I have had my auto in there 2 times since September for the check engine light the first time they had it cost me around $624. It drove well and boom the check engine light came on again called them the gentleman was very nice bright it in another $247. It's December have not even drove this car 100 miles boom check engine light on again now I'm pissed off called them told them this is my 3rd time bringing my car in for the same problem I get well it could be a coil a switch we just can't say until you get the car in here well this answer does not work for me I feel now your just fixing the car where it will get me by for a month then boom bring it back and it's not the part that cost it's the labor plus there closed on the weekends this does not work for me you don't have an office job 9-5 people that do work m-f 9-5 expect mechanics to be open on the weekends guess it's time to find someone else to service my car read more

my tire blew right at the exit to the high and this way the closest place. they didn't have the tire I needed so they got me a ride to the place that did and then they changed it for me, getting me in between appointments. amazing people, theyre very kind. absolutely amazing experience!! read more

Shout out to Bob's Tire & Auto Service (again). I had a dragging noise I didn't want to take on US23 in my commute. Showed up as they were opening bays and pulling out a tire rack this morning with no appointment. In the time it took me to tell Bill that I'd dropped it off, they were looking at it, and he could pick me up and take me home, it was out for a drive, up on the lift, and one of the mechanics was calling me as I sat in their room: loose heat shield grinding on a tire (dammed construction). He had it off and my car ready to go by 8:30....NO CHARGE. C'mon. Who gives that kind of service these days? We're loyal customers and this is why. read more

I was referred to Bob's by a friend who said the business does a great job and doesn't price gouge. I called and set up an appointment to drop my car off. I figured doing that my car would be there all day. I arrived at 8:10. It's tricky getting in their lot. You can't get in off of Grand River. You have to go in near Dollar Tree. Anyway, got there and they immediately got my car checked in. Within an hour they called me and explained what needed to be done and gave me a quote. I needed new brake pads and rotors. I can't say whether the price was fair or not, but I needed it done so I went with it. Time is money so I didn't want to get a bunch of quotes. An hour and a half later they called and said my car was done. 2.5 hours was all it took and I was pleased with that. I went in to pick up my car and the check out process was easy. Wow. The people here are beyond kind and caring, even for the fact that I'm a car-uneducated woman. My tire appointment for winter tires was at 7. I got there at 6:30 since I wasn't driving back to my house over ice to come back to bobs again going over ice for new tires so I hung in town after getting out of work at 5. They took my keys at 6:30 even though I was early and immediately starting working on getting my tire into the shop and getting my current tires off. They were very quick about getting everything done, and even checked my brakes while they were under my car, and told me I'll need brake work soon. They even printed out estimates for the brake work and told me about rotating winter tires for maximum effectiveness all winter. Then they took my payment and out my old tires in my car for me to take home to swap back to come spring time to finish them off. Everyone I talked to while there was kind and had a genuine smile as if they enjoyed working there. Seems like a great place to work at, and a great place to get work done at. I'll be going here, as my dad has, for many years to come. Their prices were also wayyy cheaper than other places I looked at for the same exact tire swap. It was also $5 cheaper than I expected which isn't much but is always a happy surprise. I don't usually do this, but thank you Bob's Tire's staff for making my experience as quick and painless as possible yesterday evening. It means a lot when people actually try to not waste your time on their time, ya know. Couldn't ask for a better experience there. I guess my ONLY complaint I could even think of was that the waiting area is cooler than I'd want, BUT in such a small building, the windows are most of the front walls and the door opening brings in cold air, but even then it's COMPLETELY tolerable to be a little less than ideal temperature wise when they're kick-a** at their jobs and so speedy. Another plus is that all the ice chunks on my car thawed in the shop so I didn't have ice all over my car anymore. This place is a TRUE win win read more

Long story short my son NOT a mechanic but handy, in his 20's inspected said part was NOT corroded and replaced a relay switch for $22 in an hour!! In the process of moving from VA to MI, I had to consider giving up my super, trusted auto repair shop in VA. I took my car into Bob's for an oil change and to have the thermostat changed because the temp gauge wasn't registering the car warming up. I was hoping for that trusted auto repair relationship to develop. They did the work and then provided me with an estimate over $900 to replace the water pump and oil pressure sensor. Keep in mind, I had a stuck gauge, not a leak! I declined the work and decided to drive the car, keeping an eye on leakage. Sure enough, I had a leak now! I didn't feel quite comfortable giving this business to Bob's so I nursed the car with coolant and drove it back to VA (no problems) where I took it to my old shop. For $257.00 I got an oil change, tire rotation, oil pressure sensor and a FAULTY THERMOSTAT GASKET replaced and some stop leak added to the cooling system. Sorry Bob's, no second chances. read more
