An EXCELLENT thin crust pie with a perfect cheese-to-sauce ratio. A bit on the pricey side though, but still worth it. This is probably the best thin crust pizza in the area and you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Bob will also make it any way you like. It's definitely better than the pie at Mountain House in Sparkill (which unfortunately changed its recipe some time ago - not long after the new owners took over). This place deserves 5 stars for a few reasons. 1) the kindness and welcoming attitude of the owners/staff is unparalleled in this area. They appreciate everyone's business and go out of their way to make sure you return. 2) the pizza/calzones are fresh, generous, and tasty. They use sliced ham instead of chunks on the Hawaiian pizza and it makes all the difference! 3) I personally am a fan of small-town American businesses that take pride in being part of a community, and I feel that this place fits the bill. It's been around for decades and the owners seem to know many of their customers well. I'm so happy that I found this place because the food is awesome and I value the role it plays in the community. If I had one compliant it's that the garlic knots were too garlicy, but I'm not sure that's actually a problem! DH and I love love love Bob's pizza. It is our go to place for pizza, wings, and salad night and as the name implies we love the thin crust. I take 1 star off because there have been a few occasions on some nights they were not open late enough and for also being closed on Sunday. Now before you jump all over me I get that people need a day off but there must be another solution! Although they are kind enough to open for Superbowl so at least when watching the most important football game of the year I can enjoy me some Bob's. Myself and two kids can normally eat a large pie and have a couple slices left over but this pie was not filling and we had to make more food after to get the kids full. We were heading from NJ to Boston and had some time so we decided to take the Palisades Parkway. We stumbled across George Washington's headquarters in the Tappan area and decided to stop and get a bite. Bobs Thin Crust was even a better find than the headquarters. We are from Long Island and this is the best pizza we have had since we moved off a number of years ago. I have found my go-to pizza place! While I was in there picking up my pie, a family was dining at one of their little tables and told me they went there at least 2 or 3 times a week.
