Took my pickup there to get the smog check. The man told me I had to buy a California CAT, so I did, and 600 bucks later I got my smog. Fast forward two years later, I decided to try another shop. Told him what happened last time at Bob's, he said they lied to you sir, your truck is a Federal Truck, meaning that CAT was good in all 50 states. Never going back to them. read more

For getting tire related things done, they are good. They have one of the cheapest oil changes I've gotten, but the biggest issue, and I'm sure it's not something most people in this area notice, because this area is filled with very ignorant humans, who only think about themselves, but the fact that this place keeps exotic birds in a cage 24/7 is just gastly! I had to stop going there a long time ago because it's just so cruel and vile to have to see. I've looked in there a couple of times after they closed in the hopes of seeing the birds being able to be free around the shop after hours and nope, confined in a cage for absolutely no reason. They've been in there for years and years, if not decades, and it's just disgusting! If this was somewhere where people weren't consumed with themselves and educated, this would never be allowed! Been going here for decades. My husband works in the AT&T building across the street. It makes it easy to get work done on a work day. Someone is always available for flat tires, tire rotation and whatever you need. There's a small area inside to wait. Bob has collected many great memories of the area and it takes a good 45 minutes to absorb it all. We were here last year in desperate need of new tires. It would take 7-10 days to get from back east. Bob mentioned he had a different tire in the back that someone ordered and did take. He gave us all 4 at a great deal. They were mounted and rotated at no extra cost. I'll never go to the chain tire stores as long as Bobs is in town. Bob or Vance Nance, you cannot go wrong !!! read more

Driving up to Oregon on my way from the Bay and my check engine light came on and wanted to check the code on it to make sure it was nothing extreme. Was recommended Bob's by Napa Auto to check the code and the staff was great. As soon as I told the front desk my issue, he told me to pull around and he would send someone out to check it even though they were busy. Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone even my worst enemy. We got told we needed to replace parts in order to do an alignment, so we replaced the parts got the alignment done and discovered that the brand new tires were wearing because bolts weren't tight. Lance agreed to cover the damages as their work comes with a warranty and then changed his mind and said he would only cover a portion of it because the cost was unreasonable. Never will myself family or friends spend another penny in this place. Thank God nobody lost their life and a tire didn't fall off. We will take our business to Les Schwab from now on! read more

So I have gone here many times as well as my family and coworkers. Typically i have a great experience...not today sadly. One of those mornings what will go wrong will...Its raining with a shredded tire taking kids to school...i thought no biggie I no i can pop into Bobs and will get back going. Theman that came to help was no help. It was apparent he had a issue...He asked what kind of tire...My response was i dont no...because i dont...they have never asked me but just looked at gave me prices for new or used...then he asked something else to which i did not have the answer and his response was so rude .. Basically told me if i dont no he doesnt no either..to which i said normally they look at my car ...he then said well i dont no your car? Im at loss at this point as again they never made me feel so stupid for not knowing my tire...but again they have just always looked and then presented my options vs new or used. I ended up walking out tears streaming down my face...Will just go to Franks ...Im not sure how or why this is acceptable but was by far the worst experince i have ever had there. I dont understand why he didnt just say pull your car up and will take care of it like any other time...and Raul ..i will pray for you..any man that can treat a women like that needs all the prayers u can get...you lack of compassion and work ethic os disturbing. read more

My friend went into bobs tire center to get a oil change, left needing his oil plug rethreaded. it's costing 120 dollars to redo what they broke, plus the 50 dollars he spent to get his oil changed in the first place, 170 down the drain and he still has to replace the oil that has now leaked out. there's places who do oil changes every day, people do them at home and somehow this center managed to damage the car more than fix it over a simple oil change. read more

Outstanding customer service! This business clearly stands behind their work! Last summer Bob's Tire replaced the AC condenser on my truck. This summer no AC. Bob's Tire (re)charged the freon and added dye to check for a leak. (Over $100 for this and no charge.) After checking for leaks, it was the condenser fan that needed to be replaced. After several hours of labor, freon, and a new AC condenser fan still no charge. read more

I drove down from Redding to have a headlamp replaced on my wife's car, only to have them (Jay) discover that we'd broken the plastic retaining part and need a replacement assembly. Jay refused any money at all because he couldn't do the work. I live in Redding, so I usually go to Les Schwab. However, the last time I went into there, they quoted me $1200 for tire on my Chevy 2500 HD. That was for their generic store brand tire. They also quoted me $1000 for my wife's Tahoe. I remembered that I had loaned my camping trailer to a friend one time and when the tire blew out, he got a replacement for only $30 at Bob's, so decided to check it out. Im glad I did. It was $1100. Does that not sound like much savings to you? Did I fail to mention that it was for both sets of tires? Lol That's right! I got 8 brand new tires at Bob's for less than one set of tires at Schwab. The service was great. I didn't have to wait 3 hours to get them on and they let the kids play with the lizards and birds. Now, I won't put the bumper sticker on, but I'm a believer: More Bob! Trust me if your going through Red Bluff do not go to Bob's for any tire claims. They are lazy and do not follow through. Made me pay up front for a tire covered completely by insurance.
