deli counter. The sandwich itself was nice and meaty with good bread, but took a while because there was only 1 man behind the counter on a sunday. They also had some prepared foods in the glass case and hot food to order, but I just went with their super sub. I should have read what went into it, because it tasted like olives, which I hate and I'm not sure which meat made it taste like that. read more

For years this deli was the place for a good sub or sandwich, but lately it's gone down hill FAST. I asked an older gentleman "what is on a turkey club?" He says "three slices of bread, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes and bacon" I ordered and received a well made enjoyable sandwich. I returned a week later and ordered a turkey club. When I got home I opened up a sandwich that consisted of three slices of bread, turkey, and about 10 slices of bacon. That's It ! It was like biting into a salt lick. After removing more than half the bacon, I ate a dry turkey and bacon sandwich. Then a few weeks later I go in and there are two young girls at the order counter having a conversation, I walked up and waited for them to finish. Then one of them says can I help you? I ordered a "half of chicken and cheese sub, everything on it, no mayo" About half way through my order the girl tosses the sheet of paper and pen at the other and says you take it. So she looks at me and says "what did you want?" I placed my order for the second time. When I got home I opened a sub that consisted of chicken and cheese, nothing else. So I was charged $6.10 for a "sub" and received a dry "sandwich" They need help !! read more
